In 1431, Remy, a traveling knight, found a woman floating in the River Seine, a woman who called herself Jehan. With nowhere to go, she accepted his offer to travel together. From that moment on, the two, later known as the Knight and the Dame in Blue, would be glimpsed across the centuries, they appear again and again, captured in paintings, journals, even photographs, unchanged, unaged, and always together.
