Chapter 131: The War Splits

The battlefield was a furnace of screams and acid.

Edgar lurched forward, his grotesque, swollen form gurgling and sloshing.

Every step sent waves of corrosive death crashing across the ground. Weapons dissolved. Bodies melted. The earth itself hissed and steamed beneath him.

"Move!" Grax roared, grabbing the Monkey King by the arm as a torrent of acid splashed where they had just stood. The two leaders rolled to safety as the ground behind them bubbled and sank into a smoking pit.

"Grax," the Monkey King panted, "it appears the king was not to be underestimated. He knoew we would come. These three... they've come to do his bidding."

Lord Sunscales "I can feel their Abi, it's beyond this world."

Grax's eyes hardened as he surveyed the battlefield, charred craters where warriors once stood, the sky thick with smoke. "There are mass casualties," he said grimly.

  "Any ideas?"

"Yes," Grax growled. "We deal with the big one first. His acid is too troublesome."

As if in answer, Edgar roared and unleashed another massive wave of sizzling death. Dozens of Monkey and Deer soldiers screamed as they melted where they stood, their armor and flesh liquefying into sludge. But then, the monstrous bacteria began to shrink. His massive, round body deflated, leaving a thinner, frailer frame in its place.

"What in the monkey world is this thing?" the Monkey King shouted, eyes wide.

Edgar waddled forward and pressed his lips to the ground. A horrible suction sound echoed as he devoured the earth itself, his belly swelling once more, his shape returning to its original bloated horror.

"Nyte Fang!" Grax bellowed over the chaos.

"Yes!" she shouted, slicing through a parasite that lunged toward her.

"Have your girls take on the big one! Nobody can get close to him, but they're cyborgs, maybe they can strike from range."

"Understood!" Nyte Fang spun on her heel. "Girls!"

"Right!" Releyanda and Hidikai answered in unison, their cybernetic arms glowing to life.

"Kellix, Rufo!" the Monkey King barked. "You two, the parasite woman. Take her down!"

"Got it!" Kellix roared, tightening his grip on his clay cleaver.

ABI STRATING POINT 270, CURRENT LEBEL 250%

"Understood!" Rufo replied, flicking his fishing rod into existence with a crackle of Abi light.

"Father Hart!" the Monkey King turned. "Rally the wounded!"

"Soldiers!" Father Hart bellowed. "Two wagon carts, fill them with the injured and get them back to the village!"

"Understood!" shouted before rushing to carry out the order.

The army split into its parts, each piece moving with deadly purpose.

  Clash in the Skies

The five leaders gathered as one, standing shoulder to shoulder amid the chaos.

"Then it's settled," said Grax. "We'll take the flying one."

Maegan shrieked above them in his monstrous Camazotz form, wings slicing through the air like blades. His sonic roars shook the ground and split the ears of anyone too close.

"Scales, bring him down!" Nyte Fang shouted.

Lord Sunscales hurled the Iguana Spear, its blade whistling as it tore through the air, Maegan twisted, barely dodging, the weapon clipping one wing and sending a spray of sparks into the air.

Lordscales with a look of suprise took cover and shouted "I actually caught him."

Father Hart transformed into his colossal stag form and charged, leaping into the air with impossible force. His antlers slammed into Maegan's chest, knocking the beast off balance.

The Monkey King slammed his pole into the ground, raising a massive wall of stone that Maegan crashed into head-first. The blow stunned him long enough for Grax to leap high and swing his axe, the strike tore through one of the mechanical wings, sending the monster spiraling.

But Maegan was far from beaten. His broken form rippled and reformed, mechanical plates shifting. Circuits screamed and re-aligned.

  "Not done," he hissed.

In seconds, his shape exploded outward, transforming into the towering colossal Rock Titan Nijiron, its jaws roaring with fury.

The leaders steadied themselves as the battlefield shook again.

  Parasite Queen

On the ground, Debora laughed as Kellix and Rufo approached.

"Oh? Two little heroes against me?" she cooed. "I'll make it fun."

She slammed both hands into the ground. It split open, pulsing pink, and from it, hundreds of parasite spawn erupted, screeching and crawling toward the Animal Tribes.

"Tch..." Kellix's jaw tightened. "Then I'll just smash them too."

He slammed his palms into the earth. Clay surged upward, swirling into a colossal clay warriors, towering over the battlefield. With a roar, they charged, their blades slicing through the wave of parasites, splitting them apart in sweeping, earth-shaking blows.

  KELLIX ABI: 245%

The Clay Clones shifted the tide of the battle as they smashed through the parasites. Relief rippled through the animal soldiers as Kellix's power became undeniable. Even the trio of contenders had no choice but to acknowledge Kellix's strength.

Debora hissed and lashed out, her arms morphing into dozens of tentacles.

But the clay warriors met them head-on, cleaving through each tendril as Kellix commanded them with precision and rage.

Rufo swung his fishing rod, casting it into a glowing Abi portal.

  RUFO'S ABI 400%

The line snapped taut, and from it, a swarm of razor-toothed piranhas surged forth, biting and tearing into Debora's limbs.

  RUFO ABI: 375%

"AAHHH!" she screamed, slamming them off. Her body rippled, sharp, spear-like bones burst outward from her flesh, skewering and scattering the piranhas mid-air.

"You'll have to do better than that!" she hissed, launching herself at them with terrifying speed.

Parasites swarmed the the surface of Deer Point.

The parasites Debora had spawned surged across the field, until they met Grinex and Lionice.

"Come on!" Grinex roared, swinging his massive axe in wide, brutal arcs.

Parasites exploded into chunks around him, their limbs and heads sent flying as he tore a path through the swarm.

Overhead, Gibbons roared to life. Lionice unleashed a storm of Abi-powered artillery, shells screaming from the mecha's cannons and detonating in brilliant flashes. Parasites vaporized by the dozens, their bodies burning away under the relentless assault.

"I'll Keep firing!" Lionice shouted. "I wont let them regroup!"

The battlefield had become a living storm. Acid, bone, clay, steel, and fury collided in a chaotic symphony of war. Each faction now fought their own deadly battle, none knowing who would live to see the end of it.

And somewhere high above it all, Maegan's mechanical roar split the sky once more.
