Nineteen seconds.

  "They are surprisingly weak but move at the speed of light."

  "Yes, but we're faster than them. Let's keep going, Lunehart-san!"

  Twenty seconds. The next set of angels are coming, four of them, two on Light and two on Lily. They fly in with their sword ready to stab them. Light and Lily parried two of the stabs and caught the other two with their blackened hand. They pulled back the sword that they grabbed and slammed the angel towards the other angel. They proceed to stab the two angels who crashed at the same time, defeating them, and they break apart into light particles.

  Twenty-one seconds. The next few angels came; there were twelve of them at the same time. Light and Lily accelerated their body and flew towards the angels before the angels reached them first. They slashed the first pair of angels on their torsos. They punch the second pair of angels on their heads with their blackened heads, and they explode. They kick the third pair of angels with a whirlwind imbued on their feet. They slash the fourth pair of angels in two. They punched the fifth pair of angels through their shield as they were blocking, but to no avail. They grab the sixth pair of angels on their necks. They disintegrate as they are absorbed into Light and Lily's blackened hands.

  Twenty-three seconds. All of the angels keep coming at Light and Lily, and this time, they swarm them endlessly. Light parries every sword that comes at them while also punching away some of them with a whirlwind imbued fist. Lily dodges every sword that comes swinging at them and defeats the angels one by one. She also kicks them with whirlwind imbued feet.

  "LILY-SAN, ENDURE THIS! WE'LL GET TO HIM!"

  "YOU TOO, LUNEHART-SAN!"

  Twenty-four seconds. They keep defeating the angels that are coming at them as they slowly ascend towards Martin. Some of the angels that are still away from them change their attacks. They point their shields downwards at Light and Lily, and golden beams of light shoot out of each of their shields.

  "LILY-SAN!"

  "GOT IT!! TOGETHER!!"

  Light puts his right palm forward while Lily uses her left palm, and they erect a multiple-layered time clock shield in front of them. Each of the angel's golden beams is able to break one layer of the time clock shield.

  "KEEP GENERATING THE CLOCK SHIELD, LUNEHART-SAN!"

  "URRGGHHHH! YEEEEESSS!"

  Light and Lily's clock shields kept breaking and breaking, but they kept making new ones amidst the chaos. The sky above the city was full of fragments of the time clock shields falling apart, the angel's golden beams of light, and the shining golden rays of light coming from above the golden sky as well as the golden clouds.

  Twenty-five seconds.

  "LILY-SAN, ON MY MARK!"

  "GOT IT!"

  Light and Lily float in the sky while they concentrate on generating clock shields in front of them consistently. A few seconds have passed, and they keep generating clock shields without a break.

  "GO!" Light commands.

  Light and Lily immediately rush forward from each side of the last time clock shield, which immediately breaks apart.

  Twenty-six seconds. Light and Lily accelerate themselves and rush upwards. They dodge every single beam of light that comes down at them. The angels change their attacks. They are now rushing downwards towards them, with each angel ready to swing their sword. Light and Lily use everything in their arsenals to react to every single attack. They block their swords using their blackened body parts. They parry their swords with their own. They dodged their attacks that were coming simultaneously. They keep repeating those actions consistently, which is slowly draining their mental strength.

  "(Four seconds left. With Lily's Faith power, we can do this within the time limit!)"

  "(It almost runs out. If we don't do this now, I won't have another chance to avenge Mi-chan!)"

  Twenty-seven seconds.

  "KEEP GOING!" Light shouts.

  "UNDERSTOOD!" Lily responds.

  They are pushing forward amidst the storm of angels that are coming their way.

  "HHRRAAAAAAAAAAAH!!" Light and Lily grunt together at the same time as they finally make their way towards Martin, defeating all of the angels that were in their way.

  Twenty-eight seconds. Light and Lily have successfully defeated the army of angels summoned by Martin.

  "Took you long enough! Now FALL!"

  "ARGH!"

  "URGH!"

  Martin's golden hand punches both Light and Lily away from him.

  They both use time-stop on their body to stop themselves in midair. Light and Lily gather the fabric of space on their blackened legs. They immediately warp and reappear directly in front of Martin.

  Twenty-nine seconds. Light stabs Martin in his chest with the clock-hand sword while Lily stabs him in the stomach as soon as they reappear.

  "URGH!" Martin grunts out of pain.

  "ACCELERATE!!" Light and Lily shout.

  Light and Lily, ready their blackened fist, Light with his right arm and Lily with her left. Their blackened hand glows in blue light. Lily’s hair changes color into light blue while Light’s changes into purple. Both of their pupils change into their respective colors and the shape of a clock, complete with the twelve Roman numerals.

