  Time To Talk

  It's been 3 weeks since we were released from the hospital. We all have gained a substantial amount of weight but we still need to gain a lot more.Mom and Dad are amazing. I can't believe we found our biological parents. They are very loving and caring as is all our family. We started school with our cousins and Mom is one of our teachers. She is fair and doesn't show partiality. We are very far behind in our schooling. I can read and write but Lexie and Wren can not. The reason I learned was because I was taught by a man at what was called the LAB. He would sneak me out to teach me in secret. I never told anyone. He showed me things that went on there too. He took me to see Wren when she was first born. He told me if I ever found my real parents to tell them everything so they won't worry. So after school I asked Mom and Dad if we could have a family meeting with everyone. Dad links someone and tells us we will all meet at the library.

  We got to the library and were met with hugs from Geneva, Jo, Killian and Vlad plus Lolly and Pop Pop. The love that surrounds me makes what I'm about to tell my family a little easier. I don't know how these meetings are run but I have a lot to say. I just hope they let me talk.

  We walked up an old spiral staircase with rock walls. Dad tells us that his great grandfather had this place built and it was the original pack house. A large wooden door opened and the room inside came into my view. It is huge with a U shaped table with a few chairs that are taller than the rest. A medium tall chair was at the center of the U shaped table. Jackson told me that was my seat since I asked for a family meeting. I began by telling everyone thank you for allowing an 8 year old to have this meeting. I have a lot to say and it's not all good. Lex tells me not to be nervous. Jo tells me I'm in a safe place and I'm free to talk about anything I want to. Wren gets out of her chair and comes and sits in my lap hugging me. I feel more comfortable now to talk.

  I take a deep breath and say first I know we are behind in school, I know how to read and write some because a man would sneak me out and teach me. We lived in a place called the LAB. He took me to see Wren when she was born. The man told me that she wasn't born in a natural way since she wasn't carried in a woman's tummy. He told me that Lex and I were born the same way as Wren was. He called us lab made babies and the bad people created many more but they didn't live longer than 3 days. After a few years of him teaching me, he told me that he was going to get us out and the people would help us find our real parents. We were snuck out in a suitcase. Yolanda and Richard were only allowed to leave because of Yolanda being sick. Martha and Ervin were never supposed to leave with them. They just got into the car when we were leaving and refused to get out. The good thing was the man gave me bottles that made us smell like we were Yolanda and Richard's children so Martha and Ervin never knew the truth. While we were being put in the suitcases the man gave me 3 letters. One for Mom, One for Dad and one for Alpha Jackson. I found them and hid them in the basement. Thoran and Hynes never did find them, did they? The records I got us in trouble with Martha and Ervin were put in a loose brick in the fireplace after I found them in a box in their closet. I don't know if they ever read them. I doubt they did though. They aren't very smart and if they did read them, they would have known we were not. Yolanda and Richard's children, and would have sent us back to the LAB. Richard knew they were sent to spy on us and kept us hidden from them, even though we lived in the same house. I had put a special spray the man gave me on the papers so they wouldn't be seen by anyone but me. Martha and Ervin thought they'd lost them. They are still there if you didn't have the house torn down. Jackson said the house is still there. I asked if someone could take me to the house so I can get the papers. King Vlad offers to take me. We go to that horrible house and I run into the house with King Vlad right behind me. I get all the papers from the basement and fireplace.

  We returned to the library. I give the unopened envelopes to the people they are addressed to. King Vlad, Wayne and Sophie-Ann are the names on the envelopes. I gave Alpha Jackson the papers from the fireplace.
