My research is complete. I have the feeling that it is severely lacking, but it gave me the general information I needed, so it will do.

  I spent my time in transit passed quietly, as I formulated tactics to the enemies I had read about. When we emerged from warp, we had to gather our fleet and begin to move to the manufactorum world and its station.

  I transfered over back to the Viper, and patted Anibeli on the back when I saw her next. In void transit, we started war gaming void battles on a holo table when she had time.

  It is gamelike, the mechanics. Not turn-based though. We had a set amount of points we used to buy ships and their upgrades, then it was a real-time void war sim. Thankfully there were ship descriptions so I knew what I was choosing.

  Our choices were secret from each other. I chose 3 full squadrons of cobras, and 2 Defiant class light cruisers. I had upgraded them to use starhawks, and I upgraded my destroyers torpedo complement.

  I ended up drawing her in with a squadron of destroyers and a light cruiser. She had 3 cruisers, 1 regular and 2 light. She ended up getting her cruiser blown up when a full volley of torpedoes from one of my squadrons point blank crippled and destroyed her shortly after. Said squadron was decimated to the man shortly after as the light cruisers mulched them.

  Things fell apart quickly there after as she got wise, and destroyed my light cruisers. Then, a surprise squadron of frigates hit me, and died. I managed to kill a light cruiser and half the Frigate squadron before I went out though. Not terrible for my first 'naval engagement.

  We congratulated each other, and she consoled me after my loss. We played every chance we could, and occasionally practiced with our blades. She was by far the better fleet commander, and I was the better sword fighter, as expected. We passed the days well.