  "MASS OF ASIA, CONTINENTAL REJECTIOOOONNN!!!" they both shout in harmony.

  Their punches come down at Martin faster than light and land directly on his face. Their punches have twice the mass of the entire continent of Asia, plus the accelerated momentum from their swinging speed.

  "FALL, MAN WHO CALLED HIMSELF ‘GOD’!"

  Both Light and Lily declare their final attacks against Martin.

  As their punch landed, Martin's face was torn into pieces while the rest of his entire body was launched violently downwards towards the big pile of debris below from the destruction of the buildings from before. He crashes into the giant pile of debris in no time, and the impact pushes away all of the debris and rubble, clearing the spot as it also lifts the dust above and creates a giant crater on the ground. The sky and clouds above also returned to normal from their golden state. The impact causes a massive earthquake across the entire ruined city, and if there were any buildings left intact, far in the back, they have now surely toppled over and fallen apart as well.

  Thirty seconds. Light and Lily descend and land outside the giant crater where Martin landed. Their blackened arms and legs, her light blue hair and eyes, and his purple hair and eyes, all have returned to normal. The time limit is over. They lost their Unification state, and the blue halo above their head breaks apart. They also lose their access to each other's Faith power.

  *pant pant pant*

  Light and Lily are incredibly exhausted. Their breathing is so heavy, and their bodies are shaking. They stare carefully down towards the giant crater where Martin is.

  Martin slowly gets up, and he has no wounds. Light and Lily are shocked by what they see.

  "Are you serious?" said Light in disbelief.

  Lily also looked terrified, but then, Martin's face cracked as if it were made of porcelain.

  "Impressive. That teamwork you two just displayed was fantastic indeed, and for some reason, the Queen of Time was also not affected by my Faith power after you two entered the Unification state. What's the story there?"

  "TCH!" Light clicks his tongue.

  "Not answering, huh?"

  Light and Lily ready their battle stances while still shaking and breathing heavily.

  "Are you two saying you still wanna go? HAHAHAHAHAH!! Ridiculous! I know what comes after the Unification state! You're just playing tough! You can't fool me!"

  "Shut up!! I'm not gonna stop until after you fall!!"

  ". . . ."

  Martin thinks to himself in silence, but in a very short time.

  "I suppose, there is still a lot that I don't understand about this world." Martin looks up towards the sky.

  "Whenever I use my Faith, you, Judge-person, I sense the presence of the highest being in all of existence. It's almost as if the One True God is directly protecting you."

  "*pant pant* because He is! *pant pant*"

  "Hmph! I'll let you go, for now, Queen of Time. Rejoice, for I have arrived at a different answer." said Martin to Lily.

  The crack on Martin's face got larger and larger, and eventually, his upper face fell apart. However, there is no blood. The inside of his head was empty.

  "You two should give yourselves a pat on the back because you two have actually defeated one of me. I believe congratulations are in order! Congrats!!"

  *Clap clap clap*

  Martin congratulates them, applauds them, and then smiles arrogantly.

  “MARK MY WORDS! IF I FOUND OUT THAT YOU’RE STILL DOING THESE THINGS TO ANYONE ELSE, THE NEXT TIME WE MEET, I’LL BRING ALL SEVEN JUDGES WITH ME!! CARVE THIS WARNING INTO YOUR MEMORY!!”

  Martin smirks arrogantly.

  “Oh, I look forward to that!”

  Martin's entire body is cracking as it eventually breaks apart and disintegrates into sand and vanishes into thin air.

  . . . . . .

  "W-WHAT?" Light asks in confusion.

  "WHAT DID HE MEAN BY 'ONE OF ME'?"

  Lily suddenly fell to her knees and sat on the ground.

  "I'm free. . . kind of. . . After all these years. . ."

  "For now, anyway, but Lily-san, my promise to you was to take him down. Properly! Apparently, that was just one of him so this doesn't count!"

  Lily stands up and approaches Light and thanks him. She also grabs Light's hand.

  "No, Lunehart-san, this is enough. Thank you!"

  "Hold it, Lily-san. Save the thanks for later!"

  "Huh?"

  "Remember what I said about a 'severe punishment' that you agreed with back then?"

  "Yes?!"

  "Well. . ."

  All of a sudden, both of them hold their chest with both of their hands, precisely where their heart is located.

  "HNGH!"

  "HRNGH!"

  Light and Lily had a heart attack, an incredibly painful one. They were so in pain that their grunting pain came out in a stutter. Veins are growing visibly across their entire body. Their skin also became slightly red. They slowly fall and finally lie down on the ground.

  "HNNNNNNNNNNNGH!"

