This means nothing good!

The two snakes had already almost broken the door, but Veylan; he was mentally somewhere else. “If such low-level threats in zone one is such a big obstacle for me, how could I survive in zone two? Or even worse, how could I survive in the world of miracles?”

This world is much different than earth; the world of Alecti has three zones. The zone one also called safe zone; almost all of the population lives in this zone; it has dangerous nature but is safer than the rest. Zone two is a zone in between, there is no government or law there and most importantly, nature is much more dangerous. Finally, there is the world of miracles, it has the most dangerous places but also the safest places in this world. But the Alecti association keeps this zone as a secret even though it makes up eighty percent of the whole Alecti world.

Riven found a moveable bookshelf, behind was a slide that leads somewhere unknown.

  BAM!

They had no other chance than using it, maybe they would’ve even won against the snakes, but the potential risk is way too high!

A short uncomfortable slide Veylan fell on Riven. “Hey, what the fuck was that! Be more careful next time!” Riven complaint like a grumpy cat. “It’s not the time to complain, we got out without dying; and be aware of traps.”

The hall had high walls and looked like a medieval throne hall; the throne was still too far away for them to see it. Riven was impatient and still impulsive and angry mode. This is why he ended up being near a throne and its king.

  King rotting snake!

The king sat on its throne, ready to attack. Besides being over five to six times bigger than a normal one, its poison is also different. For the usual rot snakes the poison only shows its effect on the parts that actually touch it. But the king’s poison also gets in the whole body.

It sleeps, but Riven being loud woke it up. Right as it saw them it spread out its aura. It was way different from the ice turtle. Without any doubt the snake’s aura suppressed Veylan′s aura. Riven couldn’t even move properly and Veylan only could move because he also used his aura.

As it got up from its throne the room got brighter; they could finally see everything properly. Looking around they spotted a round hallway. Without any other thought they ran into the hallway trying to get away. The snake unfortunately fits into the hallway; it looks like the way is extra shaped for it to fit in.

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

To their left was a door, they went instantly in. Liberty, in most cases liberties, are safe spots without threats and often have guides about the area. Little searching later, they actually found one; but there was something that surprised them especially Veylan.

The first line of the book was: “Hello, whoever gets to read this book, I hope it’s you, Veylan.” Riven was completely shocked not being sure if a different Veylan was meant but this thought vanished quickly.

“According to my calculations you should participate in this Alecti exam, this isn’t an actual guide for the block here; you need to be able to do it all by yourself or at least with out to much information′s to help you. I give you a tip to where you should head next after the exam: Hells abys. You should find there another hint for your next journey, right now if you find it, I should’ve arrived at heaven. I need to head further, good luck.” Veylan was shocked but also expected it. Riven asked “Who wrote this, someone you know?” It was his father.

Veylan had the urge to tell Riven more about himself without revealing too much. “I grew up in a little village; it was almost in zone two. The village basically were all people that had much knowledge that the associations hid, nobody knew this village existed. My father was one of the strongest guys with the most secret knowledge that is hidden for most people. When I was sixteen my father went alone on a big journey, to find the most peaceful place that exists, heaven. His big plan was that the whole village should participate in the exam and find the plateau with its hints. Only a few days after he left, the whole village got attacked by all different kinds of monsters…I am the only who survived.” Veylan just moved on trying to find an actual guide, leaving Riven shocked.

They began to hear something. The king rotting snake. One of its big eyes that is almost as big as a door itself looked through the open door, letting out its massive killing intent. “We should go…” Riven agreed nervously.

Going through the back door of liberty wasn’t an option because the long body of the snake kept them from leaving.

Suddenly the snake tried to squeeze itself through the small door frame. A moment later the head of the snake was in.

  Slash!

The snake got attack at the end of its body and escaped. A middle aged man comes in the liberty “That was close, wasn’t it? Do you guys want to stay together maybe?” Neither Veylan nor Riven had something against it.

While searching through hoping to find the exit or at least some items they found out that his name is Bedre, it was already his third time participating.

In a room the door closed behind them, they couldn’t get out anymore. On the floor laid a few knifes and potions, Bedre said “Wait I know what this is; the knifes are effective against all kind of rot monsters and the potions can heal one from the poison!” Even though it sounds good, Veylan says something quite concerning “I would not be this exited, we are going to encounter something big.”
