“It looks nothing like the way Diva looked when she was possessed! How confusing!” said Raiya.
The demon that called itself Legion is hovering over Diva’s unconscious body. The Legion points multiple of its sharp tendrils towards Diva.
“Tch!”
Eissen activates his Vein armor, summons his gun in his left hand, and his survival knife in his right hand. He charges forward very quickly as soon as he sees Diva in danger.
*BANG*
He shoots his gun and warps; he instantly appears right in front of the Legion.
“DON’T TOUCH HER!!” said Eissen in anger.
*STAB*
Eissen stabs one of the human heads with his survival knife right at its left eye. He’s hanging on to his knife, sticking himself to stay in the Legion’s body.
*BANG BANG BANG BANG*
He also shoots multiple random heads on its body with his pistol. They all burst and create a hole, though no blood actually spills to the ground, strangely. But the heads quickly reform back into their initial state. Eissen’s shots were proven ineffective.

The Legion moved its sharp tendrils to stab Eissen on his head. His danger sense activates, he shoots his gun behind him, and warps away from the Legion and lands on the ground three meters away.
Mari quickly approaches Eissen.
“Ei-chan! Leave that thing to me!”
“M-Mari-chan! Please be careful! I don’t think physical damage has any effect on that thing!”
“Yeah! Thanks for the warning, Ei-chan!!”

Mari activates her Vein armor and lunges forward towards the Legion. She approaches it in no time, already ready with her giant scythe in her right hand.

The blade burns green.

And she went through the Legion’s entire body while swinging her giant scythe, cutting the Legion in two, perfectly in the middle.

The Legion screams in pain, though it sounds like there are multiple voices screaming in harmony.

“S-She cut him?!” said Martina.

Mari lands behind the cut Legion, and she immediately stands up and turns around.

The Legion’s cut body slowly sticks itself and merges back to normal. There was no blood on the ground or anywhere in the vicinity, despite how much blood burst when she cut it in two.
“Say, who sent you here?”

The Legion did not answer, but instead it screamed in agony once more.
“Hmm, so I can hurt you, but since you’re a demon, you’re just gonna keep restoring back to your initial state. I’m in a bind! It seems like I can’t really defeat you normally!”

The Legion was going after Diva’s body, but after being cut by Mari, it changed its target. It points multiple of its sharp tendrils towards Mari.

Mari immediately rushes towards Diva and points her giant scythe towards Eissen and the others. She shoots them with her green fire, and when it reaches them, it explodes bigger and forms a formidable green fire dome shield to protect them from the raining purple lasers.

“Yup! It’s her barrier! It’s pretty strong, so you guys don’t have to worry about the scary lasers!”

Mari was very calm under her green fire dome, and she took a glance at Diva’s appearance, who was unconscious.

Mari touches her own hair with her free hand.

All of a sudden, Martina was pierced through from behind. A black and sharp tendril has pierced her from the back through her front stomach.
“OHHOORRGGHH!!”
Martina immediately coughs up blood. The Legion suddenly appeared behind her.

Raiya screams in a loud volume and in a panicking tone. She immediately readies her gauntlets.

Eissen, Raven, and Robert also call out to her after seeing that her stomach was pierced.

Raiya quickly propels herself towards the Legion by firing her heat beam backward.
“HRAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!”
She swings her right gauntlet to punch the Legion as hard as she possibly can.

But the Legion thrusts tens of its black and sharp tendrils towards Raiya’s face. Its tendrils are moving at a higher speed than Raiya’s own.

Eissen, Raven, and Robert all scream for her name, fearing that she was killed by the Legion. But Mari suddenly appears in front of Raiya. She cuts all of the Legion’s tendrils that were going to thrust Raiya instead in one swing of her scythe.
“(W-WHAT? SHE WAS FURTHER BACK FROM ME, YET SHE ARRIVED EARLIER IN FRONT OF ME???)” said Raiya in her head.

Mari swings her fist backwards at Raiya. Raiya blocks the fist with her gauntlet, and she was sent flying away and landed near where Diva is lying on the ground.

Mari also cuts the tendril that pierces through Martina with her burning giant scythe. Her green flame also burns away the rest of the tendril that was stuck inside her stomach.

Martina falls to the ground with her face down. Mari immediately clenches her other hand into a fist.

Mari unsummons her giant scythe in her right hand, and now she summons the Sword of Purification in the same hand.
