Tama
Afterwards, we made our way to the training grounds. It was a large circular area made of dirt with heavy wooden fences enchanted with durability to hold them in place. I knew the runes because Sensei used them on everything at home.
A pang ran through my chest and I winced in pain at the memory of my home, and what it looked like when I last saw it.
I pulled out Serenity and David pulled out a really big sword. It was bigger than me and Saki almost combined! David held it in one hand and tossed it between them as he looked at me. After a moment he frowned and tossed the sword to me. I caught it with my right hand, then looked at it. The sword had enchantments and it was pretty.
"Aw come on, really Tama? With one hand?!" I heard David say and I looked back over to him as he shook his head at me and sighed.
I frowned. "Was Tama supposed to catch with two hands?" My brows furrowed and I stared at the really big sword and back at David.
He just sighed. "No, Tama... it's just... never mind. Ready?"
I nodded and tossed the sword back at him. For some reason he dodged and the dirt made a small crater in the ground. He really should have caught it!
I readied myself, then instantly blinked to the right as Tristy tried to hit me with a fireball from behind. It missed David entirely since he was still getting up and hit the wooden fence, which shattered on impact. I turned and held up Serenity right as Tristy slammed down directly onto her. I used the leverage to shift to the other side and launch Tristy towards David, who instantly attempted to dodge, but he was too slow and Tristy hit him full force. Both went flying into another part of the fence, causing it to shatter. David didn't get back up. Tristy did. She checked David, nodded. Then stood and reentered the arena.
Saki called out, "Are you guys serious! Do you have any idea how expensive durability runes are!"
I looked over to her and said, "Tama can just make better fences after. She knows better runes anyway!"
Saki stared for minutes before calling back right as Tristy covered herself in flames. "You mean you can make durability runes and you let us sleep in sleeping bags in the dirt for weeks, Tama!"
I didn't have time to respond as I dodged under Tristy's punch and got her in the stomach. The force should have sent her flying instead, she braced herself and took the hit, causing blood to spurt from her mouth but latching onto me in a hug and I started to burn. I looked up and blinked far into the air.
Tristy managed to stay immolated, but I quickly began to spin extremely fast and she was forced to loosen her grip just enough for me to kick her off and towards the ground. But Tristy caught herself and flipped midair, blinking back up to me and using her fire feet ability to float. She launched herself at me, but I summoned water chains and surrounded her before she could reach me.
They wrapped tightly around her and her control went away. I used the chains as leverage to swing her in circles as she tried and failed to break free.
I went to throw her into the forest, but her burn messed up my arm and I aimed wrong. Tristy hit the ground hard, leaving a really large crater that covered the whole arena... or what was left of it.
I landed softly on the ground and brought up Serenity just in time for Tristy's fist to glance off of it. She was now bloodied and had cuts and bruises all over her now nude body. It seems the impact had ruined her clothes... Saki was going to be so upset.
I blinked backwards as Tristy swung again, her fist using enough force to create a fire vortex that sped towards me. I swung Serenity and a wave of water dispersed the fire vortex and I blinked directly in front of Tristy.
She tried to react in time, and she was close! But I was still faster and my punch landed right in her stomach, causing her body to launch far into the distance. I watched one of the smaller trees outside the Trelloark collapse to the side.
I looked over to Saki, who had reached David finally and was dragging his unconscious form around the destroyed arena towards me. "Tama, heal him!" she snapped.
I nodded and blinked over. Healing David was easy. He was barely damaged! He only had a little internal bleeding and a few large gashes on his arms, chest, and thigh.
He also had a light fever that was probably from the debuff Tristy caused when she hit things with her fire. It would slowly sap his energy and life over time.
I cleaned that real quick first. After making sure David was good as new, as well as seeing a boy fully naked for the first time, I tried to touch the thing between his legs but Saki smacked my hand and told me to go get Tristy. I didn't want to upset Saki, so I blinked over to Tristy.
Tristy had managed to climb to her feet; her flames licked her wounds and healed her quickly. She stepped forward and tried to raise her fist, but her strength finally gave out and she fell forward unconscious. I caught her and blinked back holding her to Saki.
Lots of people came out after that. They all gathered around me and the arena. They all talked at once, confusing me.
"What happened here?!"
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
"Is that Tama!?"
"Did Tama win against David in a fight by herself?"
"Why are the fences destroyed, did David break the fences?"
