Lukia creates an abundance of water in the arena, but then they all float and flow towards her, engulfing her. The water around her shapes itself into a humanoid shape; it’s 5 meters tall, and it mostly follows the outline of Lukia’s appearance. Lukia herself floats in the center, and it grows the same pair of draconic wings on its back, only bigger in proportion to its size.

  “I call this form, Pseudo-Mermaid!!”

  “That’s an awful name, come up with a better one!”

  “I don’t take opinions from a terrorist!!”

  Lukia lifts her right hand to the side, and the humanoid water follows her motion. On the tall humanoid water figure’s hand, a gigantic scythe of water forms.

  “Heeeee? You’re trying to see who’s the better scythe user between us?”

  Mari runs ahead and jumps forward at Lukia’s location on the humanoid’s chest.

  “INTERESTING!!”

  Mari pulls her scythe back, and the blade catches green fire. Lukia also moves her humanoid figure to pull the gigantic scythe back, and water whirls violently on its blade. They both swing their scythe against each other, and they clash.

  *GROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO*

  The impact sends a shockwave across the entire water wall. The green fire slash goes through Lukia’s whirling water and the gigantic scythe’s blade, but Mari’s scythe was stopped by its powerful force. The green fire slash flies past all the water, and it almost reaches Lukia. Lukia creates another giant shark head of water from below, and it catches the green fire and drags it upwards towards the sky. Eventually, the green fire hits and merges with the green fire dome above, and the giant shark head splashes on contact.

  Lukia creates a new gigantic scythe on the tall humanoid’s left hand and swings it immediately at Mari. Mari swings her scythe towards the new giant scythe and sends another green fire slash.

  *BRRRSSSSSSHHHHHH*

  Mari destroys her new gigantic scythe. Lukia immediately swings her gigantic humanoid’s right arm at Mari.

  *BAAAM*

  Mari simply held her left forearm to block, and she was launched about 1 meter away and landed safely on the floor.

  “What’s the deal with those green flames?”

  “Curious?”

  “Of course! It didn’t react like actual fire.”

  “Well then, let me show you what it actually does!”

  All of a sudden, Mari has already reached Lukia again on the humanoid’s chest. She points the bottom part of the scythe’s handle at Lukia’s chest, and it burns with the same green fire. She taps Lukia’s chest with it, and it quickly engulfs her entire body, even though she is inside the water.

  Mari lands on the floor and looks upwards.

  “So, you know what it does now, happy?” said Mari with a smile.

  *????*

  Everyone else in the stadium was confused. The green fire doesn’t seem to do anything, as Lukia didn’t show any reactions even though she was completely engulfed by it. But after a few seconds, one by one, people realized that Lukia had no reactions for far too long in the midst of the battle.

  Lukia is completely unable to move any parts of her body, not even her mouth. That’s the reason for her silence.

  “My Faith power is called the Reaper’s Scythe, Armament type. It has the ability to rip souls apart from the physical world with just one swing. It also obviously can work as a normal scythe, ripping flesh apart like it’s nothing. My scythe can produce green flames, and it has the properties to bind souls and lock them in place. The reason why everyone can’t leave is that my flame doesn’t allow any soul to go through.”

  “THEN, WHY ON EARTH DIDN’T MY ATTACK BREAK THROUGH YOUR DOME OF FIRE EARLIER?”

  Ardina suddenly shouts from the audience’s seats, behind the water wall. Mari turns towards her.

  “Two things! First, your Faith power is basically a type of soul manifestation, and that’s being very general. Secondly, my green fire is simply as strong as my Vein Armor, so that means your attack was just weak! And not to mention, I’ve already known what your friend, Meli-chan, looked like from the very beginning! I can see it clearly!”

  “GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!” Ardina grumps, but she holds her anger in.

  *SPLASH*

  *BAAM*

  All of a sudden, the humanoid figure swung its punch down at Mari, and its hand splashed into water everywhere in the arena.

  *THUMP*

  Not surprisingly, Mari jumped and dodged the attack on the very last second, and she landed 2 meters away in the arena.

  “Hm, I keep forgetting that you can still use your Faith power. Interesting. Today, I learned that Faith power is actually tied to the soul rather than the body or the mind.”

  *!*

  All of a sudden, a giant shark head made of water with a diameter of 30 meters appears above Eissen, with its jaw wide open, falling straight towards him. He activates his Faith power to run away from his spot, but the giant shark head had already almost reached him and bit him.

  “EI-CHAN!!”

