Chapter 43: Muffled Sound!

Someone was touching my upper body, opened my eyes to check to the left what was going on, and of course, it was the Goth witch with a traditional leather outfit and bouncy tits that were included in the package of healthcare nowadays.

"You should rest some more, Berk!"

Ugh, after seeing the shit footage of being criticised by a damn elf, I have just put it at number one on my top priority fudge-up list.

Got up slowly to check if the pain would come back, but strangely, I felt quite refreshed and no blood through the bandage.

  "Eh, did you do something?"

She smiled with the Goth make-up, and I was definitely not sure if that was genuine or if she wanted to kill me.

"Yes, I put in the medicine from a recipe we got from the Master Doctor."

  "Master doctor?"

"Hihi! Yes, many shops that handle some medicines have received recipes for various injuries across the kingdoms, along with specific instructions for treating the wounds."

  "Huh, did it work?"

"I suppose it does, you are not bleeding through the bandage, and Tinker stopped limping a while ago, but the medicine makes you tired also, so you go into deep sleep."

Interesting stuff, I wonder if there is one that recovers one in an instant.

"Is there any medicine that, like on que, can heal injuries?"

She looked at me and laughed.

"I don't think so, if you didn't have the doctor by your side all the time."

That was like the swoosh of epitemy for me. We already have an annoying cat, a Tittinator unhinged bomb explosion on the team. What if we had a doctor who could fix injuries in an instant? What a brilliant idea, maybe, then maybe we will survive this ordeal.

"Eh, where can I find this Master Doctor?"

  She stopped smiling.

  "Why exactly are you asking?"

"Uh, well, maybe we can train Mejni on medicine, so force...I mean, gather knowledge and spread it around the team."

  She looked suspiciously at me.

"Well, nobody knows where the doctor is. I know there were four of them during the Valiant War, all trained by a talented doctor, but it has been such a long time now that all of them must have passed. I am not sure, do not take this seriously, but I have heard a protege of one of the Master Doctors' work is here, the recipes work, so I suppose it can be the protege of one of the four Masters that is here in the Fallen Kingdoms."

  Protege h?h! Excellent.

"You do not happen to know the name of this so-called protege."

"As I said, do not take it seriously, but the rumor I heard is that the name is Doctor Kaz. Nobody knows what the doctor looks like. The rumor is that the recipes we receive are from the doctor, but as I mentioned, do not take my word for it. Nobody seems to have any information regarding what species, or how experienced it is."

Hm, it can be hard to find a doctor without a face if they don't wear a white cape. I was going to grab my shirt when Fanny reached out a plaid shirt that looked like it was from the 80s.

  "Eh...Thanks!"

I put it on and could hear in my mind people commenting on how ugly it is. She reached a light-brown blazer to me, like a golfer from the 50s, and waved it back and forth, waiting for me to grab it. Took it grudgingly as my blazer looked like it had seen better days. She reached for a light-brown beret, also made so many years ago that you could always call it the Age of Adam and Eve. Grabbed it and put it on my head. She reached out for her glasses, not like the normal ones we have back home; these were big glasses with a riding bow and temples, making me look like the ultimate nerd 2.0. I do not even want to look at a mirror right now. She gave me a couple of brown pants, but that is where I say stop.

"Nah! Never. I do not want to walk around scratching my balls. You can keep it."

"Aw, I was just trying to give you camouflage clothing so they do not recognize you."

She is kidding, right? The beret and the glasses would probably make them think I am a golfer from the 50s, even though they probably don't even know what golf is here. The black pants look good on me with my comfortable sneakers. Looked down and noticed she had put brown wedding shoes on me.

  "Eh, where are my shoes?"

Fanny looked for something and showed all my ripped clothes in a bundle with a big hole in my sneakers, damn it, this will make movements harder for me.

"What are you going to do with my clothes?" I asked her.

"I will have them fixed at a shop when I arrive there?"

  "I?"

"Oh, when all of you were sleeping, a box showed up and congratulated and warned about not being on the train when it comes to the station, because your faces have been on the news."

Be calm, Berk, be calm. Tinker got up, grabbed a white star-shaped bag, and threw it over her shoulder.

"What is that?" I asked her.

"She turned with the bag as I saw Mejni completely bandaged over his whole body, with only holes over his eyes and mouth. The rest of him was all covered, and they must have spread out his legs and arms in a star shape.

  "Do I want to ask?"

"Muff...MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUF, muff muff!" The Muffled sound of the star-shaped Mejni bag tried speaking up.

"Sorry! When you fell asleep, his adrenaline slowly faded, and a lot of his muscles were in bad shape, so I had to put emergency plaster potion on him and then rolled him up in bandages, forcing him to drink some potion to recover faster."

Looked at Fanny, and I got a little suspicious about whether she did enjoy treating him; he's gotten made into a star-shaped shoulder bag."

"Eh, what's with the...you know shoulder thingy?"

"Oh, Tinker asked for it, so she didn't have to carry him under her arms, so we made a shoulder bag out of him," Fanny explained with a smile on her face.

Tinker made a pose with Mejni hanging around her shoulder, him staring at me and making an awful lot of muffled sounds. Well, he wanted to be closer to the women; here is his chance.

"We will arrive shortly at the end station. Please sit down and make the necessary preparation." It sounded in the air from some announcer.

Fanny sat down quickly, and first a buckle went over her hips, then one more from the left shoulder down to the right, and then from the right shoulder to the left. I could feel the bad news that something was going to happen.

"GO! NOW!" Fanny screamed at us.

I got out of the door on the wagon and climbed quickly up to the roof, and the first wagon was very long. Tinker came right beside me, a muffling Mejni bag around her shoulder, as we moved forward when the front of the wagon started to rise into the air and moved fast towards us. Tinker took off Mejni's bag and threw him like a frisbee right at some dark black go beneath, and jumped. The train was moving up in the air, and I got frustrated and jumped a couple of seconds after Tinker fell, high down into the goo that actually was freaking deep mud. Mejni, for some reason, was above and did not sink into the mud when Tinker grabbed him and started to swim towards me, or at least she tried, and I moved slowly in the shitty mud towards the grass and climbed up on safe ground. What a great camouflage I had, filled with shitty mud; it was quite useless to change the clothing. Tinker was in the mud in such a stage that whatever shit she had under her tank top, there was no way to hide the hard nipples beneath all the mud. Mejni kept muffling under the plaster like he was the one covered in all the shitty mud. On the left, some animal showed up, turned to us, and made a 'N?ff' sound, more or less indicating that we were a bunch of pussies who probably couldn't handle the mud. Then the fat-looking pig-horned animal jumped in and started making backstrokes while looking at us like we were cowards or something.

"This is going to be a hard day!"

  "I agree!" Tinker answered.

"mffff mfff mufff mffff mfff!” Mejni kept trying to speak, but maybe it was good for everyone. We couldn't understand him when he spoke, so the muffled sound is like him trying to speak to us and it didn't matter anyway.
