"I am acid"
Each heavy step he took hissed and steamed, pools of acid sizzling beneath him. His grotesque, swollen body pulsed with bubbling sludge, and from his mouth spewed wave after wave of corrosive death.
"Stay sharp!" Releyanda shouted, sprinting across the field as a torrent of acid crashed where she'd just stood. The earth melted into a smoking crater behind her. "One hit and we're done!"
"Got it!" Hidikai yelled back, sliding under a second blast and launching an electro bolt from her palm.
The blast struck Edgar's side with a crackling BOOM, arcs of lightning sizzling across his body.
The giant bacteria roared in anger, swinging his enormous bulk toward them and spitting another acidic jet. They split apart, one left, one right, dodging in perfect sync.
"His size is slowing him down!" Releyanda called, hurling another bolt that scorched his shoulder. "Keep moving, keep your distance!"
Hidikai ducked behind a boulder, charging another shot. "I'm starting to think he's too fat to hit us!"
Edgar roared at the insult, his massive body quivering with rage.
"FAT!? EDGAR NOT FAT! EDGAR KING OF ACID!"
He spat again, a massive, boiling geyser that splattered across the field in smoking puddles.
"Keep him angry," Releyanda shouted, firing another round. "The more furious he is, the sloppier he gets!"
They darted and blasted, weaving in and out of range, peppering Edgar with hit after hit. But though the lightning tore into his flesh, he simply regenerated, bloating larger as he sucked more of the earth into his body, the ground shrinking beneath him.
Strategic Shift
Releyanda slid behind a pile of melted debris, sparks gathering along her cybernetic arm. "Hidikai!" she shouted over the roar of the battle. "I have an idea, but I'll need time!"
"What kind of idea?" Hidikai yelled back, vaulting over a slick of acid.
"I'm going to charge a full-power Raijin," Releyanda said, electricity crackling around her hand. "But to do it, we need him stationary. If he's moving, I'll miss."
Hidikai grinned. "Stationary? He's round, he's not getting far anyway!"

Releyanda cracked a rare smile, but her focus returned quickly. "Buy me a minute. Just one minute!"
"You got it!"
Hidikai charged forward, zigzagging through a hail of acid blasts, each one exploding into hissing steam around her. She slid beneath Edgar's bulk and fired a bolt directly into his jaw. "Over here, slime-ball!"
"EDGAR HATE YOU, EDGAR GO BOOM!" he roared, spewing another glob, this one faster and more focused.
Hidikai dodged again and again, taunting him with precise, rapid fire. "Hes, huge, he almost looks like he's goign to explode, we wont be able to dodge soomething liek that."
Hidikai launches another Electric bolt that tares off Edgars arm.
The Monster Evolves
Edgar screamed in fury, his body quaking as the ground beneath him sank. His mouth widened grotesquely, and then the next wave came, faster than before.
"Uh oh..." Hidikai muttered, eyes widening.
The blast shot through the air like a bullet, too fast to dodge. It slammed into Hidikai's arm with a sickening SIZZLE.
"AAAAAAGHHHHHH!" she screamed as her cybernetic limb melted off in a burst of smoke and molten metal. She fell backward, clutching the smoldering stump, her teeth gritted in agony.
"HIDIKAI!" Releyanda shouted, fury flashing in her eyes. "Time's up."
Raijin Raccoon
Her arm glowed like a miniature sun, electricity swirling and condensing into a dense, screaming sphere of raw Abi power.
"Edgar..." she snarled, locking her gaze on the towering monster. "This is the end!"
"RRRRRRAAAAAGHHHHHH!" Edgar roared, opening his mouth wide to unleash another acid blast.
Releyanda raised her arm, her voice cutting through the battlefield:
"RAIJIN RACCOON!!"
The world turned white.
A colossal beam of searing electricity exploded from her arm, carving a jagged path through the air in the shape of Racoon and slamming into Edgar with unstoppable force.
The blast ripped through his bloated body, vaporizing chunks of flesh as it tunneled straight through him. His roar turned into a gurgling scream as the energy shredded his insides.
"EDGAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR!" he howled.
When the beam finally faded, Edgar's massive frame convulsed violently. Then, with a wet SPLAT, his upper body exploded, showering the battlefield with acidic gore. Only his lower half remained, twitching and bubbling uselessly on the scorched ground.
Releyanda dropped to one knee, steam rising from her arm. "That's... that's what happens when you underestimate us."
The field fell silent for a moment.
Then the Animal soldiers roared, their battle cries echoing over the wasteland as Edgar's monstrous presence vanished from the field.
Hidikai gritted her teeth, clutching her melted cyber arm as soldiers rushed to help her. "Heh... told you he wouldn't get far."
Releyanda allowed herself a small, exhausted smile. "We did it."
But even as the acid hissed and the steam cleared, both women knew, this war wasn't over. Far above them, the roar of Maegan still shook the skies.
