Angel Noir – Season 2 Episode 7 – The Reason They Were Saved

Episode 7 – The Reason They Were Saved

  Narrator:

In the previous episode, Leon and Lee risked their lives inside the arena to recruit new warriors. By God’s presence, the plan succeeded. Now Lee, Liu, Lara, and Leon must explain to the rescued fighters why they were saved…

Scene 1 — Alpha Organization Main Hall

Inside the massive hall, Lee, Liu, Lara, and Leon stand on an elevated platform. The one hundred warriors rescued from the arena watch them closely, waiting for answers.

One of them recognizes Lee and whispers:

  — Look… it’s Lee. Is it true? Is Lee forming an army?

Lee steps forward, his expression serious.

  Lee:

“Listen carefully. The reason we saved you from the arena is simple. Many have heard of the Organization, and some believe we are merely a group of mercenaries. That is not true. Our real goal is to make the universe a better place.”

  He pauses.

  Lee:

“Many races are alive today because people like those beside me fought for them. In the arena, everyone fights for themselves. Here, we want you to fight for each other.”

  The crowd murmurs.

One of the rescued men asks:

  — So… can we go back home if we want?

  Another hesitates:

  — But what kind of work is this? I’m not a warrior. I was thrown into the arena to die!

  Lee:

“Don’t worry. Our losses were great, but our agents do not die meaninglessly. Every mission involves strategy and intelligence. No one is forced to fight. We have positions in administration, security, logistics. You will receive payment, housing, and protection.”

Another rescued warrior raises his voice:

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.

  — I like what I’m hearing… but why such heavy losses? Five thousand agents… and only one hundred remained?

  Lee takes a breath.

  Lee:

“I prefer honesty. As many of you know, I am a Krizardian and the son of King Aris. When I was appointed director of the Alpha Organization, only one hundred chose to stay with me. The rest left.”

  The warriors whisper in shock.

  Lee looks at them firmly.

  Lee:

“Now let me ask you something. On your worlds, have you ever heard a legend about the Creator who would one day devour the universe?”

  The hall falls silent.

  One warrior raises his hand.

  — On my planet, they say a God saddened by His creation would give people one last chance to change.

  Another adds:

  — In my world, the legend says a furious God would erase the universe after growing tired of wars between His children.

  A third, emotional, speaks:

  — I’ve had dreams… I see destruction… but also a being of light bringing restoration. Unlike any god we’ve ever known.

The crowd begins sharing similar experiences.

  Liu (thoughtful):

“Incredible… Lee was right. Everything really is connected.”

(Flashback — Lee once said: “Just observe. Everything is connected.”)

  Lee steps forward again.

  Lee:

“This same God is already acting. We experienced Him ourselves. We will fight to bring people back to the right path. The alternative is living a meaningless life, fighting for nothing. And if I must die one day… I want it to be fighting for something greater than myself.”

  Silence.

  One warrior steps forward.

  — I’ll stay. My answer is yes.

  Liu smiles.

  Liu:

“Before making your final decision, we will show you our base. Eat, rest, learn about this place… then give us your answer.”

  Lee quietly leaves.

Liu and Lara guide the rescued warriors.

Leon walks toward the training room alone.

  Scene 2 — Arena Hall

Meanwhile, Iris stands before the arena organizer, furious.

  Iris:

“Again you let them escape! You said security was reinforced! Useless! I’ll kill you myself!”

He raises his claws — but suddenly a red light appears.

  King Aris grabs his arm.

  King Aris:

“Step back, Iris. I saw everything. It wasn’t his fault. You were careless… Lee held back during the entire fight. He is far stronger than you think.”

  Iris (angry):

“Stronger than me?! When I see him again, I’ll kill him with my own hands!”

  King Aris:

“If the rumors are true, Lee is building an army. Sooner or later, he will challenge me for the throne.”

  The trembling organizer speaks:

  — My king… there is more. A boy… he stopped both Lee’s and Iris’s attack.

  King Aris (interested):

  “Who was he?”

  Organizer:

“Merchants sold him to me. I didn’t even know his origin. We threw him into the arena as nothing… but he defeated our undefeated warrior. Then a mysterious explosion happened and he escaped. Recently I sent three Krizardians to Giga2. Lee defeated two. When he was about to kill the third… that same boy intervened. And he spoke the same words he said before Iris: ‘The Great I AM has returned.’”

King Aris falls silent for a moment.

  King Aris:

“Interesting… At first I thought it was just another false deity. But this boy… he carries the same traits as the legendary Kairos.”

  He stands.

  King Aris:

“If this is true… Lee may have a plan against the Krizardian Empire. But his true target… is me.”

  Narrator:

And so, a new investigation begins. The destinies of Lee, Leon, and the entire universe grow ever more connected to the mystery of the God who declares:

  “I AM.”
