Alexia
The first trial continues for a while without any real changes to its flow with the exception of the type of corruption he goes out to deal with. Since sometimes he takes care of a small group of corruption while other times he takes care of a large amount.
Then there are even times he takes care of multiple Corruptors at once.
The amount always varied. Although it’s never as many as the second trial from the other Quantum Beings have dealt with. And the Corruptors in question are always weaker.
So after the first trial ends, I see us both appearing within the second trial high above a massive army of corrupted creatures. Making me curious about how things will be different here.
Only to find that they aren’t different here from the first trial’s cleansing.
And cleansing really is the best way to phrase it. Since he straight up just sends out another pulse, erasing the corrupted creatures the moment they touch it. All without pulling out any sort of weapon.
I watch with my eyes narrowed as he just moves around the battlefield while playing a mobile game on some mobile device, sending one pulse out after another. Until a Corruptor arrives. One a lot stronger than the other Corruptors I’ve seen him fight.
Strong enough that it manages to tank his little pulse. And it ends up destroying his mobile device when it attacks back.
Pissing him the hell off.
The man straight up begins to glow after that before moving in front of the Corruptor in the blink of an eye, showing incredible speed in the process. Then he grabs the Corruptor by the face and begins cleansing it through direct contact. As if his very skin is corrosive to the creature.
And after holding it for several seconds, the thing finally fades to nothing.
Huh… that was the fastest battle I’ve ever seen against one of these powerful Corruptors. It’s also rather disturbing.
The other Quantum Beings took some effort to deal with their Corruptors. But the Quantum Cleaner literally just grabbed it by the face and erased it.
To my surprise though, the second trial doesn’t end there. Nope. Instead more Corruptors begin to appear one after another.
I watch with my eyes narrowed as the man seems to struggle against these other Corruptors. Relying on his pulses along with the light emitted by his hands and eyes to attack them.

But the only thing that seems capable of directly annihilating them is his touch.
And they’re avoiding the hell out of his touch.
So it pretty much turns into a game of tag as he chases them, they flee and attack him in return, and he dodges the attacks.
Over and over again.
At least this explains why the Quantum Vanguard exists still despite the Cleaner’s ease in which he cleanses the corruption.
The Cleaner is great at one on one combat. Not against multiple foes at once.
Since he needs to be up close and personal, touching the target to deal the most damage to it.
Also, his attacks appear to largely be light based attacks. Which is not something I’ve really seen amongst the Quantum Beings yet.
Of course, he eventually manages to wipe out all of the Corruptors, but not without a struggle. And he does end up injured throughout it. More than once in fact.
That said, I find myself feeling slightly irritated after watching him fight. Because it doesn’t really give me much on what to expect of him.
After all, every attack he’s used has been one targeting corrupted creatures.
The second trial finally comes to a close and I find myself entering the third trial, just to find the guy staring rather coldly at me. Making me wonder if he thinks of me in the same way as he thought of those corrupted creatures that interrupted his game time.
And in an instant, I find him appearing in front of me in a glitched sprint. Moving so fast with the only indication of his movement being the glitchy blur I see rush at me.
All before his fist slams into my gut, sending me flying backwards until I cut off the flight by teleporting without keeping the momentum.
Ouch.
He doesn’t just stop there though as mere seconds after I stop my flight, I find him in front of me again swinging his fist to my face. Once again sending me flying backwards.
Then again, except punching my side. And again, punching my back.
And again, punching my collarbone.
He just moves so fast it’s hard to keep up with him.
Although his actual attacks aren’t very devastating. In fact, at most they may bend a bone or fracture it.
A single punch isn’t even enough to break one of my bones through my armor.
That doesn’t change the fact that he’s turning me into a punching bag as he successfully lands one punch after another. Even when I try to teleport away or teleport behind him, he always moves too fast for me to react, slamming his fist into me before I know it.
Over and over again, with me occasionally reverting the damage.
But I think I’m gradually starting to get the hang of tracking his speed. Just like how I got used to telling when the Quantum Scribe was about to alter his position in reality.
I repeatedly try to attack him as he does this, but every attempt turns into a failure. Whether that’s through calling lightning down onto myself and hoping he’ll hit me and take the lightning to the face, only for him to avoid hitting me until the lightning has run its course. Or through me trying to hit him with my scythe, which he straight up catches with his bare hands and moves to the side using its own momentum to do it.
Leading our battle into a bit of a stalemate with me being unable to even hit him with his speed and him not being able to deal serious damage to me.
That is, until he suddenly coats his fist with a massive amount of quantum energy and sends it flying straight at my chest in a mere blink of the eye.
Punching a hole straight to my heart before crushing my heart in his hand.
Sending me back to the first trial again with my mouth agape.
He’s so different when fighting me compared to the corrupted beings…
What’s even the point of the second trial this time if he’s like this?
That’s just annoying.
