  Chapter 12

  Home

  Jackson

I have contacted all the witches in the pack to see if they would place several different spells in around the family home and Pack house. The main spell I asked for was an Anti Stink Spell. Lou promised there is nothing wrong with Vlad but I beg to differ. I would rather be put in a den of Poll Cats than be in a room when he farts. He should be qualified as a chemical weapon. Tear gas and bear repellent has nothing on that boy.

I hold a meeting with the witches in my office. My home away from home. I love my antique Walnut desk, the real Pine walls with all my favorite family pictures and the deep burgundy carpet. I'm in the process of hanging the new family picture with the twins up when the first of the witches arrive. Layla, Lyidia and Liza, They are sisters and also cousins to D. They sit down on the couch like they own the room. I wait for the others to arrive, Sam, Stan, and Sven. Three of the finest Warlocks anyone could ever meet. I figure six would be enough. If they need help with the task I ask for, they will tell me and I will of course pay them as well. I know the Witches and Warlocks in my pack will not try to rip me off when it comes to cost.(They are expensive but I know they won't extort me for money or like some other witches would. Witches are known to be greedy but these 6 like to help others).

I explain what spells I'm hoping for them to perform and tell them the reason why. They laugh when I explain Vlad toxic gas, but they need to know how bad it really is in order to perform the proper strength of the spell. Sam and Lyidia volunteered to go to the hospital and witness the power of Vlad's toxic gas themselves. God I hope they know what they are in for.

Liza, Sven, Stan and Layla agree to cast the very specific protection spells that I would like performed. They even add to the list. The ones I forgot or might need in case of Rogue Attacks or War. Even though that hasn't happened in 100 years. It's better to be safe than sorry. After we get the arrangements made.

Sam and Lyidia are back with a grim expression: their complexion is green. I asked them if they could make a spell powerful enough to counteract the chemical weapon that is my son. Sam glares at me as Lyidia runs to the bathroom to empty her stomach. When she returns. She said it will take a few days of research to find something powerful enough but she couldn't guarantee the results I am requesting. I tell her that even if it smells like a normal fart, it will be a better smell than what it is without any spell at at. She gives a quick nod and stands to leave saying she will get started right away, but will need the help of 5 more spell casters to help. I assume she will need more and tell her, to ask more people, she will need a lot of help with this task. She agrees and everyone follows her out except for Sam. He is furious with me. He asked me why didn't I tell them that the gas my son lets off cuts through the gas mask. I laugh and tell him. That it took 2 days for me to stop smelling his retching scent. He shakes his head, telling me,he will be helping Lydia with her research. With that taken care of. I head back to the hospital. I want to see my mate and babies. I need to give D a detailed report on the plains and spells that will hopefully be casted before she and the babies come home. I need to test how many air purifiers I will need in the nursery. There is no way I will subject my baby girl to her the power of her brother's farts. I will pick up 5 before I head to the hospital. I bought the best ones Home Depot had.

Hopefully that will be sufficient for the nursery. The only way to find out and that is to test it. God please let this work.

I set up all the purifiers in Vlad's nursery at the hospital. Even the hall stinks. Nick is sitting in the middle chair in front of the nursery doors. He looks at me and says he just fed Ava and was waiting for the smell to fade before he went to check on Vlad. I tell him about the purifiers I just put in and I will check the room in 15 minutes. He nods and says Mom is sleeping. I go to her room and peek in. Sure enough she's sleeping soundly. She needs the rest. This is the first time she has slept because she was very worried about Geneva. I'm very proud of Monk for following his insight and curing his sister.

Mom called and said her and my aunts are going through documents and reviewing all the videos before and during the birthing process to see if they can find a reason for the reversing of the twins. They haven't found anything definitive yet but will continue to work. Even Dad called and is doing his own research. He told me, he has a theory but it won't be confirmed until the children come of age. He says he will talk to mom and tell Dianna and I together incase he is correct, we will be prepared. He promised it will not affect the baby's health. I'm ready to hear his thoughts no matter how good or bad they might be. He said he and mom will be here in 2 weeks to see his grandchildren and to talk to us. I miss my parents and I love when they visit. They have a house next to ours but prefer to live in Romania. I wish they would move here. I have a feeling they will be needed more than ever now.

I hang up with dad, and check how the purifiers are working. I walk in and though the smell is a smidge better, it's still not close to being bearable. Nick looks lost in thought. I just sit beside him. He looks at me and asks if could cash in his credits to graduate early because he wants to spend time with the twins before he leaves for college. I don't know what has changed in this boy, but whatever it is I hope it's for the better. God knows he has been a handful.

We see Louis coming up the hall with a female on his arm. Wow! She is the Sonogram tech that D. had. No wonder Lou was hovering around her.

Nick and I give each other a knowing look and smile. Looks like my second born has found his mate and is ready to introduce her to his family.

Lou walks up to Nick and I and introduces Ann as his mate and tells me his mom and the twins can go home as soon as she wakes up. He also says he will bring Ann for a proper introduction and plan the mating ceremony then in two weeks. I tell him his grandparents are coming in two weeks to tell the family their theory about the twins' reversals. That it will be a perfect time to come since Ann needs to know about everything in the family because we don't believe in hiding secrets from our mates.

Nick says he will stay at the hospital while I go get the suv and car seats ready for their ride home. I thank him and jump up and run to the elevator. I'm ready to have my mate and babies home.
