Chapter 83 : Building for Staff and Teachers

The next day, we resumed classes at the academy after a three-day break.

"I want the break to be extended. I'm so comfortable with the holidays," Noa complained.

He had barely arrived in class but immediately complained.

"Did the last three days of break give you any good memories with Lillian, Noa? You were on dates with Lillian the whole time, weren't you?" I asked.

"Dating? Oh, so that's how it is. No wonder there haven't been any invitations to hang out together for the past three days. So you've been focused on dating. It's okay, I understand how young people feel," Charles said.

"No, I only went on a date with her for one day. Sorry, but I didn't make any plans to hang out with you during the break because I was focused on practice," Noa said.

"Oh, I see. So you practiced during the break," Charles said.

"I thought you were slacking off during the holidays, so you wanted to extend your break. It turns out you're actually practicing diligently during the break. You don't need to say that, after all, we train at the academy," I said.

"Yeah, that's right, hahaha," Noa said.

I looked at Noa, who seemed to be hiding something.

"By the way, where do you train, Noa?" Charles asked.

"I train in the middle building. You guys haven't forgotten that Mr. Alan once said that the middle building has different training areas, one of which is a special martial arts training area. I train there to improve my martial arts, especially in that training area where I can train with Lillia-" Noa said, immediately realizing her mistake.

"So, it's true that you dated for three days during the break," I said.

"No, no. As I said, I only dated her for one day. On the other days off, we only trained together and didn't date," Noa said.

"What's the difference? It's understandable that you want your break extended so you can train with Lillian again. Since you're not in the same class as her, you can't train with her using the first-year training ground, as they have different classes. So you use the training ground in the middle building," I said.

"That's right. I wish I could be like you, and train with Irene every day," Noa said.

"You can also train in the middle building when you're not on break. If you do that, you'll be training with her every day," I said.

"Yes, you're right, but I feel lazy if I train on a weekday like this. I prefer my days off," Noa said.

"Well, it's up to you. By the way, you said you also train with Lillian at the martial arts training ground. Does Lillian know martial arts too?" I asked.

"No, but Lillian wants to learn it, so I'll train with her," Noa said.

"Is that so. The training ground in the middle building? I've never seen it," I said.

"I've never been either, Rid. Do you have any plans to check it out?" Charles asked.

"Yes, but I'll take a look later," I said.

After that, Mr. Alan entered the classroom.

"Good morning, everyone. How was your three-day off?" Mr. Alan asked.

  The students gave varying answers.

"The first exam is over. Some students passed, and some failed. But the first exam is over. Those of you who failed shouldn't focus too much on that exam; you should focus on the next one. The second exam will begin in about three months," Mr. Alan said.

"Mr. Alan, what will the second exam be like?" asked one student.

"The second exam won't be the same as the first. Well, the main thing is that you just keep practicing to improve your strength because the second exam is a battle between students," Mr. Alan said.

"A battle between students? Is it the same as the daily matches?" asked another student.

"I can't explain the details today. I'll explain them when the second exam is near. If you say it's like a daily match, that's either true or false. Anyway, you don't need to think about what the second exam will be like. Just focus on improving your strength. Well then, let's begin today's lesson," said Mr. Alan.

  -

The hours ticked by, and finally, today's lesson was over.

"Let's end today's lesson, then. See you tomorrow," said Mr. Alan.

But as Mr. Alan finished speaking, a bright light suddenly appeared from his pocket. Mr. Alan immediately took something out of his pocket.

  "That's a communication crystal," I thought.

Then Mr. Alan began to converse with someone through the crystal.

"Okay, I'll tell you," said Mr. Alan.

The light from the crystal dimmed, and Mr. Alan put it back in his pocket.

"Rid, the principal wishes to see you. You're requested to go to the principal's office. Please follow me," said Mr. Alan.

The students who heard this were shocked.

"The principal? Why does the principal want to see you, Rid?" asked Noa, also surprised.

  "I don't know either," I said.

"Why did Miss Karina ask me to meet her?" I thought.

"Okay, then you can go straight to the principal's office, Rid. We'll wait for you in the second-floor arena as usual," said Charles.

"Okay, then I'll go first," I said.

I left the classroom first and followed Mr. Alan to the faculty and staff building.

"By the way, Rid. What's the matter that the principal called you?" Mr. Alan asked.

"I don't know either. Wasn't Mr. Alan informed when the principal contacted you?" I asked.

"No, she said to bring you along, but she didn't explain why," said Mr. Alan.

  "I see," I said.

Finally, we entered the faculty and staff building. On the first floor, it looked like a lobby for receiving guests, and there were several rooms I didn't know what they were.

"The principal's office is on the fifth floor. We'll take the stairs up there," said Mr. Alan.

I went up to the second floor and then to the fourth. Each floor had a room like the one on the first floor, which seemed to be for staff and faculty. The room was enclosed, so it couldn't be seen from outside. Finally, we reached the fifth floor. When we reached the fifth floor, there was a hallway with many doors next to it, and at the end of it, another door.

"The principal's office is at the end of this hallway," said Mr. Alan.

We walked towards the end of the hallway. But as we were walking, a middle-aged man suddenly emerged from a room next to the hallway. I recognized the man; he was the vice principal, Frederick Zielman.

"Hmm, Alan, do you have any business with the principal? Especially since you brought a student today," said Mr. Frederick.

"Ah yes, Mr. Frederick. The principal asked me to bring this student to her," said Mr. Alan.

"Hmm, are you Rid Archie?" asked Mr. Frederick.

"Yes, sir. How do you know me when we've never even spoken before?" I said.

"I've always been paying attention to the talented students at this academy. So how could I not know?" said Mr. Frederick.

"I see. It's an honor to be known and remembered by you, sir," I said, bowing.

"Hahaha, okay, then you guys go ahead and meet the principal. I'll be going out for a moment too," said Mr. Frederick.

  "Yes, sir," said Mr. Alan.

Mr. Frederick headed for the stairs, and we continued our way to the principal's office. Finally, we arrived at the door.

  *Knock *Knock *Knock

  Mr. Alan knocked first.

"Yes?" said Miss Karina from inside.

"It's Alan, miss. I brought Rid Archie," said Mr. Alan.

"Send him in," said Miss Karina.

  "Yes," said Mr. Alan.

Mr. Alan opened the door and invited me in. I entered the room and saw Miss Karina sitting at her desk.

"You may go, Alan. Thank you for bringing him," said Miss Karina.

"You're welcome, Miss," said Mr. Alan.

Mr. Alan closed the door and left.

"Excuse me for asking, but what does Miss Karina need with me? No, wait a moment...Miss Karina?..." I said.

I realized something when I entered the room. The person sitting in front of me did indeed look like Miss Karina. However, her aura was very different from the Miss Karina I knew.

  "...who are you?" I asked.

  'Miss Karina' smiled.

"Who would have thought that someone would recognize my disguise?" said "Miss Karina."

'Miss Karina' transformed into a woman with golden blonde hair. Her hair color was the same as Charles and Chloe's.

"As Karina said, you're an interesting person, even though you're just a student here," the woman said.

The woman's face resembled Chloe's, practically an adult version of Chloe.

  "This is our first meeting.

"Let me introduce myself. My name is Kayana Estella San Fulgen, Queen of this kingdom," said the woman.
