Entra nel Colosseo

Standing just outside the gates of the Colosseo di Valoria, the girls, now accompanied by Nika, found themselves gazing in awe at the massive open structure.

The colosseum was just as breathtaking as its name suggested. Its grand columns and arches stood tall, giving the arena a truly breathtaking presence.

The arena was surrounded by rows of seats, each one packed with excited spectators.

The chatter and excitement of the crowd filled the air, heightening the girls' nerves.

"Wow, it's... so huge," Alice breathed out, still taken aback.

Zalgo's eyes were wide with wonder. "I can’t believe how many people are here."

Nika chuckled at their reactions. "Yeah, I warned you guys. It's a big deal here in Valoria. Everyone comes out to see the tournament. You're gonna see some very powerful and influential people beyond these gates, believe it.”

The mention of influential people made the girls' nerves increase.

"Influential people?" Zalgo asked, her voice carrying a hint of anxiety.

Nika nodded. "Oh, yeah. Like, big-time influential. The Colosseo di Valoria's got VIP guests. The owner of the colosseum's here, and so's the leader of the mafia gang, the infamous Black Snake.”

The girls' brows raised at the mention of the Black Snake's name.

"The...Black Snake?" Rachel muttered, her nerves mixed with awe.

"He sounds...interesting,” Zalgo said, her voice tinged with disbelief.

Nika smirked. "Haha, not 'he', pal. The Black Snake's a woman.”

The girls' eyes widened even more.

"A woman?!" Rachel exclaimed, completely taken aback.

Zalgo let out a incredulous chuckle. "No freaking way.”

Nika nodded, clearly amused by their shock. "Yep. The head of the biggest and baddest mafia here in Valoria is a woman. I'm not joking. She's a real big shot.”

Zalgo let a lopsided smile spread across her face, scratching her head. "Whoops, shame on me for assuming genders here — 'The Black Snake' is just a very masculine-sounding title.”

Nika chuckled at Zalgo's embarrassment. "Heh! No harm, no foul, they say. A lot of people make that mistake the first time. But trust me, once you see who's running the Black Snake family, you'll get why she chose that name.”

The girls' curiosity was piqued. They couldn't help but ask.

"Why? What's her name?" asked Alice.

Nika's smirk widened ever so slightly. "Her name's Venera. Venera Bianchi. But everyone calls her Il Serpente Nero, or 'The Black Snake’. The lady does love the dramatics.”

The girls exchanged impressed glances, stunned by the revelations.

"Venera Bianchi," Rachel repeated, her tone carrying respect.

Zalgo added, "And she's the head of the mafia here? Yikes.”

Nika nodded, her expression turning a tad serious. "Yep. She's the one pulling the strings here, in business and...in the shadows, if you get what I mean. She's a total badass.”

The girls were in complete awe.

"That's..." Rachel's voice trailed off, finding it hard to articulate her shock.

  Zalgo's eyes widened. "Insane.”

Nika raised an eyebrow at their reactions. "Impressive, right? But, hey, that's Valoria. You'll find all kinds of characters around here. The city keeps it spicy. So let's pass these Coliseum gates and meet some of those characters, yeah?”

The girls straightened up, their nerves mixing with excitement.

Rachel, trying to sound casual, asked, "Hey, uh, will 'The Black Snake' be attending the tournament?"

Nika smirked slightly, finding the question amusing. "Oh, Venera? She'll be there alright. She never misses a tournament. She's a huge fan of the fights.”

The girls exchanged a look of concern, both thrilled and intimidated.

Zalgo couldn't help but ask, "So, we'll probably cross paths with her too?"

Nika chuckled slightly, amused by their worry. "Oh, you bet. Venera tends to get quite involved with tournament affairs since this Coliseum is her cash cow. So yeah, high chance you'll meet with her.”

The girls shared one last glance, knowing this was going to be a very interesting night.

"Well then," Rachel began, taking a deep breath. "Let's do this.”

Zalgo nodded, a mix of excitement and nerves evident in her voice, "Right, let's go in."

Nika smiled, seeming to appreciate their determination. "That's the spirit. Follow me, ladies.”

With Nika leading the way, the girls stepped forward, feeling the weight of their moment.

As they passed through the gates, they entered into a whole new world of Valorian entertainment. The arena was alive with energy, the crowd's voices filling the air with excitement and anticipation. This was it, the night of the tournament.

Taking in the energy of the arena, the girls felt their excitement mix with a bit of anxiety. The crowd's chatter was electric, anticipation buzzing in the air. This was it, the night of the epic Valorian tournament.

