When Emilio came out of the shower, he found that the food had already arrived and Amelia picked it up. Once again, there was enough for ten people.
“Did you check what it is?” Emilio asked.
“I asked the delivery man. Is mondongo stew today, but it will change every day,” Amelia answered.
“Well, that’s good. Did you tip him?”
“He said it was already tipped. How much is Mili paying for this treatment?”
“No idea, but she said she has a business plan for the information that I gave her, so I think it is quite cheap in comparison.”
The family decided to enjoy the treatment and eat the food. They once again finished all ten portions in no time. After they finished eating, the doorbell rang again and Emilio went to receive their new teacher.
It was a woman of about 1.5 meters in height, slim, but completely fit. It was obvious it was a well trained person.
“Hello, I am Gabriela Pasternac.” She introduced herself as she scanned who was going to be her new student from head to toe.
“Emilio Castro, nice to meet you. Thank you for coming all the way here to train us,” Emilio introduced himself as he raised his hand to greet her with a handshake.
“Nice to meet you. Actually, I might have to thank you for this work. Also for all the information. I already had a brief of everything, and it was quite a lot to take in.” Gabriela explained.
“Well, that's good to know. That means that you know why we need a teacher. Did you do the Trial?”
“Yes, I did the Vitality one and got three Stat points. It might seem a lot, but given the numbers we know, there are people who are doing much better.”
“It is actually quite good. I am surprised that Mili managed to get such a talented teacher. Do you want to come inside to talk?”
They both entered and decided to talk together with Amelia in the living room.
“Hi Gabriela, you can call me Ami,” She introduced herself “Will you teach me how to use the gun?”
“Hi Ami, you can call me Gabi. I will, but that is not all. As far as I know you both have to learn how to fight.”
“Well, you can call me Emi,” Emilio added. “We do need to learn, both of us. I also need to use my daggers, but I will have a separate teacher for that.”
“I was told about that too. For now, I would like to know how you were training up till now. I was told you started training a few days ago. Actually, could you show me? After that, I will need you to tell me your Stats and Skill to make a training plan for you. We also have a Gym reserved just for us for a whole month. Should we go there?” Gabriela asked.
“Well, we can show you how we train, but we decided not to share Skills between each other to better understand how to face someone with unknown Skills,” Emilio agreed.
“That was smart. You will tell me separately and keep it unknown between you,” Gabriela added.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
“Thank you. Also, I think we should wait before going to the gym. I believe we need to see the public broadcast today.”
“Then I will check how you train here,” She decided.
“Let’s go to the backyard. We are training there,” Emilio showed the way. “May I know your schedule with us for the next few days?”
“I have to train you from 9 to 18 with a free hour at 13. Your other teacher will have the same schedule and we can coordinate as we need. We also have some free time from Thursday afternoon to Friday afternoon for the Trials. That is also flexible in case you or I have to take longer in the Trials.”
“Isn’t that a lot? Do you not have the weekends free?” Emilio asked.
“Well, it is for three months for now, and the pay is completely worth it and it comes with some nice living arrangements.”
“Ok, but if you need some time to rest or a day off, just tell me. I have no problem with that,” Emilio pointed out.
“I appreciate it. But it will depend on you. As long as you are not able to fight, I will not stop. So show me what you were doing up till now.”
“Hey Gabi, what are the living arrangements you mentioned? Are you going to move?” Amelia asked.
“It’s part of the reason why I accepted the job,” Gabriela explained, “KimTec wants me to be close to you and are giving me a house. We have already moved to a hotel nearby while they find an appropriate place.”
“Why would you accept moving for just three months?” Amelia asked.
“I am not moving for three months,” Gabriela smiled, “They are giving me the house! Could you imagine not having to rent anymore? I couldn’t believe it when it was proposed, but KimTec is such a reputable company.”
“That is some big investment,” Emilio commented.
“Yup, and that is why I will take this job seriously. So show me how you train right now.”
While they were talking, they had arrived in the middle of the backyard. Gabriela had noticed some spots with dried blood that made her raise an eyebrow but didn’t mention anything about it.
Emilio and Amelia started with their regular training once again. In the first part, where it was just target practice for Amelia, Gabriela was focused on how they moved. Emilio expected her to stop them after the girl pointed at him with the gun, but apparently their teacher knew about how the System guns worked.
After Amelia got tired, Emilio took out his daggers and in no more than a few minutes, Emilio made himself a deep cut in his leg making Gabriela shout.
“What the hell are you doing? I told you to show me how you were training, not to use the fucking daggers if you have no idea on how to wield them! We have to take you to the hospital right now!”
Even if she was freaked out, the two other people with her were completely calm.
“I did what you asked me to do. I have been doing this for a few days now. Let me focus on stopping the blood,” Emilio explained.
“Yup, he cut himself dozens of times by now, if not more,” Amelia confirmed.
“What? How are you still standing?” Gabriela asked, quite confused at the contrast of the heavy wound and her two students being relaxed.
“He got super healing as a Skill,” Amelia explained.
“Well, that’s something. But it is really careless to train like that!” Gabriela scolded him
“And that’s why I asked for daggers replicas to train, but for now this is the best I can do,” Emilio defended himself.
“Yeah, you are not doing that anymore,” Gabriela decided to stop the weird way Emilio trained. “I will not let you get hurt like that, but it is good to know that you can heal, and I will consider it in your training.
“I have to admit that seeing you train was much more interesting than what I thought. It is the first time I see target practice with an actual person as a target, too bad that she is much faster than you or it might have been really interesting to watch.”
“Well, I dodged quite a few bullets, didn’t I? If I have to guess, many people choose guns as their weapons and it will be good to be prepared to face some of them, right?”
“Quite true. I also chose the same, but Milagros gave me a tip and I could get two guns instead of one,” Gabriela explained.
“That came from our experiments, I also wanted two!” Amelia complained.
“What use is it for you to have two guns if you can barely control one? You are five times faster than him and he managed to dodge some of your bullets,” Gabriela scorned her. “Emilio, you should finish healing and then come inside. Apparently, I need to know your Skills before I can plan anything. At least, now I know where you stand.”
