As the young woman approached, her thick thighs wobbled with every step. Her radiant smile never wavering, she came to stand before the girls.
“Hey there!” she greeted, her voice friendly and warm. “I saw you guys checking me out just now!”
Rachel, still taken aback, tried to respond. "Uh, yeah, we were—"
“Oh yeah, I can tell,” the young woman chuckled, cutting her off. “You were eyein' me up pretty good.”
Rachel blushed slightly, feeling caught. "Uh, yeah. You're, uh, really attractive.”
The young woman smiled, seeming pleased with the compliment. "Why thank you. And you're not too bad yourselves.”
Alice felt a mix of embarrassment and amusement. "Uh, thanks.”
Despite their nerves, the girls couldn't help but feel charmed by the young woman's friendly demeanor.
The young woman leaned in, her gaze flickering over the girls.
“By the way, the name's Nika! I'm a pro wrestler who also doubles as a supermodel.”
Rachel's eyes widened in surprise. "A pro wrestler and a supermodel? Wow, that's impressive."
Zalgo nodded, also clearly impressed. "Definitely. That's one hell of a combination.”
Nika's smile grew wider, obviously enjoying the compliments. "Yep, I'm a woman of many skills.”
Alice, intrigued, couldn’t help but inquire. "How do you balance both wrestling and modeling?”
Nika chuckled, clearly amused. "It takes a lot out of me, but it's worth it. There's something about wearing spandex and looking fabulous while kicking butt that really gets me going.”
The girls chuckled at Nika's unabashed honesty.
Nika's lips twitched upward, her next words teasing. "By the way, couldn't help but overhear you guys talking. You're not from around here, are you?”
"Uh, how'd you know?" Zalgo asked.
Rachel's eyes widened in slight concern. "Do we just have 'tourist’ written all over our faces or something?”
Nika chuckled, her amused smile not leaving her face. "Nah, it's not your faces that gave you away. It's the way you talk and dress. You guys don't really blend in.”
Alice, slightly flustered, asked, "Is it that obvious?"
Nika chuckled again. "Oh yeah, it's glaringly obvious that you're tourists. Nothing about you screams 'local’, you know.”
Rachel let out a small groan, playfully embarrassed. “Ugh, great. So we're basically walking neon signs saying 'I'm a tourist’.”
Nika let out a peal of laughter, her amusement clear. "Pretty much, yeah. But don’t worry, it's not a bad thing really."
The girls couldn't help but chuckle along, appreciating Nika's good-natured teasing.
“Besides,” Nika continued, her amused smile remaining. “Being tourists means you’re visiting, right? It’ll mean more time to enjoy yourself in Valoria.”
If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
“Yeah, I guess that's true…” Rachel admitted, conceding to Nika's point.
Zalgo, still a bit nervous but enjoying the conversation, chimed in. "So, um, by the way, would you happen to know where the Coliseum is?”
“Oh, the Colosseo di Valoria?” Nika replied, her face brightening. “Yeah, I know where it is. It’s not far from here at all.”
The girls' faces lit up.
“You do? Could you show us the way there?” Rachel asked, hope in her voice.
Nika nodded, seeming eager to help. "Sure, I'll show you. It's not far, and I know all the shortcuts.”
The girls couldn’t believe their luck, and relief flooded them.
“Seriously? That’d be so awesome,” Zalgo beamed, her gratitude apparent.
Alice, her voice carrying a sense of relief, added, “We’d really appreciate it.”
Nika waved a dismissive hand. “No problem, really. No sweat off my back. Say, why do you guys wanna go there, anyway? Are you thinking of participating in the upcoming tournament taking place soon?”
The girls exchanged glances, surprised by Nika's question.
"There's a tournament happening in the Coliseum?" Rachel asked, her curiosity evident.
Nika nodded, confirming their suspicions. "Oh yeah, there is. The tournament is a big deal happening tonight actually.” She let out a small chuckle, adding," Pretty much all of Valoria is going to be there.”
The girls exchanged impressed glances. This tournament was obviously a big deal.
"For real? Everyone's going to be there?" Rachel reiterated, her voice filled with curiosity.
Nika nodded, her smile growing wider. "Yep, pretty much. It's the biggest event of the year in Valoria. Every citizen is getting ready for it. Even the biggest mafia in the city has its full attention on that tournament, trust me.”
This piqued the girls' interest even more.
"The mafia?" Rachel asked, a hint of intrigue in her voice.
Nika nodded again, her expression turning somewhat serious. "Yeah, the mafia. They control a lot of the city, but even they are laser-focused on the tournament. Rumor has it they've got a fighter in there who's undefeated.”
The girls' curiosity deepened. An undefeated fighter, especially backed by the mafia, sounded like a big deal.
"Damn, undefeated?!" Zalgo exclaimed, her surprise evident.
Nika smirked, confirming the rumor. "Yep, 'The Invincible Woman'. Not lost a single match. The whole city is talking about it.”
The girls' interest skyrocketed. “The Invincible Woman?” Alice asked, her voice full of intrigue.
Nika's smirk grew wider. "Oh yeah, that's what they call her. And the nickname fits her perfectly. She truly is invincible in the ring.”
Rachel couldn't help but interject, the curiosity too much for her to contain. "Wow, that's...intense. Is she really that good?"
Nika nodded decisively. "She really is that good. Her fighting skills are like...insane. She's got moves that just make your jaw drop, plus she’s super athletic, smart, and strong. It's like she was born to fight.”
The girls were blown away. A fighter like that was the real deal, no doubt.
"Wow... that's insane," Alice remarked, her admiration evident.
Zalgo chimed in, her voice tinged with awe. "No kidding. Undefeated and invincible? Sounds like she's on another level altogether.”
Nika smirked in agreement. "Oh, she's definitely on another level. I'll say it again, she was born to fight. Her skills are unlike anything I've ever seen.”
Suddenly, a thought seemed to click in Nika's mind. She looked at the girls with renewed interest.
"Say…you girls wouldn't happen to be thinking of participating in the tournament, would you?”
The girls exchanged glances, realizing that their intent was being quite obvious.
"Uh... yeah, we are," Rachel admitted, her voice a little hesitant.
"How'd you know?" asked Zalgo, a hint of surprise in her voice.
Nika smirked, shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly. "Just a hunch. You've got that whole 'determined-warrior' aura about you ladies. And your questions have been pretty transparent.”
The girls chuckled at Nika’s observation, knowing they weren’t subtle.
"Well, got us there," Rachel admitted, a smile on her face.
Nika's smirk turned into a full-blown smile. "Thought so. You girls have that look in your eyes, like you're itching to jump into the arena.”
The girls couldn't help but laugh at Nika's assessment.
"You're spot on," Alice admitted, amused by Nika's observation. "We are kinda itching to give it a shot."
Nika chuckled, clearly enjoying their conversation. "Well, let me tell you, ladies, you're in for a hell of a fight tonight. The competition is gonna be fierce, especially with ‘The Invincible Woman’ in the mix.”
She gestured to the entrance of the cafe. "So, time for me to lead the way, yeah?”
The girls' faces lit up with excitement.
“Hell yeah!” Rachel affirmed, practically bouncing with excitement.
Zalgo, also getting pumped up, eagerly nodded. "Lead the way. Let's do this!"
Nika smirked, clearly enjoying their enthusiasm. "That’s the spirit! Just follow yours truly, and we'll be there in no time. As the Valorians say...andiamo!”
The trio grinned wider, ready to follow Nika's lead.
"Andiamo!" The three cheered in unison.
