Somewhere within the Tier 5 dungeon in Artorius’ Dimensional Block

  Artorius lets out a loud roar as black flames spread through the dungeon all around him. Just burning everything in sight to ashes. But when he senses a massive power approaching him, he quickly turns into hellfire and begins flying through the air far away from the Ascendant Monster.

  Beating as hasty a retreat as he possibly can without notifying it of his presence.

  Then he returns to slaughtering monsters in the dungeon. Gradually raising his level in the process.

  Artorius doesn’t hesitate as he fights. Slaughtering every single monster he finds without taking any breaks.

  Even when he completely runs out of mana, he continues slaying monsters with his physical strength. Growing his level bit by bit.

  Eventually he pauses when a message comes through a special device that can receive messages even inside of dungeons. One talking about the return of the Quantum Reaper to the Dimensional Blocks.

  Making Artorius feel a smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

  Because it means it’s almost time.

  All he needs to do now is to finish reaching the peak of Tier 5. Then he can begin clearing his requirements before attacking the Quantum Reaper at the same time.

  He would just go now to fight her, but that isn’t possible.

  It is not possible for him to leave the dungeon until someone clears it. Unlike the Dimension Dungeon the Quantum Reaper controls.

  So he continues to fight in the dungeon for as long as he can. Leveling up all the way until he finally reaches the peak of Tier 5 at last.

  At which point he finds his requirements finally appearing before him.

  Requirements that are far more difficult than he would’ve preferred.

  Despite that, he doesn’t feel much about them. Because he doesn’t care much about reaching Ascendant Tier.

  What he cares about the most is feeling pain.

  And that’s all.

  It’s the only thing he’s ever wished for in his life, and the only thing he will ever wish for.

  But even then he still struggles to fight against the boss of the Tier 5 dungeon. Badly enough that he has to flee numerous times.

  Over and over again.

  Just slowly trying to whittle down the boss until he can eventually finish it off.

  Even if it takes ages.

  All so he can finally leave the dungeon and go after the one to hopefully grant him pain.

  All Across the Dimensional Block Grid

  Every leader across the Dimensional Blocks soon receives word about the return of the Quantum Reaper after her long time spent in the corrupted universe. And each and every one immediately begins preparing gifts for her. All to get on her good side.

  Especially when word about her reaching the level cap of Tier 5 reaches them.

  Thanks to it, terror spreads to every corner of the Dimensional Grid. Making criminals go into hiding while anyone who believes they may have become a target for the universe begins to flee the Dimensional Grid entirely.

  All to escape from the Quantum Reaper’s reign.

  Despite the lack of any signs that she may be going after anyone as she stays in The Retreat .

  But they’re not the only ones who begin showing signs of change upon her arrival as the corruption attacking the Dimensional Grid starts to increase the pace of their attack. With the corrupted creatures rapidly growing in power and number.

  Meanwhile the corruption in the corrupted universe outside of the Dimensional Grid grows unnaturally calm.

  Almost like the calm before the storm.

  Which makes the Quantum Ruler narrow his eyes from the Quantum Realm, following which he announces the first Summit of the Quantum Realm in thousands of years.

  One that will begin in one month’s time.

  But despite all of this, the Quantum Reaper herself just continues relaxing at her sister’s home without a care in the world. Simply waiting for the archfiend to leave the dungeon at the peak of Tier 5.

  And hoping that he doesn’t reach Ascendant Tier before leaving the dungeon.

  Which could theoretically be possible if he doesn’t receive any combat related requirements, but is incredibly unlikely.

  Or she relaxes until her sister sells her out to the thousands of representatives heading to The Retreat in order to meet her.
