We have received an offer for a mission. For this mission, we have to kill a certain political leader in a country somewhere in the South. We read about the details of the mission first, and it said that there is another group from the Underworld hired by this political leader to protect him. It will be a clash between two Underworld groups.

  “This is exciting!” says Robert.

  “Yeah! Accept it, Eissen-sama!” says Raven.

  “This might give us a chance to practice working as a team!” says Diva.

  “I was already gonna accept it before you guys say anything!” says me.

  “Wohooooo!!!”

  Both Raiya and Martina cheer at my statement.

  “Then let’s go immediately! It’s quite far from our current position!” says me.

  “ROGER!!”

  Everyone excitedly agrees.

  We don’t really have a base or a home to return to. We are contacted by our broker via a special phone that has only one purpose: to make a call. This phone is like any other smartphone in the world, but it has been stripped of all other features and apps. The only app available is the phone app to make a call. We cannot download any apps on this phone, nor can we change its settings in any way. But because of that, this phone battery lasts really long, and we need to only charge it once a week for two hours at max. The broker was the one who provided us with this phone, and they also gave us a portable power bank and its charger. Though our broker has special permissions to send a file that can only be opened and viewed with his permission, to allowed us to read about the details of the mission that he offered to us.

  Usually, this broker of ours only gave one mission per phone owner or per group, but since we are quite famous because of our achievement, he offered us multiple jobs at the same time, and allowed us to choose without any consequences. There are times when we finish a mission, and then the missions that we rejected are still up and open, so we receive the next available mission quickly.

  Because of our last mission, we were in Japan, and now we are heading South, and it’s going to take us a few days or even weeks. Recently, our broker has given us portable vehicles that can be stored inside a small capsule that we can just summon at any given time. There are three types of vehicles: A jeep that can carry more than six people at once for land travel, a jetboat that can carry more than six people for sea travel, and a chopper that can carry more than six people for air travel.

  *POOF*

  I popped out our chopper, and we immediately started heading to the location of our mission.

  Mission 14

  I counted every single mission that we take, and this is our tenth one. We reached the location around a week later. We saw that he is hiding in an underground bunker in the middle of a deep forest. This is very nostalgic for both me and Diva as it reminds us of our small and flooded bunker where we used to live, even though I was only there for a short time.

  I store our chopper, and Raiya immediately blows the bunker door away with her heat beams, as there is no other way to enter it. We run inside and immediately look for that political leader.

  On the way, we saw multiple security guards who immediately pointed their guns at us, so we immediately shot them and killed them without a second thought. We ran through the entire bunker, and we still didn’t find the political leader, nor the group of Underworld people that we hired, until we reached the last floor.

  The moment we set foot on the last floor, we were immediately shot by the other group of killers from the Underworld. There are 14 of them, and none of us recognized any of their faces. Though, as per usual, I commanded Martina to use her black disks to absorb all of the incoming bullets, protecting us with ease. I commanded Robert, Diva, and Raiya to start shooting at the 14 of them, killing them quickly and instantly.

  Unlike the 6 of us who entirely consist of Believers, the 14 of them are all Non-Believers. It seems to me those people are new to the Underworld, kinda like us, and they were doomed from the start when they picked this mission.

  Afterward, we quickly searched for the political leader and found him hiding inside a vent in a kitchen. I shot his head immediately, and we immediately informed our broker of our mission success. The broker told us to hover the phone camera over his corpse, and he officially approved our completion. He’ll give us the reward via bank transfer within 24 hours.

  *CLAP*

  “YEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYY!!!”

  We all clapped each other’s hands to celebrate the success of this mission.

  Mission 27

  We received a mission to assassinate the king of a certain secluded country in the middle of nowhere in the North Pacific Ocean. This place is pretty unknown, and it doesn’t even show up on the map. But our broker gave us a special GPS that specifically points to this secluded island only. We immediately headed there via choppers and then switched to our Jetboat when we reached the ocean. It took us 9 days to reach the island.

  After we landed on the north side of the island, we found that there was only one mountain on this whole island, and we saw no kingdom at all. The mountain itself is quite weird, as there is no top of it, and it looks like only half of the mountain is present. Diva asks me to call our broker, but I decided to climb up the mountain first. We all climb up the mountain really fast with our Vein armors. When we reached the top, we were all surprised to see that there was an entire kingdom inside the mountain.

  “Woooowww!” said Diva in awe.

  “I’ve never seen something like this.” said Raiya.

  “Same. . .” said Robert.

  “This is quite beautiful. . .“ said Martina.

  “Welp, enough of our admiration! Let’s go kill the king and enjoy the scenery later! Let’s play at the beach afterwards!”

  *!!*

  “WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”

  Everyone cheers at my idea. We all become excited, and we immediately run down the slope of the inner side of the mountain. There is a castle in the middle of the kingdom, and it is clear that the king lives there, so we make our way over there quickly.

  We broke through the castle gates and immediately gunned down anyone inside the castle. We headed towards the king’s throne room and killed everyone there.

  “Eh? Where’s the king?”

  We look over every corpse that we killed, and none of their attire screams the position of a king. We searched for the king throughout the castle, and we didn’t find him anywhere. We decided to split up to search for the whole castle once more.