  "HRRRRRRRRRRRRNGH!"

  For a whole minute, they have to endure an excruciatingly painful heart attack after the usage of Unification. On top of a heart attack, both parties who activated Unification also lose their Faith power completely from the moment the Unification state runs out until the heart attack fades away. So basically, they are completely vulnerable during the heart attack for an entire minute.

  They keep holding on to their chest as they grunt in pain.

  *PANT PANT PANT*

  One minute later, they are panting hard, a lot, after the heart attack slowly fades away.

  "That. . . was . . . the drawback. . . of using. . . Unification. . ." Light explains with each word, disrupted by his panting.

  "I. . . see. . ."

  They lie down facing upwards side by side for a few minutes until their pain is completely gone. Lily rolls over on the ground and faces towards Light, while Light also looks over towards Lily. She grabs his hand with both of her hands and holds it tightly.

  "Lunehart-san. . . Thank. . . you. . ."

  Light saw that Lily shed tears.

  "I've prayed so much to the point that I no longer think my prayers will ever be answered. Thank you."

  Lily moves Light's hand towards her forehead as she closes her eyes and continues to cry.

  "You are very much welcome! God always hears those who pray with all their heart! His answer may not arrive sooner than you think, but His answer always comes at the perfect timing! You may find this difficult to accept, because you just lost your best friend, but in the future, you'll call back to this moment and realize how perfect His timing was. I can guarantee you this one!!" said Light.

  Lily smiles. She closes her eyes and sobs for a few minutes as Light just lies down awkwardly.

  "Lunehart-san, as thanks, I will do anything for you! Is there anything that you want?"

  "Hm. . . Anything you say?"

  "Yes, anything!"

  “Is there a limit to this request?"

  "No, there's no limit! I'll repay you in any way I can as long as it's possible!!"

  "I see. . . Let me think. . ."

  "Take all the time in the world! I've got time after all! Hahahaha!"

  Light sees Lily laughing with such an adorable and beautiful expression that he felt something snap inside his chest.

  Light sat up and was quiet for a few seconds. Lily sat up as well, and she was confused.

  "Lunerhart-san?"

  "A girlfriend!"

  "Excuse me?"

  "A girlfriend who lives under the same roof as me. I want you to stay and live with me from now on!"

  "Uh. . . What is a girlfriend?"

  "Are you saying that you who lives in the underworld doesn't even know what a girlfriend is?"

  "Am I supposed to know that?"

  "Actually, now that I think about it. I don't recall you ever having to kill someone who's in a relationship! Usually, they were already a family."

  "Lunehart-san, I'm not sure I follow. . ."

  "Hrrrmmm. . . Come here!!"

  Light asks Lily to get closer, and she leans over closer to him. He whispers in her ears.

  *!!!*

  "WHAAAATTT? WE ARE GOING TO DO THAT?? I-I-I-I AM NOT SURE I AM READY!!"

  Lily's face immediately turned red, and she was embarrassed.

  "WROOOONNNGGG!! THAT'S MARRIAGE!! PLEASE FOCUS ON THE PREVIOUS POINT!! WE'RE DATING!!! MARRIAGE IS STILL FAR AHEAD!!"

  "Ah. . . Um, but are you sure that's all you want?"

  "That's all? That is a pretty big decision to make in life!"

  "I'm sorry. . . I wouldn't know about that. . ."

  "I apologize, Lily-san. . .BUT!!"

  Light grabs both of Lily's shoulders.

  "KYAH!!"

  Lily was startled by his boldness.

  "Lily-san, you are gorgeous! Your slender body, your beautiful, silky black hair, your pretty ocean blue eyes, everything about you is what I want for a girlfriend."

  "W-W-W-W-W-W-WAWAWAWAWAWA??"

  Lily's face turns red again, and this time even redder than before.

  "Lily-san, I like you! Will you please be my girlfriend?"

  "I. . .I. . .I mean, I did say your face was pretty handsome previously sooooo. . ."

  "O-Okay. . ."

  "YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

  Light immediately shouts out of sheer happiness and joy.

  "AFTER 17 YEARS OF BEING SINGLE, I FINALLY GOT A GIRLFRIEND!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"

  Light shouts so loudly that it feels like his voice fills the entire ruined and empty city.

  "Uumm. . . so what should we do first as. . . boyfriend and girlfriend?"

  "First!"

  Light offers a handshake to Lily. She sees the offer and gives her hand as well. They both shake each other's hands.

  "Pleasure to build a relationship with you, Lily-san!"

  "Pleasure to build a relationship with you as well, Light-san!"

  And thus, the two of them started dating and will also live together under the same roof.
