Light's Second State's appearance slowly changes.

  "(That’s. . .!)" said Lily in her head.

  Every white color in his body turns black, and every black color in his body turns white. His entire appearance has its color inverted.

  Light was overcome by negative emotions, and he entered Berserker state.

  "This is the same thing that happened to me. . . Berserker state!"

  Quroe slowly gets up and is now sitting on the ground.

  "Berserker state? First time I witness this. . ."

  Lily notices Quroe, who's sitting quite a distance behind Light.

  "(There's someone there?!)"

  *!!!*

  Suddenly, the inverted color Light jumps towards Lily. He was prepared to punch Lily with a white sphere engulfing his fist. Lily accelerates herself and moves from her spot, arriving next to Quroe. Lily erected thirteen layers of clock shield domes, trapping her and Quroe inside to hide from Light.

  "Are you okay?"

  "Don't mind me! Who are you?"

  "My name is Liliana Aiha. You can call me Lily. I am the First Judge's Support and girlfriend."

  "You're his Support? You seriously need to keep him in check. He's mentally unstable."

  *!*

  "(He's familiar with the term Judge and Support?! Is he a Judge?)"

  "Wait! Let me heal your wounds!"

  "Don't bother!"

  Lily ignores Quroe's warning and puts her hand above Quroe's forehead anyway. Her hand shines in bright blue.

  "Rewind!"

  Quroe's body wasn't engulfed in light, and his wounds remained open.

  "It doesn't work. You really are a Judge."

  "I told you, don't mind me!"

  "Were you fighting against him? What happened?"

  "Long story short, it was a clash of beliefs, his versus mine. But, by the way, there were civilians all around us. This is a residential area after all. What happened to them? Do you know anything?"

  "Rest assured. The moment I saw that gigantic black sphere in the sky, I stopped time. I evacuated everyone in this entire area. We shouldn't be bothered by any authorities. And I thank you for stopping that massive black sphere. If it were me, I wouldn't be able to do anything since my Faith power would just get absorbed into it."

  "(Time? Stop time? So, the rumor about the First Judge having one of the top names from the underworld as his Support is true? And it's none other than the Queen of Time herself? That cold-blooded assassin?)"

  "Which number of Judges are you?"

  "Seventh. I am the Judge of Wrath."

  "(What? The serial killer Judge?)"

  "(. . .No, calm down. Right now, Light-kun's condition takes priority.)"

  "He's coming! Can you move?"

  "I'm fine!"

  Lily stands up and offers Quroe a hand to help him stand. Quroe ignores her offer and struggles to stand up on his own.

  "You don't look fine!"

  "(Tch! I am in a worse state than I thought.)"

  Light moves and breaks through the layers of clock shield domes that Lily prepared with ease by simply walking. He broke through the last layer, stepped inside, and looked around, but didn't find anyone.

  Lily has taken Quroe to the far side of the residential area. She tore a bit of Quroe's shirt and wrapped it around his head.

  "Just rest here!"

  Lily turns around towards the direction from which they came. She clenches her fist.

  "This is my responsibility!"

  "No, this is my fault."

  "What do you mean?"

  "I. . . somehow correctly guessed about his past and mocked it. This is my fault. I am 100% to blame. I shouldn't have tried to piss him off."

  "Things happen in a fight. It's normal."

  ". . .You are different from what the rumors said."

  "That's not true. I am exactly what the rumors said. It's just, I'm slowly trying to change myself. Light-kun helped me in so many ways that I can move on from my past life. He saved me."

  "Alright, fine. Save him and fix my mistake, too. You are a reliable Support. It almost made me want to have one as well."

  ". . .You're wrong."

  "Huh?"

  Lily summons her swords in both hands. Her hair and eyes also turn blue.

  "I didn't do this because I am his Support, but because I am his girlfriend. I have seen him at his strongest; now I want to face him at his weakest. I have seen his smile. I have seen his laugh. But I have yet to see the full picture of his darkness. I want to accept his pain, his agony. I am currently feeling what he feels."

  Lily puts her hand on the center of her chest.

  "I know this sounds wrong, but seeing him writhing in pain somehow relieves me because this is the feeling that I have always been familiar with. It makes me feel assured that I have someone I can relate to, my life savior as well as my role model."

  Lily then runs faster than the speed of light towards Light and leaves Quroe behind. He was taken aback by Lily's speech.

  ". . .Gahahahahahah. . . Do you hear that, First? Strong. She's too strong. Stronger than you could ever hope to be."

  "I see now. So, there ARE people who put their emotions above all and still came out far stronger than those who chose to hide their emotions. Emotion is such a double-edged sword."

  Quroe closes his eyes.

  "A sociopath and a cold-blooded assassin. You two make a great pair."

  He fainted due to exhaustion.

  On the other hand, Lily has reached Light, and the moment she sees him, she immediately swings her two swords in a cross shape and slashes through him so that he couldn't even react.

  *!*

  "(My blades break apart. . . Figures. His torso turned white on impact. On Second State, Transformation type Believers are able to transform 100% of their body parts. The big halo with 4 capes behind him is now white, as well as the black swirling. His entire skin is pitch-black, and his pants are white, but that is his Second State appearance. I could never forget that.)"