  Around 15 minutes later, Diva informed all of us via our communication devices that I lent to everyone that she found an underground passage with a stone staircase in the basement leading deeper underground. We quickly made our way towards her, and we entered the passage.

  The passage was small, cramped, and humid, so Raven barely fit here with his big body. It also smells funny here, but we endured it easily, as it is still nothing compared to the smell of rotting corpses.

  After three minutes walking down, the staircase finally stops. And we all see that there is an underground mine here, extending as far as our eyes can see. We walk through the mines, but there is no worker here at all.

  After a few minutes, we found a large dug-out tunnel on our left, and we entered it. At the end of the tunnel, we see that there is someone who sits atop a pile of gold. His dresses tell us immediately that he is the king.

  “Yosh! Let’s finish this quickly!” says me.

  “YAHOOOOOOO!!! BEACH TIMEEEEEEEEE!!!” shouts everyone else.

  “H-HUH? WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?” the king screams in shock.

  *BANG*

  I quickly shot his head, and he died instantly.

  Another mission success!

  Afterward, we reported our completion, and then the broker immediately offered us more missions. But we declined the offer and said that we will inform him tomorrow morning. He didn’t mind it and let us go.

  And now it’s time for the beach.

  “WOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”

  “I WANNA PLAY IN THE WATEEERRRR!!!”

  “LET’S HAVE A SANDCASTLE BUILDING COMPETITION!!!”

  “LET’S PLAY BEACH VOLLEYBALL!”

  “LET’S EAT A GRILLED FISH THAT WE JUST CATCH FROM THE WATER!!”

  “WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”

  All of us exchange ideas about what we’re going to do, and we get excited about any of them. But the very first thing we all had in our minds was to swim in the ocean.

  “LAST PERSON TOUCHING THE WATER IS THE LOSER!!”

  We all screamed in harmony and excitement.

  *SRRRRRTTTTTT*

  But when we just started running on the sand, we immediately stopped. We realized that none of us had a swimsuit underneath.

  “Uuhhh, swimming in these bodysuits should be fine, but I don’t think we’ll get the beach vibe wearing these. . .” says me.

  “Agreed. . .” says everyone else.

  *!*

  “How about swimming in our underwear?” suggests Raiya.

  “Uuhh. . . I’m not sure. Most underwear isn’t as tight as a swimsuit. We might lose it in the water.” says Diva.

  “Urgh. . . Let’s just play on the beach then. . .” suggests Robert.

  “Yeeeee. . .”

  We were pretty bummed out by our lack of swimsuits, though we decided not to lose heart about our situation.

  We played beach volleyball, and we were divided into a team of three boys and a team of three girls. Firstly, the boys win the first round, but then the girls win the second round. On the final round, the boys ended up winning with a very close score to the girls' team.

  Next, we held a sandcastle building competition, and I decided to become the judge. Out of everyone’s sandcastles, Diva’s the one who looks the best, so I crowned her as the winner.

  Next, we are holding a running contest to race across the beach. Diva said she’s the obvious loser in this, as her Vein armor is more specialized in spatial awareness than physical capabilities, so she chose to be the judge.

  *BANG*

  Diva shoots her sniper rifle into the sky above, signaling the start of the race.

  *THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP*

  We all immediately activate our Vein armor, and we all also immediately run at full power.

  “WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!”

  We all screamed to psyche ourselves up.

  At the start of the race, all of us were running at the same speed, but soon after, we started to show our differences. First place is me and Raven, followed by Robert and Raiya, placing Martina at the very back. At the finish line, Raven finished first, I finished second, Robert finished third, Raiya finished fourth, and Martina finished fifth. The gap between Raven and me was quite large, while the gap between the rest of us was minuscule, as we were all only 25cm apart from each other.

  And then, the sun shines brightly right above our heads, signalling the time of the day to be noon. We decided to take a break to have lunch.

  Martina summons her black disk in her right hand and throws it really far towards the water.

  “Let’s see how many I can get!!”

  She activates her black disk’s ability and a lot of fish from under the water were pulled into the black disk out of the water.

  “OOoooooooooo!!” said Robert and Raven in harmony.

  “Wow, that’s a lot of fish!” said Diva.

  “I didn’t know you could use your Faith power like this, Martina-chan!”

  “Hehe! Leave it to me, Eissen-sama!”

  The black disk returns to her, and she drops all the fish into the sand near all of us.

  “Uuhh, which ones are edible and which ones are not?” asks Robert.

  “I don’t know anything about fish.” says Raiya.

  “Let’s just discard anything that looks very different than the rest!!” suggests me.

  We all selected our possible edible fish, and when we were about to start a fire, we realized that there were no trees at all on this beach.

  “. . .”

  “Uuhhh. . .” said Raven.

  “I mean, there are trees inside the kingdom!” said Martina.

  “Forget it! Stealing trees might give us any unnecessary attention. . .” said Robert.

  “Why not just buy it?” said Diva.

  “I mean, we just killed everyone in the castle, I’m pretty sure there is chaos going on in the kingdom.” said me.

  “You’re right. . .” said Raiya.

  After a while, we all just sat down on the beach and looked at the ocean in front of us. We all smiled to ourselves and nodded in harmony.

  We all had the same exact thoughts inside our minds without saying them out loud. We decided to call our broker and accept another mission immediately.
