Chapter 25: Prelim

  Chapter 25: Prelim

The examination seemingly had been over, the tremendous flowing strength from the medieval knight was enshrouded within my inner. The next thing was to find a way to get out of this dark realm and once again put an end before the five gods return. Frantically, I spent almost fifteen minutes glaring at the grave I created for the medieval knight. It was the first time I engraved someone, I didn’t know if I had been doing this before but I guessed the answer was probably nope.

Henceforth, the crucial volition of the next upcoming events seem to open many other side prefectures. If fortunate, I would like to ally with Jastine, but that was just an idea if everything went well. Besides, what if all of this was all for turning into ashes when facing Jastine again? I guessed I would have to do everything I could.

  “Hmm, first thing first.”

I was looking for the examiner, I guessed the distance had expanded due to our confrontation being pushed to the threshold, in which we dashed and exchanged attacks and because of that, it had put me very far from the original position where and the time that dude popped in. Therefore, leaving tumultuous drops of water because of my quickening running steps was all sound that could be heard.

  I finally saw them.

???: “Is it finished?” The guy asked me.

“Yeah, it’s all done. I won.”

???: “That’s nice. Then all of that guy’s abilities should have been yours now.”

  “Yeah.”

The dialogue closed as we then looked at each other and vividly already knew the next chronicles. However, the Korean girl interjected into the conversation,

???: “Wait, there’s something I want you to know.”

After purification, she seemed to be more friendly and more approachable since the tone of a serious examiner has gone. Still, her way of talking seemed to be the same.

???: “Because I’ve been freed from the domain’s control. I could go side by side with you, if you wish to have a companion. Also, I was selfish for a very long time that I would have a day to see the outer world again. I hope you consider this and sympathize with me.”

I understood her desire to once again explore the world again after being kept in a dark place resembling a void like this. The answer was obvious to me but I wondered if she could ponder what was going to happen next, because the next chronicle was about a deadly battle between I and Jastine.

“Sure, but I’ll have a deadly battle instantaneously after I get rebuilt again because of my reversing time ability. I was worrying for your well-being, if you could ponder that then it’s good to go.”

???: “Rebuild? Don’t say that you were dead and your death was that horrible and grotesque?”

  “...”

  “...”

I was exchanging gazes with her. Seemingly, I and her at that time had something on our mind after I told her that I had settled my reversing time ability upon myself.

The author's narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

???: “Wait, I wondered about the part you said that the next presence of a slumber person would be brought here. Was it about their mind or…the body would be brought here as well?”

I interrupted because I wanted to know their name.

“What’s your name? I forgot to ask.”

Ganz: “Oh, my name is Ganz, your hell friend.”

It was confirmed that I had done something in order to befriend this guy whom has such a broken authority. And the context and setting…were all in that realm, hell I had gone to.

  “And you?”

Luisana: “My name is Luisana, I also forgot to tell my name. It could be the domain didn’t let me introduce myself.”

  “Yeah, I could understand why.”

The domain had this type of old mechanism that it wouldn’t let anyone conspire their name to the exam takers, It could be that it was in an imperial way from the novels and books I read in my old world.

Luisana: “If you stand here so loud and all. It meant that you had triumphed?”

  “Yeah”

The Korean tilted her head to the side and looked the other way. Her arm moved, she concealed her mouth. With this type of expression she gave, I didn’t know what her motive was. I think she was doing this for her personal reasons or whatever it is.

Lusiana: “The realm submerged me into itself, I’ve been submerged for so long that it was no longer for me to remember the time, the year I got in. I couldn’t even succeed in any examinations, my mind was exposing itself to this realm and finally turned me into its pupil. So long and long, I assumed that the domain had chosen me to be its sloth portal’s examiner. I don’t know the reasons.”

“I think it would probably depend on your aurora and your characteristics.”

Luisana: “Hmm, before I came into this place. I was a very energetic and talkative person. It was when I started to get sick. So on, I had been laying on the bed, and I guessed the negative energy and emotions started to blend into my mind. The exhaustion could be the main reason those negative energy and emotions started to develop and foster. Ultimately, the visual there could be because of my existence full of negativity, tiredness and weak will had me become its examiner for the sloth portal.”

Giving a full idea of why she was chosen was kinda reasonable and vague at the same time. Her visual and perspective of this time was one part of the whole explanation, because other people may have another perspective and philosophy to this. However, letting that aside, I need to know if she could get out of this place and was it the mind of the person or the person’s existence brought into here?

Ganz: “Can you answer my questions please?”

Luisana: “Oh, oh, I forgot. Alright, slumbering is the first condition to get into this place. And, that person has to be in a near-to-death state is the second condition to get into this place. After fulfilling two initial conditions, the third condition is divided into two.”

Paused and nodded, she kept on explaining.

“First branch of the third condition, the person’s body will teleport into this realm. the person whom is in near-to-death state will have a chance to live again if they could win the examination or like my case, they’ll get succumbed by this domain. This first branch of the third condition is the most common. However, getting into this realm would have several things that this realm considered, so to let you in. Second branch of the third condition, unique and very special, none has ever recorded to be qualified by the second branch. It’s about a person has to be fully dead and wish to return, however, that person cannot be revived, which many people have lost and accepted their defeat. To get out of this trifling matter, the people have to have an ability that could revive themselves after death.”

So that’s how it works and that. I was in the second case of the third condition. Due to my reversing time ability, I’ll get revived. I had never been thankful for my time reversal that much, I was so fortunate. If I didn’t have this ability, I could have looked for other ways to fight Jastine without getting burnt to death. Of course, the chance of winning against him would decrease tremendously. I know that.

Luisana: “Forgot to mention, if the person in the domain got rescued and purified from another person then the person who got purified could go side by side with the person whom helped the person. Which means that my body, my presence, will go along with you Ganz.”

Ganz: “The book I was concealing myself was not considered something holy. Thus, it’s good to go with me. But you’re supposed to help Kinter afterwards, I intended to not let anyone go along with me because my existence is a loner itself, also, the effect from my ability will eventually seal abilities if staying too long with me.”

Luisana: “It’s hurtful to know that. I guess I’ll go with Kinter.”

Ganz: “My pleasure to have you acknowledge my issue.”

  Luisana: “...”

Silence once again was pouring out. Twenty nine minutes had passed, the last minute was when everything was reconstructed.

“I guess I’ll take the book and…I think you’ll embrace me to get out, I assume?”

I think it's common sense to grasp on the person about to get out.

  Luisana: “That’s right.”

Ganz: “I guess I’ll hop into the book.”

Shiny yellow flakes started to leave Ganz’s body, all of those flakes were traveling to the four hundred pages book in my hand. The pages were flipping nonstop and made fluttering sounds then stopped. Ganz had gotten into the book. Luisana embraced my arm, the book was in my hand. Everything had settled.

A trail of light shone down where we stood, its exposure commenced to increase, to the point that our eyes were flashed.
