The Magical Animals wing first year students walked into the forest, led by Professor Zehpyra Nexis. Students wearing their uniform with a dark purple robe. Nautika and Phoebe walked side by side, Phoebe hugged her Loomy and stroked her soft fur. They haven't met Rainer today, she said her first class is potion class.

  Nautika remained silent throughout the journey. Professor Nexis had told her she could capture one of the magical animals and raise it. Nautika remembered Boonie, the intelligent and kind Seltzer. She wondered if she could raise Boonie herself, but she hadn't had a chance to ask Professor Nexis.

  Professor Nexis led them to a building containing several special classes for magical beast wings. The building was located within a forest filled with magical beasts.

  "This is a special class building for magical beasts," Professor Nexis said. She invited the students inside. Other senior students were studying, both inside and outside. They could see large magical beasts roaming the forest.

  "Hey, are they going to attack us?" asked one of the students, Zwein Weatherners. Zwein has platinum blonde hair and dark gray eyes. He had chosen a magical pet named Wolvenris, a magical wolf. Unlike Wolfrins, Wolvenris was a loyal magical wolf that could protect its owner.

  Professor Nexis laughed when she heard his question. "If you don't bother it, it won't attack you first, Zwein," she replied.

  Zwein nodded. "Ah, okay. Then I don't have to worry about losing my limbs."

  Several students laughed at her remark, including Nautika and Phoebe.

  Professor Nexis turned to Nautika. "You don't have a magical animal yet, right?" she asked. She pulled out a large book from her bag about the magical animals that lived in this forest area. "You can look at the animals in this book and choose the one you want, then I'll give it to you," she said, handing the book to Nautika.

  Nautika nodded in understanding and took the book from Professor Nexis. "Uh, but, I have a question, Professor."

  "Can I just keep Boonie? Boonie, a Seltzer who was picking me up to go to Ethergeist," Nautika asked.

  Nautika nodded confidently. "Yes, I think Boonie and I would be a good match."

  "Okay then. I'll have Boonie come see you after class today," Professor Nexis said.

  The students' magical animals are kept in a special room with many cages, they can take them out again after the lesson is over.

  They were in a classroom where each student was assigned a wild, magical animal. The animal was called a Platyrsquack, a duck-shaped creature with a small crystal in its chest, the source of its power. The Platyrsquack was very noisy, running and flying around. The students had a hard time catching it. These magical animals couldn't talk like Seltzer, but humans could understand what they were saying if they had a special relic that could make them understand what Platyrsquack say.

  First lesson: try taming a platyrsquack!

  "There's no way I can tame that crazy beast in a day!" said one of the students named Qian, from 红龙王国 (Hóng lóng wángguó) or the Red Dragon Kingdom a wealthy nation located in the Myrathis region. He has long black hair tied with a red ribbon, and gray eyes, his eyes slightly slanted.

  "I won't ask you to tame that magical beast in a day. I'll give you a week. Whoever tames it the fastest will be awarded a relic that can speak to the platyrsquack," said Professor Nexis.

  "Ugh, who would talk to these annoying creatures? It'd be weird if they actually existed," Zwein said.

  "I want it!" Phoebe said to Zwein.

  Zwein looked at her in surprise. "Are you serious? I don't know what's so great about these magical creatures. Wolvenris is so much stronger." As soon as Zwein said that, one of the platyrsquacks bit his finger and chased after him. Zwein ran away in panic. "No, no! I was just kidding!"

  Phoebe laughed at him. "Taste that!"

  Nautika continued to stare at the platyrsquack in her grasp, gripping the magical creature tightly to prevent it from escaping, causing it to continue trying to attack her with its long beak.

  "Ugh, could you please shut up for a moment?" Nautika said in an irritated tone. The platyrsquack grew even angrier and continued to attack her. Nautika looked at Phoebe, who stood still and didn't attack her, while Phoebe continued to stroke the magical creature's soft fur.

  "Why is your platyrsquack so relaxed and not going berserk like the others?" Nautika asked in surprise.

  Phoebe chuckled, "You have to treat it well so it doesn't feel threatened and attack you," she replied.

  Nautika tried to stroke the platyrsquack's head. And strangely, the magical creature didn't attack her again, instead seeming relaxed and enjoying the caress. Nautika smiled, "Oh, so you like being pampered, huh?" she said.

  Nautika and Phoebe went through their first lesson smoothly. The students came out of the classroom with their bodies covered in fallen platyrsquack feathers, including Nautika and Phoebe's robes, as the platyrsquacks were running and flying around.
