Chapter 29: Intrusive Thoughts of a Freak
We had departed on our journey to find a nearby city apart from the city where I appeared initially. Jastine suggested this, but I didn’t know what he was on about. Because…isn’t there an individual in the group that has the omnipotent ability to observe the person?
“One of the five gods has the ability to look omnipotently by implanting his gaze on the target he wants to look for. By knowing their name and appearance, the person would be watched.”
“How? Will he watch me from the back or front?”
“The angle is dependent on which he likes.”
“So if he knew my name and appearance, he would be able to watch me henceforth?”
“That’s probably how it is.”
“How did you know that? Did you meet them before and use me as the tool to fight them perchance?”
“In the old world, yes. But the person whom fought wasn’t me.”
“Oh I got it, I got it.”
Conversing with myself or to be more specific, conversing with the figure, I found out that one of the five gods acquired an ability that could patrol the person he wants to put his gaze on. And to escape from that, the ‘me’ at that time didn’t know how to deal with that omnipotent ability. Jastine suggested I go to another nearby city, and the city mentioned was very far from my expectation. Albeit my stamina wasn’t trivial but the laziness kicked in that I was having a hard face throughout the journey. Wanting to find out what his purpose was, I asked him directly.
“Why are we doing this, Jastine?”
Jastine startled from the sudden query, he was focusing on the way. More importantly, he was the only person in the group to know the way leading to another city, and of course, he was the leader as mentioned. However, he didn’t tell me about what his idea was so I grasped his shoulder and halted him whilst focusing on leading the right path.
Jastine: “Don’t worry, I have an idea so that you won’t get caught by the god’s omnipotent ability.”
“So what is it then?”
Jastine: “First, we need to get to the destination.”
Walking all the way to the city with slow steps would be bothersome to my well-being, hence, I asked him the coordinate of that city so I could use teleportation for quickness.
“Do you know the city’s coordinate by any chance?”
Jastine: “Coordinate? What’s that for?”
“A condition in order for my teleportation to activate.”
Jastine: “Unfortunately, I don’t have anything like that. How did you activate your ability earlier without knowing the exact coordinate of the destination you want to teleport?”
“It was I depended on the image I perceived. What I mean is that I could teleport to where I want to as long as it’s within my field of vision. I have a 360 degree ocular field of vision but…”
Jastine: “I know what you mean. You can’t teleport there because the image of the place isn’t in your field of vision.”
“Yeah, and the rear of that ultimate end would just teleport me there but not exceeding further than that.”
Luisana: “Hmm, that’s the reason why you need a specific coordinate? Because your ability has the feature for if you know the coordination, you would immediately teleport there?”
“Yeah, that was one of the ways my ability works.”
Out of nowhere, there appeared brownish dirt on Jastine’s right palm, he gradually turned them into an object that has a rectangular figure. The object turned into a map with the way leading to the nearby city embroidered on the front surface of the paper.
“Is this the map you store in your head?”
Jastine: “Yeah, that’s the map of the way leading to the nearby city.”
“The city’s name is Wopest. I don’t know the name’s meaning.”
The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
Jastine: “There’s no need for a city to be named, meaning anything specific in this world.”
“...ok.”
Still, there was no coordinate for me to get there earlier. I had to keep on walking to the destination but Jastine’s idea was so vague that I didn’t know if I should trust him. I could’ve just run all the way to the city, but I thought to be safer, I should keep on track with Jastine because I want to expand the walking time.
Thus I could ask him queries.
“Jastine, just tell me what you want to do.”
Jastine: “out of patience already?”
“YEAH! Just tell me how you would help me out of this.”
From the position of being suspicious changed to the position I was suspicious of his actions. That’s what the circumstance was. Jastine flicked his ring and index finger together as it was like a mesmerizing action, then he clicked my heart with his index finger. The index finger pushed and pressed my right chess; a crimson radical mark with unknown characters in a circular with a line of unknown characters intersected vertically to the circle appeared abiding to the press. After, the crimson red mark disappeared and he told me,
Jastine: “Hey girl, do you see Kinter?”
I didn’t know what he did to me, seemingly, everything was casual as I was looking for what was the context of his course of actions. However, Luisana answered.
Luisana: “Where is he? Hello! Are you there? Kinter! Where have you gone?”
Luisana shouted loudly as it was reviewing the remark inside me, I shouted back in return, answering to Luisana’s remarks as well.
“I’m here! Luisana! I’m here.”
Luisana: “Where are you Kinter!? Answer me to let me know you’re here!”
“Huh?”
What did this mean? Why didn’t my voice reach her? Jastine must’ve done something to me. And, it was true that he did something to me.
Jastine: “I’ve erased Kinter’s appearance from everyone’s mind. We cannot remember what he looks like nor can we converse with him.”
“!”
I’ve been erased due to his ability, I was like an invisible person to both of them at that time. Neither my voice reached them nor my appearance was remembered, I’ve become a lone self without anyone realizing. Only Jastine realized the remark owing to he was the one whom launched his spell.
