Apologies
Jackson:
Thoran volunteers to check on the kids while we have a talk with Wayne and Sophie-Ann AKA Sue. We are in my office this time. I must admit they look much better now they are cleansed from the darkness and from a shower. We are seated in a circle around so no one feels pressured or superior. We waited for Wayne to speak but to our surprise it was Sophie-Ann who spoke through tears.
Sophie-Ann:
I don't know how I can even begin to apologize for the harm I have caused you all. I have done and said some horrible things to the children.
Wayne:
Honey, start at the beginning. When all of this started.
Sophie-Ann:
That would be a great place to start. You see, when I met Wayne I was a teacher to be exact. I loved my job. I love children. I know my past actions haven't shown it but I really do. After I met Wayne at a Cafe, I finished my year teaching and we had our mating ceremony. I'm sure you remember that. Wayne and I wanted to start a family right away. At the time he was 35 and I was 23.
The day I found out I was pregnant we had gone to the hospital to have a check up because I wasn't feeling well. On my 17th week check up and find out the sex of our baby, Wayne couldn't go with me because his brother had shown up totally unexpectedly. Wayne had already told me about his brother and sister in law. We didn't want them to know anything about the pregnancy at all. I excused myself by claiming I needed to run to the grocery store because I was missing ingredients for dinner. This is where things get fuzzy for me. I remember having the Ultrasound and Sonogram, finding out we were having a boy. I remember how happy I was and I couldn't wait to tell Wayne. I was walking out to my car when I seen Cecilia. I was surprised to see her. I remember her saying. Did you think you could hide the fact that you are pregnant and with a boy no less. Everything went black and I woke up in a cell, being told that if I want to keep my son, I would do what I was told.
Dianna:
My parents knew you were pregnant with a boy before you left the hospital. Do you think you can remember the people at the hospital that day?
Sophie-Ann:
I'm not sure but could try if you have some way of getting pictures of the staff.
Dianna:
We will have them in a few hours.
Sophie-Ann:
I will try my best to identify the people from that day.
Wayne:
Soph honey, would you like me to continue for you.
Sophie-Ann:
I have to talk about Way. If not I don't think I will ever heal and Jackson and Dianna won't understand my actions.

I had my beautiful baby boy in that damn cell. Lyican and Cecilia came in and took him. I was only allowed to be a wet nurse to my own son. They threatened me with my son's life if I didn't comply with them. As a mother you do whatever you can to save your child. So I agreed to anything. They brought my son in. He was only allowed to be fed. They turned him against us. He was being raised as their son. Hearing him call someone else Mommy. It turned my heart black with hate, hate against them. Once my heart turned dark with hate, a witch came in and cast several spells that made me completely obedient to them. I wasn't myself, I could only follow orders. It was all small at first then it grew into me kidnapping different people under someone else's orders. The orders never came from Lyican or Cecilia. It was always someone new giving the orders. My final order before being captured was to kidnap your son.
Catalina:
Did you create the portal that took Grayson? Do you know where my mate is? TELL US NOW!
Sophie-Ann:
I'm sorry I can't help there. I didn't have anything to do with Grayson's disappearance. I didn't even know he was one of the targets. My job was to get the boy only. I'm so very sorry.
Jackson:
Wayne holds Sophie-Ann as she cries uncontrollably. He tells us they used Sophie-Ann and their son against him. He was drugged by his brother before Sophie-Ann left the house that day. He couldn't tell her that he felt the needle in his as soon as Lyican grabbed him for a hug. He was trying to protect her by staying quiet. He couldn't let her know it was a trap and that he was poisoned.
They took his son and turned his mate into someone else. He was at the school that day trying to find his mate. He had a moment of clarity. He said he recognized me and 3 of my children, he was able to push through the darkness just enough not to fight back when he was captured, hoping we remembered him. We all broke down crying after he said it all.
Queen Justina:
Now we know what happened and how they turn people to the darkness. They use fear, abuse and death of loved ones to make their hostages hate them until the hate consumes them.

Sophie-Ann and Wayne:
No we don't. We are sorry we can't help more.
Dianna:
You have helped more than you realize. If we can identify who was working at the hospital that day. I have a strong feeling that it is the same person who told my parents I was pregnant with our son. Our second son was able to hide crucial details about my pregnancy that you will find out soon. I hope we trust you both now.
Sophie-Ann:
With the darkness gone you can definitely trust us. Wayne left this pack to you because he saw how power hungry his brother and sister in law are. Dianna, Jackson, I promise you will never have to worry about your children. We will protect all of them with our lives.
Jackson:
Dianna, why don't you and mom take Sophie-Ann and do some online shopping. She can get whatever her and Wayne need including furniture and clothes. Don't skip anything. Catalina, you go on to class.
Dianna.:
Who would have thought you would give me permission to do some shopping. Promise me you won't faint, yell or break anything when you get the bill. Ladies let's do some shopping.
Jackson:
D gives me a wink and blows me a kiss as she walks out. I'm in trouble. I say out loud without meaning to. Dad and Wayne burst out laughing.
Wayne:
Jack I needed that laugh more than you know. After living in fear for years and being forced into the darkness was horrible. I'm so glad that you and Dianna brought me and my love out of the nightmare we were living. We knew what we were doing was wrong but we weren't in control of our minds or bodies. We were puppets tied to invisible strings.
Jackson:
I sent the ladies away because I have a feeling there is more to this and you are hiding it from your mate.
Wayne.
Jack you right. There is more.
