Chapter 155: THE POWER THAT CALLED A KAIJU

The flames of the kaiju still raged in the distance, drowning the Zoner District in molten green light. Entire blocks were swallowed in an instant.

And then the fire died down.

Smoke rolled across the ruins like a choking storm.

  The ground sizzled.

When the haze cleared, three figures stood, alive.

A colossal wall of earth loomed before them, cracked but standing firm.

Sephiss held his Philo Book open, unfazed, not a trace of fear in his eyes.

Fanok bent over, hands on his knees, gasping for air.

Domain clung to Fanok's shoulder, breathing sharply as blood dripped from her temple.

Fanok sputtered, "What the hell was that?! It, it tried to kill us!"

Domain swallowed hard. "That... was no Abi beast. No Art construct. That was a kaiju..."

Sephiss did not turn toward them. His voice was cold and analytical.

"Kaiju were ancient titans capable of erasing civilizations. They have not walked this world for ages."

He finally closed the Philo Book with a snap.

"For such a creature to appear... someone must have summoned it."

Fanok whispered, dazed, "Sephiss isn't even scared... Gods... seeing him survive that is, hah, kinda making me horny..."

  Domain glared. "Pick me up."

Fanok blinked. "Huh? No way, I'm not carrying—"

"Pick me up," Domain repeated, tone murderous, "or I will slice off your balls."

Fanok immediately knelt and picked her onto his back. "Y-Yes ma'am!"

Sephiss finally turned. "Fanok. Take Domain back to the Royal Territory. I must tend to this issue myself."

Fanok nodded quickly and carried her off.

Sephiss walked straight toward the crater where the kaiju once stood, calm, composed, his steps echoing like judgment.

  THE CHILD WHO STOOD THERE

  Braxill waited alone.

Soot covered his cheeks. Sweat dripped from his forehead. His heart pounded, but his stance was steady.

  Zoners gathered around him, trembling.

"What... what was that creature you summoned?" one asked.

Braxill shook his head. "I didn't summon anything. I imagined it, that was basically me if I was a giant Kaiju, hehehe."

  Gasps. Murmurs. Fear. Awe.

  He pointed toward the road.

"All of you... get as far away as possible. He's coming."

The Zoners understood instantly. Panic broke out, and they fled into the ruins.

  Braxill exhaled shakily.

I didn't use my own Abi. Joy lent me that power.

When the enemy gets here... I won't hold back.

  Braxill thought to himself

Then Again I already waisted, 3000% of my abi creating the Larix and the Kaiju, imagining creatures is one thing but imagining them to have the power to heal others is another

The grumble of the distrct shook from the massive kaiju Graxior

Further away, Avastma walked silently toward the district center. Zoners didn't notice her until she'd already stood beside them.

  Then chaos broke out.

  Villagers scattered like terrified birds.

Gradix heard the commotion and ran out.

She collided directly into Avastma's tummy.

  Gradix froze.

  Avastma's eyes glowed bright orange.

And Gradix's eyes, responded, glowing the exact same shade.

Avastma lowered her head, studying her.

"It is common for women like us to be very possessive, but now that you've looked into the eyes of another you will know all those connected to the sisters Trinity."

Gradix's mouth fell open. "Wh-what...? What does that mean? Who are you?!"

  Avastma smiled softly.

"You have the same eyes as I do."

  Gradix trembled, confused.

Avastma walked past her without another word, drawn toward something deeper.

  THE SECOND ENCOUNTER

Braxill sensed him before he saw him.

Sephiss emerged from the smoke, perfect posture, eyes cold, steps slow and deliberate.

  Braxill tightened his jaw.

Sephiss stopped a few meters away and studied him.

"Hmm. There he is." He tilted his head. "A child."

Braxill pointed at him, voice trembling with anger.

"Are you the one who hurt my friends?"

"Yes," Sephiss answered without hesitation. "Me, and many others. I led this assault."

"You hurt a lot of people... and killed some too."

"Yes," Sephiss said flatly. "That was the point."

Braxill's fists clenched. "Why?! What's the point of being so mean?!"

  Sephiss smirked.

"Because I am an adult. And you are a child. I can do what I want."

  Braxill's aura flickered dangerously.

"No. You can't do whatever you want. Joy says you can't."

  Sephiss "Joy?"

Braxill "Your evil days ends here Mr."

Sephiss laughed loudly, wiping a tear from his eye.

  "And who will stop me?"

  "I will," Braxill said quietly.

Sephiss laughed harder. "Hahahaha, YOU? A threat to me? I swear it's always the little poor boys with the greatests sense of humour!"

  Braxill squared his shoulders.

"But I bet my kaiju sacred you."

"As Braxill's Abi flared, his afro expanded, thickening and lifting with the surge of power."

  Abi 10,356%

  Sephiss stopped laughing.

Spehiss "How does a child have such a high Abi level."

  His face went blank.

  Serious.

Sephiss narrowed his eyes, thoughts turning over carefully.

Could this be the child they spoke of amongst the criminal underworld?

The one who fought in the Battle Stadium... the one who defeated Obalistick, brother to Tabashi Marks, one of the four gang lords.

  He exhaled slowly.

"I asked for the footage," he muttered. "But those damned gang lords ignored me."

"...How did you summon a kaiju? Beasts like that could level cities in minutes."

Braxill took a breath. "Because I have Joy. And with him, I can imagine anything."

  SOMEWHERE NOT TO FAR AWAY

Gravixor lied on the gorund, Abi began to enter into her body.

  Gravixor's eyes opened.

Pain surged through her body. She pushed herself up, trembling.

"Braxill... I have to help Braxill..."

But beside her was a larix, its hands out pushing transfering Abi into her.

She forced herself forward, each step agony, until her knees buckled.

She collapsed, sobbing, Euly's face flashing in her mind.

  A shadow fell over her.

  Her breath stopped.

  She looked up.

  It was Larix.

Larix "Hello there Gravixor, please allow me to finish healing you, this is on master Braxill's request."

  Gravixor choked out, "Braxill...where's he?"

Larix "he's about to fight the old man"

Gravixor choked out, "How much Abi can you give me?"

Larix "Wlel Master Braxill gave us eahc 2000 of his abi, we've given 10% to all injured civilians and we still have a few fundred more injured."

  Gravixor "Give me 300%"

Larix "But that may take away from the injured"

Gravixor "If Braxill dies does it matter, you wont exists." She cracked her neck muscle, preparing herself. "he's my responsibility" She gazed at the Larix "Matter a fact restore all my abi."

  Larix "Yes ma'am."

  THE DECLARATION OF WAR

Braxill and Sephiss now faced one another in the heart of a ruined city.

  Child vs. Elder.

  Joy vs. Philosophy.

  Creation vs. Reality.

Braxill's eyes glowed green, bright enough to shine through the ash.

"I don't care who you are," he said.

"It's time I show you the power of imagination."
