Devils Son walked back into the secret bar and sat at his table and slipped a glass of wine from the pockets of a passing man who had clearly had enough wine already. He needed this. He had just turned down the opportunity to destroy someone his clan had been fighting ever since she left. But he didn’t. When he looked at her, he didn’t see someone he wanted to destroy, he saw someone of unsurpassed beauty. When their eyes met, he felt like he had never felt before. He felt like he was free from all the worry and pressure that had been chasing him.
He shook and looked at the wine in his hand “Oh” he said realizing what it was. “Of course, it's so clear now it was…the wine” He dumped out the glass in his hand, got up and walked away.
But even though he kept trying to tell himself “It was the wine, that’s all it was. Just the wine” He knew deep down that wasn’t really what it was. He kept feeling as though it was something more than that, but he just pushed it aside. “What else could it be?” he said to himself “Yeah, what else could it be?” He kept repeating this over and over, even though he already knew what it was. But if the others in the clan found out what it was, he would be cast out. Made an enemy of the Thief Clan. Which would give him nowhere else to hide and no one to run to. Even a man as feared and powerful as him, a man who could defeat armies with nothing, but magic wouldn’t be able to run from the whole world. But what would he do if he really was-No it’s impossible, he couldn’t- but could? - was he? - really in love with his greatest enemy? What would the rest of the Clan think of this? He knew that they were not a forgiving people, and he knew that they would make no exception for him. The first thing he had to do was find her. Maybe she felt the same way. NO! He shouted and pounded his fist on the table. Others were looking at him, but he didn’t care. I must follow through with this I have been tracking her, fighting her, haunting her my whole life. I can't turn back now.

He got up and walked out of the bar leaving his things on the table. He wouldn’t need them, but unbeknownst to him- along with leaving his belongings behind he also left his hatred for Angel’s Daughter there. A hatred that he would never find again.
