We set today aside for hunting and discussing what was going to happen.
"At the beginning of this trip," Daniel started out for all of us, "You said that if anything bad happened we would retreat south. What should we do now?"
"Retreat south," Lawrence spoke up, "It's our only option at this point. We have to or else we'll die."
I chose to speak. "Look to the mountain that we just traveled across. We have lost two of our boys to this constant death and there is nothing that we can do about it other than travel south and hope for the best. I do hope that we can survive this voyage as far as we have put ourselves in, but I sincerely know that we are doomed."

"Don't speak about us like that. Surely we aren't doomed. We won't all die. There has to be a way out of this," Angelo muttered.
"There is," Yuri told us, "Continuing on. We won't all die."
"Yuri, I think it's time to go south," I said to him.
He reluctantly agreed after a while. We may still be doomed, but everything looks up for us now. At least we know where we are going this time.