As they stepped into the stands, the vast size of the arena was striking. The tiers of seats rose from the ground like stairs to the stars, offering a grand view of the events to come.

The girls craned their necks, trying to take in the sheer grandness of the Arena.

"Wow, this place is... huge“ Rachel murmured, her voice echoing in the vast space.

Zalgo seemed a little dizzy from looking up. "Yeah, and from the looks of it, it's almost filled up with people."

Alice looked around at the sea of faces, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. "Looks like half the city's shown up for this.”

Nika nodded, seeming to agree. "Oh, more than half, trust me. These tournaments are a big deal here in Valoria. They're like state occasions almost. And from the looks of it, they've got a good turnout today."

As if on cue, the crowd suddenly roared louder. There was an anticipation for the action to come echoing throughout the arena. The energy in the air almost felt like it could be touched.

The girls exchanged a look, feeling the excitement grow within them.

Zalgo broke the silence, her voice tinged with excitement. "Alright, they're getting geared up out there.”

Alice, looking at the activity on the arena floor, added, "Looks like the main event is about to start.”

Nika nodded, her gaze fixed on the arena floor. "Yep, the tournament's about to begin. This is where the real excitement starts.”

The girls couldn't help but feel their nerves increasing with the mounting anticipation as the fight was nearing. But that was also mixed with a huge shot of adrenaline, the kind you get when you're about to do something huge.

The atmosphere felt electric, the excitement palpable. As the girls looked around, they could feel the energy in the arena. It was building up, almost like a storm.

Then, suddenly, the lights dimmed, silencing the crowd in an instant. The arena fell into a tense, anticipatory hush, the silence thick and charged.

For a moment, everything was still. The arena was quiet, almost too quiet.

Then, a single spotlight illuminated a figure standing in the middle of the arena.

The man in the center of the arena looked up as the spotlight found him. He was clearly preparing to deliver an opening speech.

The man's voice boomed through the arena, echoing off the stone walls. His voice was authoritative, and it had a certain presence to it.

"Ladies, Gentlemen, everyone else in attendance!" the man began, his tone commanding attention. "Welcome to the annual Grand Tournament of the Colosseo di Valoria! I am your host for this evening, your humble servant, Marco the Magnificent!”

The crowd roared as Marco acknowledged them.

"I see we have a wonderful turnout tonight!" Marco continued, his voice booming through the arena. "You're in for a treat this evening, ladies and gentlemen. We have a grand tournament planned, and the fights we have in store will be nothing short of spectacular!”

The crowd cheered in response, ready for the spectacle they were promised.

"But first," Marco boomed, his voice carrying a note of intrigue. "Before we start the tournament, I have a most special announcement.”

The arena quieted as Marco mentioned the special announcement, the crowd intrigued.

"Tonight, we have a very special visitor in attendance!" Marco announced, his voice echoing around the arena. "I am honored to welcome the very powerful and dangerous owner of the Black Snake gang, the legendary femme fatale herself—Il Serpente Nero!”

Marco's announcement was met with a murmur passing through the crowd, a mix of respect and apprehension.

"Venera Bianchi, the Black Snake herself, is here tonight!" Marco declared, the name resonating heavily. "She'll be watching the tournament from her private box. A real treat to have her here. Let's give her a warm Valorian welcome!”

The crowd cheered, their respect and fear obvious.

"Now, without further ado," Marco thundered, his voice echoing in the arena, "let the 150th annual Grand Tournament of the Colosseo di Valoria begin!!!”

The crowd went wild, their excitement reaching a peak.

Zalgo glanced around, clearly feeling the excitement. "Whew, the hype is unreal!”

Rachel, her heart pounding to the beat of the crowd, chimed in. "This is insane! I can't wait to see what's coming.”

Nika, amidst the excitement, reminded them of the gravity of the situation.

"Just remember girls, this tournament is no joke. The fighters here are some of the toughest in the city. This is where legends are made, and careers are broken. So, you best keep your eyes peeled for whatever unfolds tonight, ‘kay?”

The girls nodded, now feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness.

Alice glanced at the arena floor, where Marco had stepped back. "The fighters are coming out now, right?”

As if in answer, a deep buzzer sounded in the arena, immediately followed by the sound of grinding gears.

The girls focused their attention on the arena floor.

Zalgo noticed a gate slowly opening in the middle, its gears grinding loudly. "Looks like the fighters are coming out."

Rachel's curiosity was piqued. "But who's going to be the first out?”

Nika's gaze was fixed on the arena floor.

"We'll soon find out, ladies," she replied, her voice filled with anticipation.
