Chapter 82 : The Academys Strongest Student

On Sunday, in the afternoon, I decided to go to the library again. During these three days off, I'd been going to the library every afternoon because it was a great place to spend my free time.

  "Hello, Rid," said Senior Gretta.

  "Hello too, Senior," I said.

Sometimes, whenever I went to the library on my days off, I'd always run into Senior Gretta. We'd even share a table when we read.

"You just showed up today, Senior. You weren't here the last two days," I said.

"Were you here yesterday too? Sorry, I've been so busy with work at Elevrad the past two days that I couldn't come to the library. You must have missed me, right?" asked Senior Gretta.

  "No," I said.

"By the way, how was your first exam? Was it easy?" asked Senior Gretta.

  "Yeah, that's it," I said.

"You just said the exam was easy," said Senior Gretta.

"What about you, Senior? Was the first exam for the fourth years easy?" I asked.

"It was easy, because the first exam for the fourth years was almost the same as the exams for previous years, including the first year," said Senior Gretta.

"The exam was against wooden dummies?" I asked.

"Not wooden dummies, but basically, the exam was against dolls, but each year had a different type of doll to fight. The higher your year, the harder the type of doll you fought," said Senior Gretta.

"I see. So, you could say the dolls the fourth years fought in the first exam were made of a harder material than in previous years?" I asked.

"Yes, that's how it is," said Senior Gretta.

"As for the points awarded on the exam, do each year's class get the same points for each exam?" I asked.

"It's the same, the total points earned on the first exam for the fourth years is also 2000 points," said Senior Gretta.

  "I see," I said.

"Is there anything else you want to ask about this exam?" asked Senior Gretta.

  "Nothing," I said.

"Are you sure? Don't you want to ask about the second exam in December?" asked Senior Gretta.

"No, I'd rather find out later," I said.

"Okay, well, the exams for each year are pretty similar. That's all I can say," said Senior Gretta.

"Thanks for the info, Senior Gretta," I said.

"You're welcome. By the way, Rid, how many points have you accumulated so far?" asked Senior Gretta.

"Probably around 13,000-14,000 points," I said.

"That's a lot, and you've only been at this academy for three months. Well, that's understandable, since you've never lost a daily match, so your points keep increasing and never decreasing. If you consistently win daily matches, complete all four exams, and win the tournament, it's possible you'll have 60,000 points by the end of the school year. You can earn a gold badge right away, but you still have to follow the academy's academic year order. Even if you manage to earn 60,000 points by the end of your first year, you'll still have to advance to second year first, although you can earn a gold badge to advance to third year with those points," said Senior Gretta.

This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.

  "I see," I said.

"But that's good, isn't it? At least you've achieved your goal of advancing to third year, even though you have to complete second year first," Senior Gretta said.

"Yes, that's true, but that's only if Senior Gretta agrees. Maybe I could win daily matches consistently and complete all four exams, but as for the academy tournament, I'm not sure," I said.

"Yes, you're right. It's not easy to win the academy tournament because you have to compete against students from other years," said Senior Gretta.

"What about Senior Gretta? Are your points enough to graduate at the end of the school year?" I asked.

"I've already accumulated about 120,000 points, with 30,000 left. I think I can get them before the end of the school year," said Senior Gretta.

"Has Senior Gretta ever lost in a daily match?" I asked.

"Of course, even the president has lost in a daily match," said Senior Gretta.

"Senior Vyn has lost too? I didn't expect that," I said, slightly surprised.

"But that was back then, I think, when he was in his first or second year. Now, I haven't seen him lose. Well, you could say that the president is currently the strongest male student in the fourth year, or maybe in all the years at this academy. But there's also someone in the same class as the president who has strength equal to the president. Even so, I'd still vote for the president if there were a vote on who the strongest male student in this academy was, if it were between the president and that person," said Senior Gretta.

"I see. Are you and Senior Vyn in the same class?" I asked.

"Yes, we are in the same class," said Senior Gretta.

"That means your class is filled with very strong people, right? If Senior Vyn is the strongest male student in this academy, then you are the strongest female student in this academy, right? The two strongest students are from the same class," I said.

"Ah no, no. The strongest female student in this academy isn't me. Because there is still a female student who is stronger than me," I said.

"You're not the strongest female student in this academy, senior? I thought you were because you managed to beat senior Vyn when she fought me," I said.

"Hahaha, please forget about that. But it's true, I'm not the strongest female student. There's still one person stronger than me, because I've never won against her. But when you said our class is filled with strong people, you're right, because this strongest female student is in the same class as me and the president," said senior Gretta.

"I'm curious who that person is," I said.

"You'll find out for yourself soon," said senior Gretta.

After that, we continued reading the books we brought. Then, a few moments later, senior Gretta closed her book and excused herself.

"I'm going back first, Rid. I'll only read for a bit today because I actually still have work to do at Elevrad," said senior Gretta.

"I see. It seems being an Elevrad is really tiring, huh?" I said.

"Yes, especially since I'm the secretary of Elevrad. I might have less work to do if Elevrad adds new members," said Senior Gretta.

"Don't tell me you're going to try to invite me again?" I asked.

"No, no, I was just expressing my thoughts, especially since no first-year students have joined Elevrad yet, so we're shorthanded. Our president only invites people he deems worthy of recruitment. But the people we've already invited haven't said whether they'll join or not," said Senior Gretta.

  "It seems difficult," I said.

"You're so relaxed about talking like that, even though you're one of the people we invited. But well, this situation happens every year, so I'm a little used to it," said Senior Gretta.

  "A little...," I said.

"But I'd be very happy if you accepted the invitation to join Elevrad, Rid," said Senior Gretta.

"I'll think about it later," I said.

"You always answer the same thing. Okay, I'm going. See you later, Rid," said Senior Gretta.

  "See you later," I said.

Senior Gretta left the library while I continued reading my book.

  Later that evening.

In what appeared to be a private room, Miss Karina was sitting reading documents on her desk. Suddenly, the communication crystal on her desk glowed. Miss Karina immediately picked it up.

"Hello?" said Miss Karina, holding the crystal.

"Karina, it's me," said the person behind the crystal.

"Your Majesty the Queen? No, I mean big sis. What do you need to contact me for?" asked Miss Karina.

It turned out that the person contacting Miss Karina was Her Majesty Queen Kayana.

"There's something I need to discuss with you, but I'd like to discuss it in person. May I go to the academy?" asked Queen Kayana.

"What a coincidence, I also wanted to discuss a few things with you, sis. Please feel free to go to the academy. Will you be bringing some guards with you when you go here?" asked Lady Karina.

"No, I'm coming alone," said Queen Kayana.

"Even though you're a Queen, even without guards, I think you'll still be safe, sis. Besides, who would want to mess with the strongest witch in this kingdom?" said Lady Karina.

"I don't know who gave me that nickname. I'm just a weak woman," said Queen Kayana.

"Yes, it's up to you, sis. So when will you be here?" asked Lady Karina.

  "Actually..." said Queen Kayana.

Not far from the front gate of the Academy, stood a woman wearing a hat and holding a communication crystal.

"I'm already in front of the Academy gate right now. So, could you come here to pick me up?" said Queen Kayana.