  Mari runs to Eissen really quickly. She grabs his hand and throws him away as soon as possible.

  *BITES*

  *SPLAAAAAASSSH*

  The giant shark head bites Mari, and it splashes into a giant explosion of water on contact with the grassland below. The explosion of water creates a temporary rain in the arena that lasts for a few seconds.

  *THUMP*

  Eissen was unscathed, and he landed near the water wall away from Mari.

  “MARI-CHAN!!”

  Mari is lying down with her back facing the sky.

  She slowly gets up and stands up.

  “Seems like I finally dealt major damage to the Green Reaper-san!” mocks Lukia.

  Both sides of Mari’s waist were grazed and bled a little bit, and her clothes covering her waist were also torn off.

  Lukia lifts both of her hands above her head, and her humanoid figure follows her motion. Water appears out of nowhere, and they all flow towards the humanoid’s hands above. The water shapes into a giant greatsword with 30 meters in length and 5 meters in width on the blade. And then more water appears above, and they all flow and whirl across the giant sword’s blade.

  “I already know how much power is needed to break through your Vein Armor, now I’m going way past that threshold to genuinely harm or even kill you! Last chance, release the hostage and drop whatever you’re trying to do to my best friend, Si-chan!”

  Mari looks directly at Lukia’s eyes with an intense, hateful glare.

  “OVER MY DEAD BODY!”

  “Is that so?”

  Lukia’s tall humanoid swings down its giant sword, and her attack reaches the water wall effortlessly from its sheer length alone. On impact, it splits the ground and the arena floor to a depth of 10 metres underground, but the walls of the stadium where the audience’s seats were were completely unharmed.

  “Mari-chan? MARI-CHAN!?”

  Eissen screams her name, looking for her. He did not see Mari dodge the attack, even with his Vein Armor activated. But even with such a deadly attack, Lukia’s face doesn’t show even a hint of satisfaction.

  “Tch! I didn’t feel any feedback. She must’ve dodged it somehow.”

  *ZRRRRAAAASSSSHHHH*

  *?!*

  Suddenly, both legs of the humanoid were slashed by a large green fire slash. The humanoid figure immediately topples over and falls on its back.

  “UWAAAAAA!!”

  The humanoid figure splashed onto the floor, breaking its entire humanoid shape. Lukia falls on her back and lies on the wet floor of the arena.

  “Wow, I definitely did not see this coming. . .” said Lukia sarcastically.

  And then Mari appears and stands near her head, staring down at her, pointing her scythe point-blank towards her neck.

  “Wanna go again??”

  “*sigh*. . . OF COURSE!!”

  Lukia suddenly shouted, but Mari was not startled.

  *ZZZZZZZZZZZRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHH*

  A giant pirate ship made of water suddenly comes from behind to ram itself against Mari. It is 50 meters in length, 30 meters in height, including the mast, and it’s moving at the same speed as her water jet stream attacks. It has skull patterns and designs everywhere.

  Mari quickly jumps ahead past Lukia, she does a front flip diagonally, and swings her scythe vertically, erecting a giant vertical wall of green fire behind her.

  *DDDDDDDUUUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHH*

  The giant pirate ship explodes into a giant burst of water when it crashes into the vertical green fire wall, losing its shape entirely. It creates a temporary rain once again across the entire grassland and the arena for an entire minute.

  “HHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!”

  Lukia has flown up high into the sky, readying her right fist. She gathers all of the water and the rain, and they all flow into her hand swiftly. The water in her hand was so massive that it created the shape of her own hand, only 10 times bigger in size. She spins the giant hand, and it creates a whirlpool that rotates at 100km/hour.

  “I’LL BREAK YOUR FLAME WITH THIS!! HYPERSONIC WHIRLPOOL!!”

  *BAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMM*

  *GGRRRRAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHKKKKKKK*

  Lukia swings her whirlpool attack, and it breaks the entire vertical wall of green fire into pieces.

  “HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!! REJOICE EVERYONE!! NOW I KNOW HOW MUCH POWER IS NEEDED TO BREAK HER ANNOYING GREEN FIRE DOME!!!”

  Everyone was shocked by Lukia’s declaration and demonstration. They all cheered at the thought of finally being able to leave.

  But then Mari jumps towards Lukia, who’s still airborne. She prepares a punch with her right hand. Lukia reacts quickly and retracts her right hand to prepare a punch as well with her left. She also moves the whirling water on her right hand to her left swiftly. They both swing their punches ahead.

  *BWWWOOOOOSSSSHHHHHHHHHH*

  *GROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO*

  Their punches clash, and it sends a shockwave across the entire stadium again.

