Countess Majora of House Templar arrived on time. I was already out-front waiting to meet her carriage. As she stepped out, our footman offered her a hand, but she rebuffed him. She was an older middle-aged woman that looked to be incredibly fit. She was dressed in combat robes covered by a light cloak. Since I had Magic Sight active, I could see the powerful magic embedded into the cloth. I couldn’t tell what the magic did, but it wouldn’t be hard to guess. Defense, defense, and even more defense. When she stepped out of the carriage, I bowed deeply and said “Welcome to Covern House, Countess Majora of House Templar.”
She looked at me, seemingly appraising my value. “I am thankful for the welcome, Trevor of House Tierra “. She walked toward me as she spoke and raised her hand. I took her hand and pressed my forehead against it, as was the proper way to greet a high-ranking noble woman. Yes, Fabia instructed me on that after I foolishly suggested that Gabriel meet her at the door and show her in. Fabia decided I desperately needed etiquette lessons, and she proceed to talk at me throughout lunch and until the countess arrived. I had a bad feeling that I wasn’t done with the etiquette lessons.
A man also exited the carriage. He was much younger, taller, and also incredibly fit. His tight fighting clothes and cloak were also embedded with magic. He wore a light brown leather hat with a wide straight brim. His cloak matched the hat’s color, and blended well with his other clothing. He had a long sword attached to his hip. It had a very ornate and intricate hilt, with lots of gold and silver intertwined. The scabbard was also very ornate with filigree all the way down. He had an easy smile that expressed unreserved confidence.
“May I introduce my son, Brakford, my first born and heir.” The countess turned to face Brakford as he came close.
“Welcome Brakford of House Templar to Covern House.” I said as we shook hands. “Should we go inside, countess?” And I gestured toward the open door.
“Of course. Let us not do our business in the street.” The countess moved inside followed by Brakford and then myself. Gabriel offered to take the cloaks for both but was gently rebuffed.
“We have an entrance thru Covern House to my store’s examination room. This allows for discretion. Please follow me.” I said and led them to the secret door and exam room. In the exam room I offered them chairs to sit and after then both sat down, I sat in my chair. “What can I do for you today countess?”
“It’s not me, but my son. He is in a delicate situation, and I need this handled as discreetly as possible.”
“Anything we talk about in this room will not be repeated outside of it, unless you or Brakford want to discuss it somewhere else. I call this Healer-Patient confidentiality.”
The countess seemed relieved at this and began telling me about the situation. “Brakford is engaged to the second daughter of Earl Ramana of House Doldina, Jasmira. Unfortunately, Brakford has developed a problem. A problem that will prevent this marriage. The problem is concerning, about, uhmmm0” she stumbled to a stop and just looked at me.
“I understand the sensitivity and possible awkwardness. With both your permissions, I will try to identity and diagnose the issue.” I said, trying to get to the root of the problem.
Both agreed immediately. Neither wanted to speak out loud what the problem was. I, of course, thought two possibilities, erectile disfunction or STD. I cast Identification on Brakford.

Diagnose gave a better result.
[Patient has syphilis, crabs, torn rotator cuff, and lightly torn left back muscle. Syphilis is advanced, but no neurological damage.]
“I see the sensitive issues and can fix both. You also have a torn rotator cuff and lightly torn left back muscle, which will be the only thing on any record. The rotator cuff will become a big problem, and I assume your shoulder is beginning to hurt after sword forms. Is that correct?”
“Yes, I was in a fight against a verbrig a few days ago, and it tried to tear my arm off. I was able to defeat it, but my arm has been acting up ever since.” A verbrig is a bear like monster, that roams the forest.
“Please ready yourself.” I cast Cure All followed by Heaven’s Heal concentrating on the syphilis damage. Next Diagnose to ensure the syphilis was gone. Cure All again on the crabs, then Heaven’s Heal for the arm and back. Diagnose again to ensure all was well. Brakford was cured of all his ills. He moved his shoulder and arm in a circular motion, marveling at the pain free movement.
“While you are here, may I Diagnose you, Countess Majora? I would consider it preventative care, if you would allow me.”
“Proceed Young Master Trevor” she said. I noticed the change in the way she addressed me, using the Young Master title.
I cast Identification and then Diagnosis on her.

[Patient has lung cancer, reduced cartilage in both knees, spinal compression, loss of hearing in her right ear, impaired eyesight, and arthritis in her hips.

“You have arthritis, impaired eyesight, hearing loss, spinal compression, and bad knees. Do you have difficulties breathing at times?”
“Rarely, but it seems to be happening more often lately. Is there something else wrong?”
“Yes, countess. I can fix it, but you have lung cancer. It is a progressive disease that will only get worse and eventually kill you. But as I said I can fix it. I am just glad we caught it early. May I proceed?”
The countess was not startled at hearing she had lung cancer. I assume she had already guessed as much. Cancer was a death sentence on Tellus Nova. At least it was until I came along. “Yes, please” the countess replied.
I had to cast Cure All twice concentrating on the lung cancer before it was clear. I cast Heaven’s Heal four time to clean up all her conditions. “Okay, lets test your hearing.” I snapped my fingers near her left ear, and then on her right. She smiled broadly, knowing her hearing was restored. She reported her eyesight was sharp, and her ‘aches and pain’ were all gone. She then took a deep breath and released. She said “It’s been a long time since I could have done that without coughing. I feel so good, I may just help with the next monster wave”. Both of my patients were happy with their treatments, and the countess paid the bill without complaint.
We moved to the sitting room in Covern House. There Gabriel served us tea, and we made small talk for about 20 minutes. This too was part of the etiquette lessons Fabia provided. Business must always be followed by tea, when dealing with nobles. Sometimes it would be something stronger, if the news was bad. Countess Majora kept adjusting her sitting position testing to ensure her arthritis was actually gone. Each time she moved without discomfort, she smiled. I imagine she was happy to be arthritis free. Brakford did similar with his arm. Reveling in his pain free movement. Countess Majora said she would be sending her chief of staff to coordinate with Fabia to have her people scheduled for exams and healed as needed. Soon enough, it was time for them to leave, and I led them to their carriage. I waved goodbye as the carriage moved away. I thought to myself, “Those two will let everyone know I fixed their health issues. Not the STD, but everything else. Business will be booming”. I had to thank Fabia for the etiquette lessons. The information she provided was needed to ensure the proper actions were taken on my part to ensure the countess and her heir were treated with the required respect.
