Chapter 47:
Coming Together
Justina:
Everything feels like it's falling into place and we are getting close to finding out who is behind all the disappearances but at the same time it seems that finding answers are still far away. Nothing happens without a reason or a lesson. Jackson accepting help in the form of Beta and Gamma, is something I never thought would happen. Vlad and I adopting 3 adult children wasn't in the plans either and now Wayne and Sophie-Ann find out they have 3 more children instead of just 1. Deborah is still in the dungeon with Jane and John Doe. We have yet to interrogate them. We need to go over a mountain of paperwork, Lou and Nick are hacking their phones and computers, Thoran and Hynes are still combing the house for any secret hiding spots they may have had. Dianna suggested just tearing down the house brick by brick. Not a bad idea if you ask me but Jack hasn't made his mind up about that yet. The kids have resumed their studies and training and after dinner we go to the hospital to see Eric, Lexie and Wren. We relive Wayne and Sophie so they can get a shower and eat. The 3 kids are putting on weight and are asking when they can go home. It will be another week or two before they will be released according to Lou. There are no signs of the bruises on them now so they are healing properly.
They are talking more and more and are warming up to all of us. Vlad, Jo, Geneva and Killian are sitting on the beds talking to them now. I stepped out to get them all a soda. Jo links me and tells me we need to get the kids out of here. A nurse just came in and injected a tracker in them. I asked her where Geneva and Killian were at. She said they hid in the bathroom when they heard someone coming down the hall and the nurse looked like one of them from the pictures Sophie and Dianna were shown, the nurse named Deborah. I linked Lou and told him what Jo just linked me. He said Geneva just linked him telling him the same thing. He tells me he has a plan and needs me to keep Sophie and Wayne away from here for a while. I find Sophie and Wayne coming out of the cafeteria, I tell them I need their help with an important mission. When we walk out to the parking lot. Thoran and Nick are there. Nick links me telling me that my car is safe from trackers and bugs. I ask if he is here to see his brother. He said yes. Thoran, Lou and himself are having dinner together tonight. A little Uncle, Nephew bonding time. I tell him that is wonderful. That I'm taking Wayne and Sophie on a gift hunt for Dianna. We all hug goodbye and go our separate ways. In the car Wayne says. Justina, I know you well enough to know something is going on. Now what has happened. I told him and Soph about what the kids said and the nurse looked like Deborah. Surprisingly they don't panic. Soph says I know they are in safe hands and will be at home when we get back. Wayne agrees with her and says let's do some toy shopping. Soph and I laugh saying he has to be the first man in history that wants to go shopping with 2 females. He laughs and says I didn't say shoe or clothes shopping, I said toy shopping there is a huge difference. Soph laughs and says men and their toys. I ask her if she knows the difference between a boy and a man? She says no. I tell her nothing except his toy got bigger and his vehicle more expensive. Wayne said he doesn't find that funny. Soph says of course not because you don't have your mind in the gutter. He thinks for a minute and finally laughs. We get to the mall and Wayne heads to the toy store. Soph and I go to the kids' clothes. We pick out several outfits for all the kids and go find Wayne. He has 7 carts full of RC cars and trucks, air planes, race tracks, stuffed animals, dolls, with every piece of clothing available, strollers, carriers, car seats, fake baby bottles, doll houses with all the accessories, a play kitchen with play groceries and toy shopping carts and a cash register, kids make up and vanity tables. He bought 3 of every boy's toy and 2 of every girl's toy. He said he couldn't have them fighting over anything. I asked him where he was planning on putting all that stuff. My car won't fit that much. He said he had it covered and the next thing I knew Nick walked up. He said Lolly I think you and Aunt Sophie can do some more shopping while Unc and I take this( he waves his hand around) home and put it all together. Soph and I look at each other and tell them to have fun. We watch them haul all the carts out with the help of some staff and go do our own shopping spree. Sophie tells me she has already decorated the kids rooms, Liza, Layla and Lyidia helped her and also casted protection spells. She said the only room Wayne asked to decorate was the play room. I told her with all the toys he just bought, she might need to add an extra room. She laughed and said I might be right. We check out all the items. The stores are closing as we leave. When we get back to the pack. Nome and D come and help us unload our goodies. Jackson comes out and tells us he will take what belongs to the 4 curtain climbers at his house, he takes the bags that are marked with their names in the house. Nome, D Soph and I take the rest to Eric, Lexie and Wren. As we are walking in Sven, Sam and Stan come down the stairs. I ask how they are doing. Sam says I was doing good until I had to come help put 500 toys together. Stan laughs and says just think how long it would have taken if we didn't use our magic. Sven laughs and says he didn't even want to think about that, just moving all those toys around 50 times so they were perfect was enough for him to never want to see another toy in his life. We tell them we really appreciate them helping Wayne and to come by tomorrow for a thank you dinner. They agree as long as they don't have to put together another toy and say goodbye and they will see us tomorrow.

As I opened the door to leave after helping Soph put up all the clothes, Ann was just about to knock. We scared the crap out of each other, we both screamed, Soph and Wayne came running. We all had another good laugh about that. Then Ann got serious. She told us the kids are OK and the trackers have been removed. Thoran was able to make a portal and transport them to the pack clinic. Lou inserted the trackers into a few places no one would dare look for them. One was placed inside a hospital pillow, another inside the ambulance stretcher pad and the last one attached under a mop bucket. It would look like one of the kids was able to leave the hospital but was coming back to visit the siblings, the pillow would stay in one room and the one on the mop bucker would look like the kid was walking around the hospital. It was a perfect plan.
Ann said if all goes well tonight, the kids can be released for a few hours tomorrow to come see their rooms and toys.
I hug everyone and tell them how happy I am to hear such good news. Ann says her goodbyes as well and we walk out together. I can tell something is on her mind and ask her about it. She said she was just wondering how the children were able to escape with those people. I tell her I have been wondering the same thing but hopefully we will find out soon. She agrees and we walk to our homes.