  “OH?? What’s this?? You can’t break through my Vein Armor now? What’s wrong, 7th Strongest-san??” said Mari, mockingly.

  “Easy! I’ll just gather more water to exert more power! Simple solution!”

  “Then have you ever thought of me never being serious at all for your sakes?”

  “What?”

  “I still need to save some stamina left to kill that wretched woman later! You’re just a warm-up!”

  “TCH!! STOP INSULTING SI-CHAN’S WITH YOUR FILTHY MOUTH!! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE??”

  “ME? I AM THE GREEN REAPER!!” Mari smirks.

  With that smirk, Mari exerts more of her physical strength, and she pushes back, Lukia’s whirling water.

  “BYE BYE!!”

  *BWOOOOOOSSSHHH*

  “URRRGGHH!!!”

  Mari’s punch deflects Lukia’s hand backwards, and the force of her punch even sends her flying away all the way towards the water wall. The water wall forms a giant human hand and catches Lukia safely.

  “Tch! She’s not serious all this time?” said Lukia.

  “LUKIA-SAAANN!! ARE YOU OKAY?”

  “LUKIA-CHAAAN!!! DO YOU HAVE ANY WOUNDS?”

  “CAN YOU KEEP GOING, LUKIA-SAMA?”

  Lukia turns her head around and sees the audience’s concern about her well-being. She turns her head forward and smiles.

  “DON’T WORRY, EVERYONE!!! I WILL DEFINITELY DEFEAT THAT TERRORIST AND FREE ALL OF YOU!!” said Lukia as she raised a thumbs-up to the side.

  “YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!”

  “GO GET THEM, LUKIA-SAAAAAAAAAANNNNN!!!”

  “DO YOUR BEST, WATER MASTEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRR!!!!”

  “SHOW HER THE DOMINANCE OF THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF GOD!!!!”

  Lukia raises both of her hands to the side. She creates water from her hands, and they form into two giant starfish on top of each of her hands. The two giant starfish have a diameter of roughly 12 meters.

  “Time to play with sea creatures, Terrorist-san!”

  Lukia throws the two giant starfish, and they spin and rotate at high speed, mimicking the throw of ninja stars, or more famously known as shuriken. They fly at half the speed of her water jet stream attacks.

  “What are you trying to accomplish with these two limping water shuriken??”

  *GRABS*

  Mari easily catches the two giant starfish by grabbing them on one of their five legs.

  *DESH*

  *SPLASH*

  She quickly crushes them with her grip, and they splash onto the floor.

  But then, another two different sea animals approach her, flying at high speed. They are a pair of stingrays made of water. Mari raises both of her fists upwards.

  *DESH DESH*

  She waits until the two stingrays are within her vicinity, and then she smashes them both on the upper side of their bodies. The two stingrays burst and splash onto the floor.

  “Hm. . .”

  And then another two different sea creatures fly towards her; this time, it is a pair of giant squid.

  *DESH DESH*

  *SPLASH*

  Mari easily catches them on their heads, and she crushes them with her grip. They burst and splash onto the floor.

  “What is your game? These don’t seem like attacks coming from the 7th Strongest?”

  And then a horde of pufferfish flew towards her. There are roughly 50 of them.

  Mari simply punches them and destroys them each with one hit, and they all burst and splash onto the floor. Next, a horde of horseshoe crabs is crawling on the floor, approaching her at high speed.

  “HHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!”

  Suddenly, Mari lets out a very high-toned and girly scream. She also raises both of her arms in reflex.

  “Ah! That’s Mari-chan’s only weakness, horseshoe crabs. . .” said Eissen.

  “(FINALLY!)”

  Lukia responds quickly after seeing Mari’s reaction. All of the water that was splashed onto the floor now flows towards Mari. They suddenly form a giant jaw that belongs to a shark from underneath, which is 20 meters in diameter.

  *CHOMP*

  The giant jaw of water swallows Mari in full, and she is suddenly trapped underwater. The horde of horseshoe crabs jumps inside the giant jaw, and they all swim and cling to Mari and cover her entire body. The giant jaw quickly grows smaller in size, and the water pressure inside rises significantly in that short time frame. And now it only has a 2-meter diameter. Mari cannot move her body because of her fear of horseshoe crabs and the intense water pressure inside.

  Seeing the situation Mari is in, Eissen reacted reflexively.

  “MARI-CHAN!!”

  He activates her Vein Armor and jumps forward to reach her quickly.