Jastine: “Let us know that you’re here by doing something!”
The dimension shook as I was navigating yellow atoms pouring into a specific coordination, a rectangular object slowly formed into reality. The wooden board was carved with words: “I’m here! Jastine’s ability is amazing! Can you explain how this would help provoke the five gods please!”.
Jastine: “Great! We shall move on now, should you follow us or you’ll get lost, Kinter.”
The wooden board was carved with different words to respond Jastine’s precaution.
“Yeah, I’ll follow so don’t worry.”
Luisana: “Ok…but I’m frightened that without conversing we won’t be able to acknowledge each other's actions.”
Jastine: “Kinter could carve words to the wooden board floating over there, so we can read what he wants.”
Not talking to them directly might be harsh and bothersome. However, I might trust what Jastine doing was for my good.
Jastine: “This will erase Kinter’s appearance from everyone’s mind including the five gods. They’ll sense something wrong but that would likely happen late.”
Luisana: “What if they’re watching us right now?”
Jastine: “So? Kinter’s appearance would still be concealed and disappear from their mind. And, aren’t we going to help Kinter if they want to fight?”
Luisana: “Yeah, I would like to help him.”
No more words exchanged, we continued on our journey to the nearby city. It only took 2 hours to reach there according to Jastine.
***
Half way to the nearby city, I saw some wanderers with the white cloak and overall white outfit walking by. These wanderers were looking quite vigor in my opinion, they also gave a mysterious sensation that these people concealed tremendous strength within them. Looking at them without getting noticed, it seemed like Jastine’s spell was effective since there was no one realizing the effect casting upon my existence. Or these people seem to not care, aren’t people in this world like that?
My head tilted back to the front, I was marching behind Luisana and Jastine. They were talking to each other. Luisana was asking what has changed in centuries because she had lived in that domain for centuries without updating knowledge.
Jastine: “The whole world hasn’t changed that much. It’s just people from that world who continuously transport here more and more.”
Luisana: “Is that so? I didn’t even have a chance to take a look at that city but I think there must be something evolving or not, then it’s boring.”
Jastine: “Unfortunately, there are no surprising changes in centuries.”
They were conversing about this world. This world seemed to be different from the world in light novel’s isekai genre, the world in most novels I know usually evolves nonstop. However, this world didn’t change that much to be considered a big change except the people from another world keep flooding into this world.
Then, I asked him. The wooden board was carved with words forming a question: “People in this world are different types of people coming from different worlds, right?”. The wooden board floated in front Jastine, Jastine took notice and immediately answered.
Jastine: “That’s right Kinter, people come from different worlds but to be more specific, they’re the people coming from different universes.”
They came from different universes? This world surely was the type to preserve people from multiverses.
Then, we kept walking to the destination. It seemed everything was in peace on the journey from the previous city to Wopest. However, an unusual event happened. A person with black curly hair was scratching his hair aggressively, he wore the same outfit similar to Jastine. The person wore a white greca-style overcoat and a white cloak with hoodie covering his head. In the middle of the chest, there lay a black crystal in rhombus shape.
??: “Ah! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck it! What the fuck are you, bitch ass, ah.”
He spoke out crazy words with each emphasizing, it was like he was assaulting someone who wasn’t even here, flushing out his frustration toward the air.
??: “Oh my fucking god! Ah ah so good. What is actually happening to me? Hahaha, ummm, I don’t want to say that but the bitch makes me feel so satisfied!”
In what actual context made one to spraying out those cursing words? Was his mind containing such contaminating contents in it? I guessed that was what happened to this rapist or pedophile.
??: “Ah ah, no! You can read my mind? A stupid person like you?. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Fuck! It must all of you! My bitches, ah…hahaha.”
Keep spitting out those cursing words nonstop, it seemed like this guy had no limit nor embarrassment toward what he said that he wasn’t frightened of what could happen to his environs, even himself.
??: “Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Then what are you!? Hehehehe, I’m c**ming! No I’m…i’m…not! Those shitty shits kept pulling me! FUCK!”
A person out of social norms, a person whom wasn’t alike to any specific type of person in my previous world. This person was like a representation of intrusive thoughts when one couldn’t control and fight them thus starting to act based on the intrusive thoughts telling them to be. Regardless of humiliation imposed on them, they act and say what they want but dangerously it doesn’t affect anyone to be specific and interact with anyone physically.
??: “You think I’m strange? a, a FUCKING RAPIST? no,...suppressed! Yeah! Ahhhhhhhhhh....so what you cunts…CUNTS! Acting like YOU’RE FUCKING DESERVED TO LIVE!”
Still, spitting out those unforgivable words, everyone around him seemed to not care what he said. What a quiet world this is. According to the reminiscence in my previous world, if one does this type of stuff then one shall be arrested and punished mercilessly.
Despite all of his futile and repugnant speeches, What was unexpected was that this guy was a supplement factor in the battle with five gods.
