  "Extrordinary," said Reva, "I don't know why I didn't think of that."

  Freya had printed an elven replicator and was working with her sister Reva to prepare a new body for Thor.

  Standing between the two was none other than Heimdall, chief geneticist of the Asgard Biology Guild.

  "Fascinating,"said Heimdall as he monitored Reva and Freya's progress. "So this device can be used to create a genetic copy of a person?

  "Yes and no,"said Freya.

  "Unlike the cloning technology utilized by the Asgard, these elven beds utilize an advanced polymer — a false flesh, if you will — as the basis for constructing a biological replicant. Think of it like this, instead of making a copy of a copy of a copy, we print a new original instead. The DNA only serves as a map, or a blueprint, while the body itself is constructed using the polymer Amos invented.

  After placing a tiny sample of Thor's blood inside of the elven replicator bed, a small Asgard body appeared.

  "Here we are," said Freya, her voice filled with pride.

  "Remarkable. It had never occurred to me that replicator technology could hold the key to our salvation,"said Heimdall, his eyes filled with wonder. "Recently, my people discovered a derelict ship containing three dead Asgard lost in space over 30,000 years ago. I had hoped to use part of our ancestors' DNA to revitalize our own, however with this technology it may be possible to completely resurrect the genetic vitality of our Ancestor and use his DNA as the foundation for a new and improved Asgard race. Hell, with all this technology, we might even be able to grow gametes again."

  Warrick, who was standing beside Amos as the two elves worked, leaned over and softly asked, "Amos, what are gametes?"

  Amos, irked by Warrick's question, leaned over and whispered, "Balls."

  Using the onboard conscious transfer technology present on all Asgard ships, Freya took Thor's wartorn and embattled mind and transferred it into the untested body of his new host.

  Within seconds, Thor was awake, and like Egeria before him, he rose to greet all those standing before him.

  "This body — it feels –"

  "Different," said Egeria, finishing Thor's initial statement.

  "Indeed, it does. However, I was about to say — great!!" said Thor bouncing effortlessly off the elven bed.

  "The elven body must be stronger than the regular Asgard one, he got up with little to no effort,"analyzed Michael Jackson, his mind teeming with the possibilities.

  Thor got up and walked around the bridge of his ship to inspect all those onboard. Then he noticed both Heimdall and Freyr who were overjoyed at the revival of their colleague and friend.

  "Hail Supreme Commander, it is good to see you doing well,"said Freyr, his face softening with relief.

  "It is good to see you as well, Freyr and Heimdall, who are these who you have brought on board my ship,"said Thor his curiosity piqued.

  Freyr stepped forward with a triumphant stride and said, "These are my comrades from the Lantean Commonwealth, we intervened in the battle and delivered a swift victory."

  Thor kept looking around the bridge until his eyes fell on Professor Gardner.

  "You… You almost destroyed my ship!"said Thor, his eyes squinting at the sight of the former host to Osiris.

  Amos stepped forward and said, "No, Thor, this is not the same person who nearly destroyed your vessel. This is Professor Sarah Gardner from Earth, she was unwittingly taken over as a host by the Goa'uld System Lord Osiris of which you did battle."

  Freyr also stepped forward and confirmed, "He is right, Supreme Commander, we defeated Osiris in battle and were able to safely extract the etan using beaming technology."

  Sarah, now fully healed and more attentive to her surroundings, opened her mouth sincerely and said, "I am truly sorry about what I was forced to do. It was never my intention to cause you or your people any harm."

  Thor's eyes widened with disbelief, to see someone who was once his enemy standing before him as a friend.

  "It is quite alright, the Goa'uld are demons, I know you were not in control of your actions at the time."said Thor with an air of stately authority.

  Thor continued to look around the room then pointed his finger and said, "This one still has an etan inside of her," referring to Queen Egeria who was standing in a corner.

  Amos laughed then responded, "Thor, she is not a Goa'uld. This is Egeria, Queen of the Tokra."

  Thor's eyes brightened with excitement. He then turned to look at young Amos and said,"I have heard much about you Amos Fyree; but to see these wonders standing before me today, I am convinced that Penegal, as well as the rest of the Asgard High Council were right, we are indeed on the cusp of a new and marvelous age."
