Chapter 45

  At The Hospital

  Jackson:

  We arrived at the hospital to see Ann was waiting for us. She led us to the chapel since it is the most private. Wayne, Sophie and Lou, Rachael and Thomas were waiting for us. We all sit on one pew. Lou began to ask a question and stopped. He starts again this time saying that what he has to say isn't easy. Sophie asks if the children are alright. He tells her Yes but what he has to say involves a sensitive subject. He says first the children as you know need to stay until they are a healthy weight. Wayne, Sophie have you given any thought as to why the children called you mom and dad so quickly? Sophie said she thought that it was because they lacked love and affection. Wayne said that's not the reason is it? Lou told them no. Vlad had suggested a DNA test and all 3 children when he heard that the children are already calling you Mom and Dad. It then clicked what he was saying. It is very rare for an abused child to call another adult Mom and Dad unless they felt or smelled the paternal bond. Sophie and Wayne are dumbfounded. I tell them about the suspicion of all the missing people being used as experiments, but how they are being used is something we haven't figured out yet.

  Wayne jumps up and says BREEDING THEY MUST WANT TO BREED DIFFERENT SUPERNATURALS TO MAKE AN SUPER POWERFUL ARMY.

  Something must have happened for the 3 children to be sent off with someone else, but what could have happened and how many other children are there like them? Mom breaks our thoughts by saying that the children need to hear this. It was their theory about people being kidnapped for experiments. We all agree but also we need Wayne and Sophie's children involved also. They might remember something important. Lou says right now, Wayne and Sophie, you need to make another important decision. What to name your children because they never had names or birthdays or even proof of birth, that we know of . We are not even sure of their true ages. The only ones who know are the 2 adults in the dungeon and maybe the children. Sophie asks what the children call each other. Ann said they haven't said a word to each other since being brought in. Wayne tells us he and Sophie must get back to the children. He didn't want them to think they had abandoned them. We agree and Vlad and Jo ask if they can see them and try to talk to them. Sure Sophie says and leads the kids to see 3 children.

  We all walk quietly down the hall. When we get to the kids room and are about to walk in, Vlad asks if he can go in alone. Sophie and Wayne nod. We stay behind the door listening.

  Vlad:

  Hey there. I'm your cousin Vlad. Your parents Wayne and Sophie-Ann are my great uncle and great aunt. I know you must be confused and honestly we are too but that isn't what's important right now. What is important is you all getting better. Do you have names or a name you call each other? The oldest boy told me, they never had names, only numbers 1,2 and 3. I asked him if he had a name he would like to be called. He said he likes the name Eric Wayne. I nod and tell him thank you Eric. I asked the second oldest if she has a name she likes and she said Lexie Ray. I then asked the youngest. She said she likes the name Wren because she loves birds. I asked her about a second name and asked me what my second name is. I told her Alexander. She said she would like to be named Wren Alexandra. I asked if they knew their age? Eric said he is 8, Lexie is 6 and Wren is 4. He only knows because he saw the records at the bad people's house. That's why they starved them because he was snooping around. I link Uncle Thoran asking if he and Hynes will go search that house for anything that even looks important and things that might not seem important but it may be also their computers and phones and we will be home soon. Uncle Thoran doesn't question me, he just says they are on it right now. I tell my new cousins that I love them and that they are safe now and to hurry and get better so they can come home and meet the rest of the family. I hug them all and tell them goodbye and I will see them soon. There Mom and Dad will be staying in the room with them so they won't be alone anymore. I tell Dad we have to go back home now. He doesn't question me, just tells everyone goodbye and we all leave.
