  Anibeli's POV

When she heard Nezekiri ask if she wanted a final challenge, she was exited. When the terms were revealed, she was even more excited.

Nezekiri moved slowly most days. The only time she sped up was in spars, and she still moved slow. The fact she always won the spars, even while being slower then herself... Well, she was extremely skilled.

She had grown accustomed to the odd, mechanical necron. Comfortable, even friendly. But she wanted to see her. To watch her fight, if only for fun.

So, she agreed to the spars. 3 seconds, how hard could it be? When next she spoke, Nezekiri's demeanor changed. She became... less. Somehow, just less. But also, much much more... terrible.

  "Then... Die."

Before I could react, Nezekiri's claws were in her chest. They penetrated bone, and she fought. The battle was short, brutal, and horrible.

Her arm was ruined, and her jaw... She was a fraction of a second away from death, she knew. But when all was lost, as she looked into the cold eye of her... her friend...

She collapsed backwards. She was in agony, but she could feel Nezekiri stroke her back with those claws that had so shortly ago almost ran her through. The she heard her speak.

"You have won. I declare you, my apprentice. With this, my dear, you hold one favor owed. Name your will, Anibeli Berekel. Name it, and it will be so." She said.

She had won? What was... Apprentice? Was that why...

Her mind was going fuzy from pain and minor blood loss. She slured her words. "Friend..." She wanted her friend... to stay with her... Nezekiri had saved her, taught her, and now... "Want... friend..."

She heard a reply, but she was fading. She felt herself being picked up, and the air being blown past her as... she was moving?

  She blacked out mid journey.

  Still Anibeli's POV

She awoke with a start. She gasped, feeling the rumble of... of... She looked around. She was in the medical bay. She had been here a few times over they years as a child, well, smaller child. She was...

A throat cleared beside her, and she jumped. She instinctively reached for her stone knife, and turned. She saw... saw...

  "G-grandpa?" She asked, hesitantly.
