L.S.N. - made in the last 200 years, improvements in portal spells and magic items allows a constant connection within a star cluster with little delay. works by connecting a dedicated A.M.I to multiple physical servers across a star system. the A.M.I. is used to processed information and to send it it the multiple servers which each has a small portal to physically connect them to the closest server in the same system. the relatively small size of the portals allow them to be cheap and the lack of the need for perfect stability means that it is much more laxed in repair.

  4. A.M.I. - creatures made with pure mana exist in the immaterial. a Drakkin invention and later improved by human studies of the mind, these are artificial mana creatures who have connections to the material due to a special process that connects a computer to them. since they are not constrained by the limitation of a static form, they make great thinking machines who can split their attention across this galaxy and beyond. they can be programed with a personality or be shaped by the people they interact with. a deal made 200 years ago allowed the private sector to connect to these beings and petition to make new ones.

  5. Training ground - they are a type of gym and range. usually, they are own by local Planetary Council but the ones own by the private sector tend to lean to a dojo like place.

  6. life worlds - worlds that can easily hold human life with little intervention (30)

  7. resource worlds - worlds that hold no value for sustaining life but can be broken down with little effect on other things (1000)

  Magic - the way of manipulating mana. There are 4 methods of magic. the primitive first method, called the imaginative method which has the users manipulate both mana with their will to do specific things. the second method is called word magic that uses specialized movements, calculations, and words in conjunction to unleash spells. The third method is innate magic which is formed on a person’s soul allowing them to use 1 specific effect from the moment it forms. The fourth method is the contract method which is through prayer and deep belief of something always one to use the power of the one being prayed to.

Vegis - A member of a small human clan. sold game items for money until they got their first job after college. after 3 different jobs, has now landed their fourth job as a a glorified janitor/handyman/general laborer and is currently no longer a human on a genetic level and transforming into something that has strong ties to the Maouin religion.

  2. Susan(Retcon) - this is an older A.M.I. whose primary purpose is to Act. she was originally made at home by a rich eccentric man who is now dead and was transferred to the man's company who were allowed to used her before the deal was made.

  3. Mitra - originally a pet of a rich family with government ties, now a transforming into the ancestor of the Drakkin and the apostle of Huitzlios

  4. Boreal - a native plant that was being tested on in the northern site that has transformed into the same species as the makers of the Magi

  History and Myth:

  roughly one million years before present

  The Drakkin traces their origins to a now extinct species name the SunKin. From religious studies and archeological digs, it has shown that the SunKin started as a small group of bipedal reptiles that stumbled upon something called the Blood Lake. This lake was filled with a substance called the Blood of Huitzlios which tranformed them when they lived off the substance over generations. Several poems and records that were found from near that era states that after a certain amount of individuals were born in the "Blood", all of them underwent an evolution and turned into what is now know as the SunKin. For reasons unknow, the lake dried up and the SunKins started to spread across their home world and only finding small pockets of Blood they used in ceremonies for Huitzlios. Since none of the new SunKins were born in a pool of the sacred blood, the powers they had started to fade and eventually, Drakkins were born. time passed and soon the SunKin disappeared.

  The Magi have a better record of their origins and history since they can store memories of plants and mushrooms. The first of the Magi were made as a companion for the first Forest Blood. While they don't have a fully factual record of the Forest Blood, they have a vague idea of what happened to them. the Forest Blooded made the Magi to act as record keepers and were later modified to be resistant to a plague that started to wipeout the Forest Bloods. From what was told to them, their gods just started their long slumber and without oversite, one of them made a disease that would target the forest blood while trying to make a nutrient paste that would help heal injuries.

  roughly five hundred thousand years later

  After the fall of their ancestors, a large crack in space time connected their two worlds together and first contact was made. a series of incidents happened and led to a millennia of war between the two almost caused their extinction. the war stopped when their gods awoke from their years of sleep and saw their believers kicked so low. the two head gods met and forced their flocks to stop the war. the magics used in the war left most of both worlds nearly uninhabitable to them and only after active effort from the gods barely managed to reverse most of the damage. only after a hundred thousand years did the two sides fully came to peace with each other and the gods blocked themselves off from their children to stop them from relying on them.

  A hundred years after the gods cutting themselves off, the two species started to spread across the many planets in their solar system and eventually named this unified group the Maouin system. a small civil war broke out in after they gain access to all worlds and the probes they have wouldn't reach another star for a while. this war lead to the discovery of how to forcibly use the power of their gods and led to direct divine intervention that caused the direct destruction of the largest moon in the system and a warning that the gods would smite them if they tried something like this again.

  three thousand years later

  The first of the probes flew near a far off system that was inhospitable for the of the Maouin races. the planets were gas giants and the moons were too cold for them to live. there was a dense asteroid belt near the star and the systems oort cloud holds several worlds that are just the right size but position too far from the star. the star was an average red dwarf star. the probe had several criminals frozen in stasis on it to see what the effects of staying away from the home system was. over the course of a decade, a small domicile was made for the criminals and they were released from their timeless state. they had proper food, water, air, and regularly exercise. a comment that these prisoners said that stuck with observers was that there was no mana. over the course of a month, they all started to die one by one. each of them screamed before they died as their bodies started to rapidly degrade and rot. the last one to die said that they could feel death comming for they no longer had mana.

  it took a hundred years before they made new probes with a new machine called a mana generator which actively tore a hole into the immaterial and spew mana everywhere. when the probes were relaunched and landed at the same star as before, they landed near the old probes and recycled them to speed through the process. this time, the prisoners didn't die and were told to start a colonization process for the outer ice worlds.

  it was only after four hundred years that one of the mana generators under when a fatal malfunction that caused an explosion to happen and a tear swallowed an entire planet formed and disappeared the many after effects of this accident caused 2 more malfunctions to happen but it caused smaller tears that destroy the buildings around them. these were lasted for a year, allowing the prisoners under instruction to build vessels to go to other colonization areas

  three thousand years before present

  they spot Earth and can tell that there is either intelligent life in that area or strange chemistry since the spectroscopy of earth is not like the other planets in the area. in the years that passed, they figured out a way to go FTL but it has a tendency to cause a large outburst of energy where they are exit. by they planned everything out, a hundred years had passed and they started to pack things to prepare for first contact. when they arrive, inside they system, it was 2389 on Earth. it took twelve years for their large craft to reach earth and were struck with a nuke but it had no effect. seeing that, the world tried to study the craft as it floated in the upper atmosphere doing nothing. unknown to most except for a select few, small drones were released and capturing samples of everything. it was only 20 years later did a rectangular aircraft the size of an Airbus A380 dropped down to the middle of the pacific ocean and started to create a platform. during this, every screen to exist was taken under their control and asked for every world leader and scientist to come to this spot for discussions in exactly one year.

  several countries tried to come sooner but a barrier blocked them from getting onto the platform. a small group of extremist tried to explode the platform and their homes were disintegrated with no one harmed. a month before the destine meeting time, several small crafts were released from the mother ship and dropped in front of the main meeting place of each country. they landed and the missing humans walked out of the crafts. most were swiftly taken by authorities but some managed to escape. these loose ends spread that they were experimented on by these aliens for them to better understand humans
