  The elevator was turned into charcoal black and crumpled and fell apart into pieces from the intense heat.

  "A-Are they gone?"

  One of the researchers moves closer to the remains of the elevator.

  "Everyone, put your hands down." commands the head branch.

  Everyone in the room turned around and saw that Light and Lily had already taken the head branch as a hostage in the back.

  "Geez, if they got killed just like that, they wouldn't be famous at all in the underworld, wouldn't they?"

  "Just so you all know, it was a really obvious trap. We just went with it because we have that much upper hand against any of you!"

  "(Truthfully, I just wanna snuggle with Lily. . .)" said Light to himself, but he kept himself in composure.

  "Yeah, listen to what my man said!"

  "(Actually, I was happy when he invited me to snuggle with him. . .)" said Lily in her head, but she kept her facial expression neutral to not show Light her real thoughts.

  All of the scientists, researchers, and professors were hit with a realization of the futility of their plans and actions.

  "If you all behave properly, we won't hurt anybody, as we haven't killed a single person since we arrived!" says Light.

  "Now, everyone! Lie down on the floor in a prone position, please!" commands Lily.

  Everyone in the room obeys Lily's request without making any fuss or struggle, as they have ultimately accepted their defeat.

  Light looks towards Lily. He didn't say a word; he just gave a thumbs down to Lily. Lily strangely understood Light's gesture. She moves again at a speed faster than light. She moves around the entire room as she knocks out each and every scientist, researcher, and professor in the room who was lying down in a prone position with a gentle smack. Then she returns to her spot in the blink of an eye. The entire sequence happens in just one second.

  "Done!" Lily smiles towards Light.

  "Good job, Lily!" Light smiles back at her.

  "Now, then, you are the head branch, correct?"

  "There's no use making up excuses. I am indeed the head branch of this specific facility."

  "What are you doing here exactly? I see no children being experimented on in this facility."

  "Children? What are you on about?"

  "Huh?"

  Light and Lily were confused by the head branch's response.

  "Isn't this facility affiliated with the one that does child experiments? To develop child soldiers?"

  ". . .Are you lying to me?" Light deepens his tone as a way to threaten the head branch.

  "N-No!! Of course not! I know exactly who you two were! Why would I lie to you two? You two can easily find out the truth anyway using your Faith power, even if I were to lie! I can be put into what will feel like an everlasting torture using the Queen of Time's power! Why would I wanna risk myself going through that hell?"

  "Then what on earth are you experimenting here?"

  "We're testing a bunch of chemicals on plants, death rows, patients, and animals to find a cure for various diseases that don't have any cure yet!"

  "Light-kun. . .This might sound strange. But I don't think this guy is lying, nor was the guy we got this info from. They both told us the truth. They have no reason to risk their life by lying to me."

  ". . . .Then my next assumption would be, this facility does have some form of affiliation with the one from your past; however, in terms of projects, this one handles different matters entirely."

  "I can easily guess that this is for the sake of making up a cover for what their original purpose and goal were. This entire facility is a front just for the sake of legitimacy."

  Lily crouches and touches the floor. The entire facility was glowing in bright light blue for a few seconds.

  "I restored everything to the way it was. It seems like there's a slight misunderstanding."

  "Let me take it out of my shelves."

  The head branch walks away from Light and Lily. He takes something out of one of the many shelves in the room. The head branch walks towards Light and hands over a very small flash disk drive.

  "This is it."

  "Alright, I thank you for this! And also, I humbly apologize for this mess, Mr. Head branch!!"

  Light bows his head towards the head of the branch professor. Seeing what he did, Lily follows after him and bows her head as well towards the professor.

  "I apologized too!!"

  "I-It's okay! If I may know, what exactly are you two after? What are those children you're talking about?"

  ". . .I don't think you should know about this."

  Lily moves closer towards Light and whispers.

  "Light-kun, I'll revert their bodies to the time before we arrive, that way, their memories will also be gone!!"

  "Ah, alright! I didn't even know you could do that! Thank you, Lily!"

  "Mr. Head branch, we're done here! We'll be taking our leave."

  "Because in one of the branches of the facilities, I heard someone has awakened a black hole Faith power. This info came from a guy who has a colleague on his research team. The friend of this guy accidentally found out and saw the person with the black hole power murdered right in front of his eyes. And then that friend disappeared without any trace whatsoever the next day. The info guy was informed that his friend was immediately allocated elsewhere as per his own wish, but that just smells a lot like a massive cover-up. The info guy spread this rumor on the internet, and it spread like wildfire at first, but then the next week, the info guy also disappeared without a trace, and then any information regarding this topic was also wiped off the face of the internet."

  As Lily was about to say something, she was interrupted by Light, who put his right pointing finger on her lip.

  "I know exactly what you are going to say! My answer is a big NO!"

  "You want to infiltrate the HQ of the Ten Commandments of God, right? So that you can gain some insight on them, and then you can share any info with us, Judges, to help us in case we're butting heads against them. Isn't that exactly what you were thinking?!"

  Light tightens his hug on Lily.

  "FUEH?! FAFUFAU FEEEEEHH?"

  Light lets go of his hug. He holds both of Lily's shoulders.

  "Apology accepted!" Light smiles at Lily.

  After a few seconds of staring into each other's eyes, they finally snap out of it.

  "O-Okay! We should leave this place!"

  "A-Alright, we should!"

  "Don't forget to revert everyone's memories to before we arrived here!"

  "Of course!"

  "Ah, what about CCTV footage?"

  "I already took care of that when I fixed the entire facility. I reverted its time to before we arrived, there should be no footage of us anymore in their hard drives!"

  "Okay, good! Let's leave then!"

  "Yeah, thank you, Lily! At least we actually got some leads for the next few facilities. And I also can't believe the fact that we got some juicy info about the blackhole Faith power situation. I never thought of that before."

  "Yeah, and that makes me wonder, how did you get away from their radar? If they even have any, I meant."

  "Hmm, the only answer I can give is that the One True God is protecting me, hehehehe!"

  "Ah, of course He is! Hahahahaha!"

  "Ah, there's our home! Eh? There's someone on the front door?"

  Light and Lily try to focus their sights on the guest at the front door as Light flies closer and lower towards his house.

  "RUNELT?!" said Light and Lily at the same time.

  Light lands near Runelt, and Lily hops off his back.

  "Runelt! What are you doing here?"

  "Do you need something, Runelt-san?"

  Runelt was sitting on his knees facing the house. He turns his head around towards Light and Lily.

  "Light. . . Lily-san. . ."

  Runelt is crying. His tears are flowing nonstop down his face.

  "W-What happened?"

  Light and Lily saw that Rena was lying unconscious in front of Runelt, right in front of the door. Her condition was horrible right from the get-go go with her missing her entire left arm and the hole in her stomach.

  "Please, help my sister!" said Runelt as he begged Light and Lily with tears running down his face.

  This is the first time Lily and even Light, who's known him longer, have ever looked at Runelt with such a vulnerable facial expression.