Saki had used her illusions to put clothes on David and Tristy. She also made a point to make Tristy's collar invisible. She gave Tristy a pretty dress for some reason and David a pair of boxers and shirt.
"Nya! Why don't you give Tama imaginary clothes!" I snapped at her.
Saki walked over and whispered in my ear, "We can talk about that later, they are real understand?"
I looked at her confused, but she looked at me seriously. I nodded and said, "Nya! Saki's imaginary clothes are real!"
Saki did her facepalm thingy and I looked over to the crowd of people. They had surrounded David and were looking at him in shock.
"Everyone get back!" a voice called out suddenly.
Tera appeared, she had bruises all over her body, and a large bump on her head from where she had hit the wall. It seems she had recovered and found us. I turned to blink towards the city, realized there was no direct path and went to blink up when Saki grabbed my arm. I was getting really tired of her doing that. But... Saki knew best. I turned and asked, "What does Saki want?"
Saki just held my arm for a long moment before saying, "This might be our best chance, Tama." She looked at me and smiled at me kindly. "This is our chance to introduce you. It shows you as a strong Queen that is not to be trifled with."
I tried to pull away but she held my arm firmly and I looked at her horrified. She sighed. "Tama, you know this is necessary, and I will be here. Please, just trust me, okay?"
I swallowed and looked at all the people, who had started to back up as Tera yelled for them to keep their distance. They seemed to respect Tera even though she was rude and weird. I looked over to see David waking up.
He reached for his head and winced before realizing he wasn't in pain. He felt over his body and looked confused before he saw Saki and nodded at her. Saki nodded back and he slowly stood to his feet.
Saki stepped forward and spoke loudly, her voice underwater sounding. "Everyone listen, you're soon to be Queen, Tamaneko has a speech prepared for you!"
Everyone went silent as a wave hit them. I felt the wave hit, it was ticklish and it made me giggle. Anna suddenly spoke in my head, "Don't worry, this will be a piece of cake, just repeat after me!"
I nodded and Saki turned to me, she made a point to bow theatrically and point her hands facing up towards me. "My Queen," she intoned loudly as she stepped back. "Please step forward and speak to your subjects."
I hesitated, but Saki looked up at me and glared. I stepped forward quickly. Anna whispered in my mind, "My dearest subjects!"
"Tama's dearest subjects!" I called out. Everyone murmured and looked at each other.
Anna barked in my head, "Imperial voice Tama!"
"Imperial voice Tama!" I said out loud.
Anna shimmered in amusement and said, "No, use your imperial voice." Anna paused and said, "Use your serious voice."
I nodded, causing the people to look even more confused and Saki to shake slightly. "Tama's dearest subjects!" I called out again, this time using my serious tone. A wave came out and hit everyone.
They all instantly fell to their knees and bowed. I felt shame and tried to blink, but a look from Saki held me in place.
Anna continued, "I have destroyed this petty arena, and defeated your champions with ease. This is a lesson in humility."
"Tama has destroyed this area really easily and this is a lesson in humanity!"
I felt Anna shimmer even more and she giggled in my mind. I giggled out loud and Saki facepalmed behind an illusion.
Anna spoke, "As you're soon to be Queen, I expect all of you to continue to be good subjects for the kingdom. Know that I, Tamaneko, will guide our people to a new age of enlightenment!"
I frowned as I tried to understand the words and Anna quickly corrected herself, "Queen Tama will be a good queen and lead her people."
"Queen Tama will be a good queen and lead her people!" I said happily as I finally understood what Anna said.
"You may stand!" Anna said.
"But Tama is already standing?" I said. I was confused.
"No them, Tama!" Anna screeched at me.
"Then tell them!" I said.
I felt Anna's frustration as her emotions bled into mine. After a moment she said, "Just say it!"
"You all may stand, Nya!" I said in my serious voice.
Everyone stood and stared at me. Some in shock, others in awe. I looked at Saki who smiled and nodded at me. Anna inwardly screeched at me, "We are going to work on our speeches Tama, so help me!"
"We are going to work on our speeches, Tama, so help Tama!" I said and everyone looked at me puzzled and Saki giggled.
Saki covered her mouth and coughed before stepping forward, clearly holding back laughter. "Thank you Queen Tamaneko, May your reign never end!" She called out and the whole crowd repeated to her, "May her reign never end!"
Then they all started to cheer.
