Chapter 64 : The Feud in the Library

"Where did that voice come from?" Leandra said.

Leandra and I started looking for the source of the soft voice. We searched around the lowest floor of the library. Until finally we found the source of the voice. In the corner of the room covered by bookshelves, there was a male student lying on the floor and being surrounded by other male students. The students surrounding the man numbered 4 people.

"A bullying or an extortion?" I said.

"We better get a little closer to hear what they're talking about, Rid," Leandra said.

  "Okay," I said.

The two of us slowly approached to find out what the students were actually doing.

"Please, don't do that...." said the man lying down.

"Hahaha no matter how many times you ask for help, no one will hear you," said one of the students who surrounded the man.

"Where's your money? a commoner like you doesn't deserve to hold that much money," said one of the other students.

"Please.....don't do that......that money is for.....my daily needs," said the man lying down.

"You better not be so much of a b*tch and hand over the money," said one of the other men who then immediately kicked the man lying down.

"Ughhhhh," the man lying down winced in pain.

"It turns out it was true that it was extortion," I said.

"Even though this academy prohibits actions like this, there are still those who do it," said Leandra.

"The academy does prohibit actions like that and will definitely be punished if the academy finds out. However, if it is not found out then the punishment from the academy will never apply," I said.

I saw the badge of one of the students who blackmailed the male student lying down. And it was a gold badge which meant he was a third year student. As for the others, I didn't see them because their backs were facing me so I couldn't see the other students' badges.

  "I'll stop them," I said.

"Are you serious, Rid? Judging from the badge of one of them, they are third-year students," said Leandra who also saw the badge of one of them.

"It's okay. When they called the man lying down a commoner, I realized that they were probably nobles. It's a common occurrence in this kingdom where nobles sometimes oppress the commoners. And I'm sick of seeing that. When I see something like this in front of me, how could I just keep quiet?," I said.

  Then I rushed towards them.

"Hehehe, it looks like the money from these commoners is quite a lot. Commoners shouldn't hold this much money," said one of the students who had managed to take the money bag belonging to the man lying down.

"Don't tell anyone about this or we'll finish you off, understand?" said another student.

"Ughhhh," the male student who was lying down was still wincing in pain.

I slowly walked towards them and started talking.

This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.

"Hmm if I were the one to report this, what do you think would happen to me?," I asked them.

The four of them were surprised by my sudden presence.

  "Who is this kid?,"

"Did you hear our conversation?," said the students.

After the four students looked at me, I found out that the four students were third-year students because they were all wearing gold badges.

"Yes, I heard what you guys said while blackmailing the student lying there. As I asked earlier, if I report this to the academy, what will happen to me?," I asked.

"You're quite brave, huh, even though you're only a first-year student," said one of the students who knew that I was a first-year student from my bronze badge.

  "That's right, he's wearing a bronze badge,"

  "Which means he's our junior,"

"You better not act tough as a junior here," said the students as they approached me.

"That's enough, Rid. Wouldn't it be better if we didn't cause trouble with them? Those four are third year students," said Leandra who suddenly approached me.

"It's okay Lea, you better get away from here," I said to Leandra.

"Those long ears, is she an Elf?," said one of the students.

"It seems true, and judging from her badge, she seems like a first year student too,"

"What are the elves doing in this academy?,"

"How could this academy allow slaves to become students here?," said the other students.

I was a little annoyed to hear their words.

"Hey junior, is that elf your slave? It's great to have a beautiful slave like her, but doesn't this academy not allow you to bring slaves? Or are you willing to make your slave a student so you can be alone with her in this academy? You must always be served by your elf slave every night," said one of the students.

Meanwhile, his three other friends just laughed. Leandra just kept quiet behind me but I could tell that she was feeling scared because she was called that.

"Hey junior, how about you lend us your elf slave and we promise to forget about you seeing what we did earlier? Don't worry, as long as we borrow your elf slave, we will take good care of it," said the male student.

But I kicked him so hard that he bounced and hit the bookshelf behind him before he could finish his sentence.

  *BUUMM

A loud noise was heard in the library when that student hit the bookshelf.

"Charlos!!! You b*st*rd," said one of his friends.

"So his name is Charlos huh, well I don't care about his name anyway. He talks too much so I kicked him to stop talking. How dare he call my friend a slave," I said.

"What are you waiting for, let's beat him up," said one of the three students.

Then the three of them came to beat me up. But I easily avoided the punches or kicks they threw at me.

"It seems like they know where they are so they don't use magic in this place," I thought.

While avoiding their punches and kicks, I also threw punches and kicks at them one by one. Because of this commotion, many students in the library approached us to see what was happening.

"D-d*mn, that b*st*rd dared to kick me until i ?flew like this," said the student named Charlos.

"I'll kill you," said Charlos while holding the sword he was carrying.

I continued to avoid the punches and kicks launched by the three students while attacking them back when I had the chance. Suddenly, Charlos darted quickly towards me.

"Die!" said Charlos while swinging his sword.

  *BANG

Suddenly a gunshot was heard and at that moment Charlos' sword was released from his grip. Charlos immediately stopped when his sword was released from his grip.

"What are you guys doing? You're making a scene in this library," said a woman.

  "She...," I said.

  "Miss Nadine," said Leandra.

It turned out that the woman was Nadine Emerald, she was on the top floor of the library and holding her mini handgun.

"She shot with the gun from the top floor and managed to hit the student's sword which caused the sword to fall out of his hand. Her accuracy is really amazing," I thought.

Then senior Nadine immediately jumped from the top floor to the bottom floor where we were.

"What happened here?," said senior Nadine.

"Elevrad, you better not interfere with our business. We only have business with that first year junior because he has disturbed our business," said the student named Charlos.

"Is that so," said senior Nadine while looking around and she saw a male student who was lying in pain.

"But this is my job as Elevrad to enforce the rules in this academy," said senior Nadine.

"I told you not to interfere, didn't I? You may be a member of Elevrad, but you're only a second year student. You're one grade below us. If you insist on interfering, I'll beat you up too," Charlos said.

"Hmm, I see, I'll get beat up if I interfere. But...." said senior Nadine.

Suddenly she moved quickly and immediately appeared behind Charlos. Senior Nadine immediately pointed her mini gun at Charlos' head.

"You better not try to do that or I'll make a hole in your head with this gun," said senior Nadine.
