  It ends up taking me half an hour to figure out where the hell I am.

  Mostly because people keep running away at the sight of me. Which is annoying as hell.

  The first three groups of people I find to ask where I am run the hell away the moment they see me. And the fourth group I find straight up faints at the sight of me.

  It’s starting to make me feel kind of sad.

  Normally I’m apathetic about others, but even I feel a little saddened when people keep running or fainting at the sight of me.

  Thankfully, the fifth group I find actually answers my questions. Leading to me realizing exactly what Dimensional Block I’m in.

  They also give me directions to Dimensional Block #108 at the same time.

  So I finally begin making my way back home.

  And no one bothers me throughout my entire journey home. Especially considering how many people keep fleeing at the sight of me.

  Even when I’m not approaching them.

  I let out a sigh at that. But it’s fine at the end of the day.

  It’s not like I have any reason to care about them after all.

  The trip home doesn’t take very long. So I rather quickly arrive at my little clearing, where I set up my portable home and lie down in the bed there. Just taking a moment to think.

  I’ve already dealt with most of the annoying requirements to Ascend. Leaving just the skill related requirements and the killing an Ascendant Tier being requirement left.

  Which means I just need to raise Energy Manipulation to Tier 5, and raise Quantum Displacement to Ascendant Tier. Then I can finally go back into the Dimensional Dungeon after gathering a bunch of items before fighting the boss there that’s just been wandering around for who knows how long.

  As for the items themselves?

  I’ll just ask Astrid to gather a bunch of items while I go around in dungeons for more.

  Unfortunately, even with an Ascendant Tier skill, I don’t think I will be able to fight an Ascendant Tier boss monster of a dungeon on my own.

  It’s just too powerful.

  The bright side is that I shouldn’t have to worry about anyone bothering me during this time, considering how afraid everyone seems to be of me.

  I am a little worried about how long this is going to take.

  Even with me focusing on leveling up the skills, it will probably take me years to get them to the Tiers I need them at.

  After all, it gets harder and harder to level up skills as they go on. And reaching Ascendant Tier for a skill alone is far harder. Just reaching level fifty is around the same amount of difficulty as it takes to get from level forty-one to level forty-nine.

  Which kind of makes sense, considering that skills stop leveling once they reach Ascendant Tier.

  They just don’t level anymore.

  So this requirement literally requires me to max out a skill.

  And as if that wasn’t bad enough, Zal said the System has changed for Ascendant Tier skills after the Reset. Making it so that I need to spend Authority Shards.

  Ten of them to be specific.

  Although that isn’t much of a problem for me since I already have nine of them. Seeing as I can’t actually use more than the maximum number of them. Which makes the rest of them completely useless to me.

  Especially since Astrid has already used all the Authority Shards she can as well.

  At least I have a use for them now…

  That doesn’t change the fact that I’m going to have to go out and find another shard to raise the skill the Ascendant Tier.

  But it’s worth it in the end. Seeing as Ascendant Tier skills are far stronger than Tier 5 skills.

  Multiple times stronger in fact.

  To the point that a single Ascendant Tier skill is at least three times as powerful as a Tier 5 skill.

  And considering that it’s Quantum Displacement that I’ll be bringing to Ascendant Tier? A teleportation skill?

  It will be interesting to see just what boosts the skill will be receiving at Ascendant Tier.

  That said, I also feel a little nostalgic about Quantum Displacement reaching Ascendant Tier before anything else. Since it was one of the first skills I really used a lot. Other than Quantum Bolt.

  I narrow my eyes slightly as I try to remember what order I got the skills. Then I smile as it comes back to me.

  Quantum Displacement was my third quantum skill, and my second active skill.

  It’s the skill I got at level ten and a skill that has helped me a lot over the years.

  And now it’ll be the first to reach Ascendant Tier.

  I still remember the times I was just going through that first dungeon that the System Reset sent me into, where I used Quantum Displacement to survive.

  Like when I was passing over that piranha river in the cave dungeon.

  There were a lot of good times with this skill.

  I continue smiling at the ceiling as I think about it for a little while before eventually falling asleep. Then, when I wake up again the next morning, I make arrangements for Astrid to gather items for me before I immediately proceed to training my skills.

  First up is Energy Manipulation. Since it won’t take anywhere near as long to train as Quantum Displacement is going to take.

  Then I can focus on training Quantum Displacement after I reach Tier 5 in Energy Manipulation. Fulfilling that requirement in the process.

  I take a deep breath before sitting down cross-legged on the floor and beginning another training session. With Zal appearing from time to time to help me out with some tips.

  This is going to take a while regardless though.

  So I’m going to be sitting here for years at the very least.

  Then I’ll be teleporting all over the place.

  I let out a sigh at the thought of how boring these next years are going to be.

  Because they will be very boring.