  Lily lands behind Light with her back facing him. Light turns around and suddenly rushes towards her. He throws a punch imbued with his white sphere. Lily moves her head to the right and dodges Light's punch without even looking. She spins her body towards him while summoning another sword in her right hand, and swings it towards his head. Her sword breaks apart and is absorbed into his body as per usual.

  "I honestly don't know what I expected. . . LIGHT-KUN! WAKE UP!!"

  Light throws a punch with his left. Lily grabs his right shoulder and flips over him and lands behind him. Her left leg glows blue as soon as she lands. She immediately turns around and does a roundhouse kick with his glowing blue left leg at the side of his head.

  *BAM*

  It did nothing to Light; he didn't even faze nor flinch.

  "(Seriously, what do I do to immobilize him?. . . Wait a minute!)"

  Light turns around and swings his right hand backward. Lily jumps away from the spot and dodges Light's attack; however, Light's attack wasn't a simple physical attack. He used his Rejection and sent out a powerful gravitational push during the swing, and blew everything away in its path.

  The houses, the trees, the electric poles, the outer walls of each house, and even the street concrete were swept away in the attack. Lily is currently airborne after she jumped and witnessed the destruction of the residential area.

  "(*sigh* I'll return everything back to normal after all of this is over. I can rest assured since I've evacuated everyone so there will be no casualties anyway.)"

  Lily summons the Sword of Purification. She lands on the ground and immediately runs back towards Light. She stabs the Sword of Purification right in his chest. The Sword of Purification is immune to any kind of Faith power, so it pierces through his transformation.

  "(If I'm not mistaken, once it's been 3 seconds, a dome of light will appear and trap both the holder of the sword and the person who's stabbed by the sword inside. That's the only way to save someone from a Berserker state.)"

  One second.

  *BAM*

  *ZRAASSHH*

  “AARRGGGHH!!!”

  Light immediately punched Lily's stomach, and his fist went through her belly and created a hole.

  "URGH!! *COUGH COUGH*"

  Lily coughs up blood.

  "(I'm gonna die fast! I already used my Stop ability to stop time; I can't use it to halt blood loss on my body! DAMMIT!)"

  Lily lets go of the sword and jumps away from Light.

  "(If I die, I won't be able to save him, but he will still be here and continue to run amok until his body gives in. I can't die, at all costs. The only other option would be to try to buy time until his Second State wears out. He was already in Second State when I first saw him. So, I assumed he had been in that state for a while. Second State only lasts for 5 minutes. The worst-case scenario would be if he's been in that state for only a minute. I have to buy time for four whole minutes, against someone who can basically neutralize all of my attacks. . .)"

  While Lily is still airborne, Light has jumped and appears in front of her. He throws a punch at her belly yet again. Lily summons her clock shield directly in front of her to block the punch, but he punches through the clock. Lily blocks his punch by crossing her arms, but she is sent flying diagonally downwards from its sheer force.

  "UARGH!!"

  Lily flips multiple times and summons a clock under her foot as a foothold and successfully stops herself in midair right before she crashes into the pile of rubble and ground.

  Light chases after her and swings another punch towards her. Lily jumps away from Light and dodges it. His punch hits the pile of rubble and the ground below. The entire pile of rubble and ground in the area was absorbed into his white hand, leaving only soft ground underneath them all.

  In the residential area full of houses, at the center of it, an empty field was formed with a diameter of 10 meters. Lily lands in the opposite direction of Light with her back facing him. The moment she lands, she immediately touches the hole in her belly.

  "Rewind."

  She heals herself, and the hole on her stomach closes. Lily had a hole in her stomach for all those moments that just happened. She takes no break and immediately turns around. She lifts both of her hands up in the air and summons a gigantic clockwork sword above her head, and throws it towards Light. The gigantic sword lands on Light’s torso only to be absorbed into his white body.

  Lily's hair and eyes glow blue. She summons her sword in her right hand and runs towards Light at incredible speed. She slashes through Light, and he couldn't react at all, although there was no damage dealt to him.

  Lily's sword breaks apart. She slides on the ground until she stops and immediately runs back towards Light again. She summons yet another sword and slices through Light vertically, and her sword breaks yet again. And then she goes to repeat the same exact actions several hundred times.

  "(Can I keep this up? I don't know how much time left until--)"

  *!!!*

  Suddenly, as Lily was directly behind him and was about to strike another slash, she felt a very powerful rejecting shockwave pushing her away.

  "UAARGH!!"

  Lily doesn't know how far away she got blasted, but she regains her footing and lands perfectly on her two legs. She regains her balance and notices quickly that the earlier shockwave from Light is still blasting everything away.

  She is about 500m away from Light. In that instance, Lily uses her Accelerate ability on her eyes. She absorbs information at an unbelievable speed to gain awareness of her surroundings.

  The shockwave is still pushing everything away, leveling the entire neighborhood. The ground became soft, and there were countless amounts of rubble and leftovers from all the houses, trees, lamp posts, and electricity poles from the neighborhood.

  Lily also uses Accelerate on her entire body. She looks to her right and left swiftly and immediately finds out that there are several bodies that were swept away alongside everything else, buried under them.

  "(I. . . I thought, I evacuated everyone. . .)"

  Lily’s face immediately turns dreadful at the sight of dead bodies.
