Chapter 39: Purification of the Blood Pool Hell

Slayer's rocket launcher was roaring frantically.

Every rocket accurately hit a Blood Demon (Gore Nest/Super Gore Nest spawn) just climbing out of the blood pool.

Flesh and blood flew, red liquid splashing everywhere.

But this was the Blood Pool Hell. The entire lake was the source of life for these monsters.

Before the limbs of a just-shattered Blood Demon could even fall, they were wrapped by the blood water beneath their feet and instantly reorganized into a new, even larger monster.

  "ROAR—!"

The Blood Demons let out mocking roars, as if saying: Useless. Here, we are gods.

  Slayer didn't stop.

His logic was simple: You regenerate once, I kill you once. You regenerate ten thousand times, I kill you ten thousand times. Until your regeneration speed can't keep up with my reload speed.

He switched to the Gatling gun.

  Vrrrrm-Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!

A rain of bullets. Standing on the shore, Slayer forcibly suppressed a swath of Blood Demon army in front of him, keeping their heads down.

But this was indeed an endless loop.

Daoist Singularity, hiding in the back, watched this endless war of attrition, his heart bleeding.

"Big Hero! Stop shooting! This cost-performance ratio is too low! Ammo is money too!"

Slayer ignored him completely. He was killing in a frenzy, even preparing to jump directly into the blood pool to engage in melee.

Singularity knew he had to act. Otherwise, Slayer could spend eternity here.

He dug out a bottle of "Purification Bacteriophage" from his backpack.

  "Must change the environmental parameters!"

  Singularity spotted an opportunity.

Just as Slayer used a high-explosive round to blast open the center of the blood pool, revealing a massive energy vortex below.

  "Big Hero! Catch this!"

Singularity didn't hand the bottle to Slayer (that would be ignored); instead, he threw the bottle directly in front of Slayer's gun muzzle.

Slayer's dynamic vision caught the flying object.

  Instinctive reaction.

He didn't cease fire; instead, he used the gunstock to strike violently.

  Smack!

This hit was like hitting a baseball, accurately sending the glass bottle flying.

The bottle drew a perfect arc in the air, flying straight toward the big vortex in the center of the blood pool.

Slayer didn't even look at what it was. He thought it was a grenade.

The moment the bottle fell into the vortex.

  Slayer added a shot.

  Pop!

The bottle exploded in the center of the vortex. The blue liquid inside was instantly sucked into the depths of the blood water.

  The next second.

The Blood Demons that were regenerating frantically suddenly stopped moving.

Golden bubbles began to emerge from their red bodies.

  "Aaaaaah!"

  The blood water boiled.

That wasn't heat; that was the reaction of Holy Purification.

The bacteriophages multiplied at a terrifying speed, treating the resentment in the entire blood pool as food.

Dark red blood -> Turbid pink -> Transparent gold.

A wave of color change exploded outward from the vortex center.

  Slayer paused.

His finger, preparing to pull the trigger, stopped.

Because the regenerating Blood Demon in front of him suddenly melted like a candle. Its regeneration speed couldn't keep up with the purification speed.

  In just one minute.

That disgusting sea of blood turned into a Holy Water Lake emitting divine light.

The stench of rot in the air vanished, replaced by a faint fragrance.

  Slayer lowered his gun.

He looked at this battlefield that had suddenly become "clean."

Although he didn't know what happened, he could feel that those disgusting monsters were indeed dead.

He turned his head and looked at Singularity, who was hiding behind a rock with a "Praise me quickly" expression.

  Slayer didn't speak.

He just put the gun back on his back, picked up a chunk of un-melted Blood Demon crystal from the ground, and tossed it into the Holy Water Lake.

  Hiss—

  The crystal dissipated instantly.

  Slayer nodded.

  This water, not bad.

He walked to the lake, squatted down, and with his iron gauntlets covered in blood, scooped up a handful of Holy Water to rinse his faceplate.

  Car (Armor) Wash.

Singularity breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly recorded on his tablet:

  [Tactical Coop: Projectile Purification.]

  [Result: Environment Reset Successful.]

  [Slayer's Evaluation: Nice hand soap.]

  "Pollution vs Governance."

Slayer used his violence (physical hit) to complete the most efficient delivery of an eco-project.

"Next chapter, Twelfth Layer: Unjust Death Hell (Wang Si Di Yu). The ghosts there have the heaviest resentment, crying all day long. Singularity says: Time to give them some 'Psychological Counseling'—for example, watching a livestream of Slayer killing demons?"
