Two people dressed in all black with a big red “R” on their chests stood in front of the lab. They were looking at a smoldering hole that had replaced where the Lab’s front door used to be. With all the noise and their focus locked on to the smoldering hole, they failed to notice the 310 pound wrecking ball named Po coming at them. When Po finally made contact with them, we all heard a sickening crunch of bone and they were knocked out. Rapunzel still wrapped them up and threw them to the side where Gary and Daisy could check there unconscious bodies. “Mr. Austin, there are two Pokèballs on each of them, but the are empty. What should we do with them?” Daisy asked me. “Give me the Pokèballs for now. If we see their Pokèmon we can return them to their balls so they can’t cause any more damage” I said while getting my belt and bag ready. “Po and Rapunzel, can you two take a peak inside and tell me what you see?” I asked them while still clipping the Pokèballs to my belt. “Lick lick Li Li” “Tang Tang Tang” they both said while running towards the opening. “Okay kids, I need to keep you two safe. I would normally send you two home, but there could be more Team Rocket Grunts waiting there for you” I said thinking carefully. “We are all going to stay together and move through the lab slowly till we can figure out what is going on” I said to them while we waited for Po and Rapunzel. “Starshine, I need you to act as our alarm. If anyone sneaks up on us or is trying to, I need you to do your best screech so we can hear” I said to our smaller team member. “Clef Clefairy” she said in response looking around.

  Po and Rapunzel confirmed the main lab area was clear which means that they were somewhere else in the building or outside. Professor Oak was still missing as well, hopefully he is still safe. “Okay team, let’s move. Everyone has to stay together. Gary and Daisy please take my hands so we don’t get separated” I said to the two kids. As we moved through the lab there were signs of fighting, but no blood. Some of the systems had been damaged, and that Bulbasaur had been taken. Further in, we got ready to go downstairs and we could hear two people talking. “Rapunzel, we need you to get ready” I said to my feisty vine ball. She started let her vines wander down the hall feeling for anything. When she made contact with something her expression changed. The next thing I heard was two men screaming like little girls as they came flying up the stairs. “Please let us go!” one of the men wearing a Rocket uniform asked while crying profusely. “Po, knock them out!” I said pointing at the two dangling men. “Lick LICK” Po said as he lashed out with his tongue. Once we confirmed both men were down for the count we dropped them into the corner. “Okay, we have two options. We go outside and try to save Professor Oak and the Pokèmon out there, or we call Officer Jenny using the computer” I said to both of the kids. “Mr. Austin please help us save Gramps first” said Gary looking a little scared and worried. “Daisy, do you agree?” I asked. “Yes, let’s move fast and make sure he is okay as soon as possible” she said nodding.

  We sent Po to peek outside and he immediately waved us over. While we ran over I noticed that the storage room for Pokèballs and Pokèmon had been ransacked. “Looks like they are after all the research and trainer Pokèmon” I said to everyone. “We better not let them get away or the lab will lose all its trust with its trainers and researchers” Daisy said while pointing outside. As we exited outside, all I could see was chaos… Pokèmon were loose all over and battles had broken out everywhere. There were ten people wearing Team Rocket uniforms and Professor Oak tied up in ropes laying on the ground. “Po, no one is allowed to be standing” I said calmly with fury building in my throat. Po didn’t even hesitate and started spinning so fast that it sounded like a freight train going full speed was next to us. Off he shot towards the Team Rocket members, and all I could say is “Look, it’s bowling with Team Rocket pins!” CRASH CRACK BOOM is all we could hear as one by one revenge was enacted by Po. “Rapunzel, secure the Professor please! Cut his ropes once he is safely out of harms way as well!” I called out over the carnage being caused by out 310 pound pink bowling ball. “TANG TANG” Rapunzel called out as she started running towards where the Professor was. Some of the Pokèmon started to notice us, but almost all of them were lab Pokèmon who recognized me and ran towards me for safety. “Feeding animals really does train them the fastest” I mumbled under my breath. A very familiar Pidgey landed on my head and started chirping at a Raticate that looked unfamiliar. I hit the return button on all the Pokèballs I had taken from Team Rocket, and sure enough one of them hit Raticate and returned it. Right after that, Po came rolling back to us followed by Rapunzel carrying Professor Oak.

  I checked the Professor’s pulse and confirmed he was just knocked out. “He just needs some rest and a visit to the doctor and he’ll be okay” I said assuring the kids. They both breathed a sigh of relief and then followed me as we collected all the Pokèballs from Team Rocket. We accounted for every single Pokèball that belonged to the lab first as they were all in their bags they had on their backs. Next we took the excess rope they brought and tied them all up. I asked Rapunzel to go back and drag the other 4 out back as well so we could tie them up too. Next I took Team Rocket’s Pokèballs from their belts and began to walk around and collect their Pokèmon. Several Ekans, Raticate, Rattata, Zubat, Golbat, and a couple Koffing. Only one was missing that I was looking for. Finally after 10 minutes of searching I found a very dark colored Onix that was eating minerals from the cliff side and didn’t belong, and sure enough it was the missing Team Rocket Pokèmon. After making sure all of the Team Rocket members were securely tied up together and all their Pokèmon had been apprehended, we carried Professor Oak back inside and laid him down on the couch. Daisy called Officer Jenny telling her what happened. “I’ll be there in 30 minutes with the whole squad!” Officer Jenny said panicking and hanging up immediately.

  While we waited for Officer Jenny, Gary, Daisy, and Starshine sat by Professor Oak and waited for him to wake up. I headed to the corrals to check on the fencing and Pokèmon to make sure all was right. Luckily, because I had moved all the aggressive Pokèmon to the back of the corrals none of them had been harmed or even let out. (Team Rocket must not have had enough time to get to the back corrals, or they are just incompetent) I thought to myself. Some of the Pokèmon were injured from battling the intruders, but nothing that rest wouldn’t heal. (Even with all of these Poison Pokèmon, not a single Poison status among all the injured) I thought while heading back to the lab. (Maybe they aren’t healthy enough to generate their natural poisons from malnutrition or lack of care) I thought as I entered the main lab area. “Is Austin okay?” I heard a familiar voice asking. “Yes Professor, I am okay!” I said with a big smile. “Thank Arceus!” Professor Oak said wiping his face. “How about you Professor? Any damage or injuries?” I asked as I approached the couch. “No, nothing serious. Not even a concussion I think. I don’t feel tired or groggy at all. Just ashamed that this happened to my lab” Professor Oak said looking down. “Professor, these are professional criminals, there is no way you could have predicted that they would strike today” I said patting his back.

  While we were chatting, we could hear sirens coming and Professor Jenny came running into the lab a few minutes later. “That is one beautiful woman” I said a little too loudly. “Professor Oak, I got here as fast as I could” Officer Jenny said as she walked over.
