"To all crew, prepare for warp emergence. I repeat, prepare for warp emergence." Anibeli said over the ship's vox. We were just about out, only a minute now.

I locked myself down and braced. Apparently, sometimes, emerging from the warp rocked the ship. Sometimes it also brought things out with you. I... honestly didn't care to know how. The immaterial and I mix poorly.

  "All crew, brace."

I could hear the ship groan as suddenly, something changed. The noises continued for a while, before Anibeli called again.

"All crew, emergence successful." She said. She sounded pleased by that, and from what I heard, things had changed from back in the day.

Daemons, insane traitorous forces, and some dark gods now lurked in the dark recesses of the immaterium. It was... concerning. The warp was directly harmful to the galaxy at large, and to hear that it had gotten worse, and that insane traitors to the human emperor were actively trying to doom the galaxy?

It was insane, illogical. But, there was evidence apparently... I honestly wanted it to be a delusion, but it would be foolish to pretend it might not exist.

I had spent a not insignificant amount of time during transit asking questions on the subject, and Anibeli had told me that their house had files and the like on the subject.

I would attempt to find and read them when we rendezvous on the Honors Show, the Berekel houses light cruiser. They had long ago outfitted it to be the houses main base of operations, which now stored most, if not all, of the important things the house owned.

I would be moving to that ship for a bit, and after we hit the next port, I would transfer over back to Anibeli's ship. But first, I would have to meet anibeli's grandfather, in person.
