“Officer Jenny thank you for coming!” Professor Oak said as he stood up to shake her hand. “Professor Oak, who did this to your lab?” She asked while looking around at the damage. “It was Team Rocket! They were after our Lab’s Pokèmon, and the Pokèmon who belong to our Lab’s trainers” Professor Oak said. “Where are they now? Did they get away?” asked Officer Jenny. “No, my lab aide Austin and his Pokèmon apprehended them. They are knocked out in the corral area outside” Professor Oak said motioning to the door. “This gentleman here single handily took out Team Rocket and apprehended all of them?” Officer Jenny said pointing her pen towards me. (Do not blush! Do not blush! Play it cool!) I thought to myself. “Hello Officer Jenny, my name is Austin. I work here with Professor Oak as a lab researcher, and I just became a registered trainer today. The kids and I can fill you in on all that transpired during the rescue of Professor Oak and the take down of the Team Rocket Grunts” I explained reaching out for a handshake. “Well, thank you for apprehending them. Please be careful in the future, there is no need for you to get yourself hurt trying to save others” she said shaking my hand lightly.

  “Then we got out here and my partners Po and Rapunzel helped take them down and rescue Professor Oak” I said standing outside showing where Po had steamrolled Team Rocket. “Can I see your partners please? Just for note taking of course!” She tried to assure me. “Come on out Po and Rapunzel!” I called out throwing their balls in the air. “Lick La La” “Tang Tang” they said as they walked over to where I was standing. “WHAT IS THAT THING!?!?” Officer Jenny said pointing at Po. (Here we go again. I need to prepare a flash card or something to hand people for when I am planning to bring Po out) I thought to myself. Five minutes of explaining Po and his origins later, “What a cute Pokèmon! You look like a gentleman yourself with your white patch of fur looking like a false shirt front” she said stroking his fur. Po couldn’t stand the compliment and was rolling around on the grass making excited sounds. Officer Jenny cutely covered her mouth and unleashed the most adorable giggle I had ever heard. (This is bad, very bad) I thought to myself. “Are you okay Austin? Your face is all red?” Officer Jenny asked me. “Good, yes good. All fine. Tanks for much worry” I stammered out. “Let me check your forehead” Officer Jenny said reaching over. “No, all good! Sorry just couldn’t get the right words out” I said chuckiling and trying to play it cool. “Okay, but if you need medical attention please let me know!” Officer Jenny said looking worried. “I’m fine, I promise! Would you like to see the move Po used to take out the Team Rocket Grunts?” I asked trying to change the subject. “Yes please! It sounds like an excellent move for helping sneak up on unsuspecting purps” she said excitedly. “Let’s go Po! Rollout!”

  “Thank you again everyone for your cooperation! A special thank you to Austin for catching those Team Rocket Gang Members! I’ve got all your statements and these folks will be going away for a long time” Officer Jenny said while giving us a polite bow. “Thank you as always Officer Jenny for your speed and professionalism!” Professor Oak responded. “Officer Jenny, what happens to the Pokèmon who belonged to Team Rocket?” Gary asked her. “They will be logged, and if they belonged to other trainers they will of course be returned. If they are wild Pokèmon, they will be rehabilitated by Nurse Joy and returned to where they belong” Officer Jenny explained. “Officer Jenny, there’s an Ekans and Onix that will need immediate help. Ekans seemed to have PTSD or some sort of mental health issues, probably from either trauma or a concussion. Onix is extremely malnourished and was digging for minerals in the cliff side where we keep similar Pokèmon. It will need a large amount of pure minerals as soon as possible or it’s body could start to deteriorate” I told her so she could let Nurse Joy know. “Okay, I made a note. Can she call you, Austin if she has any questions or needs any additional information?” She asked me. “Of course Officer Jenny, if you ever need anything, anything at all, I am always available for you” I said, and then immediately turned red and tried to cover my face. “Well thank you Austin, that’s very kind of you” Officer Jenny said with a smile. “I’ll be taking my leave now. Thank you all again!” Officer Jenny said as she was leaving. Out of some weird feeling I couldn’t explain, I followed after her. Once I caught up to her outside, I asked her “Officer Jenny, if it’s not too forward of me, could I write to you? I’m new to this area and haven’t met too many people who are close to our age.”

  As I walked back into the lab, I held a piece of paper with Officer Jenny’s personal address so I could write to her. My heart was beating through my chest, and I was the color of a strawberry. “So, how’d it go?” Professor Oak asked giving me a wink. “I will be writing Officer Jenny some personal correspondence from time to time. Is it okay if I have my mail delivered here Professor Oak?” I responded looking at the ground. “Of course! Let me know how it goes” Professor Oak said trying to suppress a laugh. “What does Officer Jenny want to talk to Austin about?” Gary asked. “Mwah mwah mwah” Daisy responded. “ewww” Gary said. “Are you going to date Officer Jenny?” asked Daisy. “You kids are too young to worry about stuff like that” I said. “I’m just writing her friendly letters to get to know her” I said trying to hide my true intentions. “Wow, even Mr. Austin likes girls” Gary said laughing at me.
