chapter 1

  Continent: Behnam. (Once Asia)

  Human territory.

In a small, isoted vilge, south of the continent.

Dull grey smoke rose to the sky, accompanied by fierce bright fmes that danced angrily, as they ate the through the dry thatched huts of the vilge. The once lightless night was now lit bright by the burning inferno.

Fearful, and hopeless cries filled the skies, the weeping of women and children sorrowful enough to melt the heart of the most cruel tyrants. That was because, even tyrants were human. Humans had empathy.

  Monsters however, had none.

At the edge of the vilge, near the forest, was a long line. In it stood fearful, and bloody vilges.

The end of the line led to a throne. On it, sat a colossal creature that resembled a woman. Her strange dark, smoky dress cascaded to the ground, and thick bck vine like hair fell past her shoulders. The top half of her face was covered by a skull-mask from some monster, revealing only abyssal-like eyes. A wicked smile sat on her face, revealing rows of sharp, and bloody teeth. All that looked at her horrifying appearance could feel chills run down their spine. Around her, hundreds of creatures stood, some of them skeletons, or either halfway through rotting.

Before the woman, now stood a porky man. His head lowered in fear, unable to look into her eyes. The woman regarded him amusingly, as if enjoying his fear.

"You can stay alive, now get away." She said, waving him away. One of the corpses standing by, roughly pushed the man away, and the next person approached.

This time it was an old man. As he staggered forward, she regarded him with visible disgust.

"You are of no use." Her mouth opened, the corners of her mouth almost reaching her ears. A long lizard like tongue shot out and wrapped around the old man before pulling him into her open mouth. He could only whimper helplessly, as he was snatched into the wide mouth of the vile woman. Then, she began to chew, each bite sending out terrifying crunches.

People whimpered silently as they watched, their hearts trembling in fear.

  The next turn came.

A man came forward, and behind him a thin, weak woman carrying a baby followed. He limped as he walked, but unlike the others he showed little signs of fear.

After regarding him, scorn showed on the creatures face.

"A cripple, a weak woman and a baby? So utterly useless." Her mouth opened, and the tongue shot out.

All held their breath as they prepared to witness yet another massacre.

However, that was not the case.

A shield opened in the hand of the man, and he raised it, deflecting the tongue.

A spear appeared in the other hand. The man dashed forward, his spear thrust toward the woman.

Blood spilled into the air, and an angry shriek tore through space. The man's spear was now lodged in a single eye of the woman, and she cwed at it in pain.

"Run! To the boat!" The man shouted to his wife. At his words, she came to her senses and turned around, fleeing into the bushes bordering the vilge.

The hair like vines shot out like arrows and struck the man, sending him flying.

"AFTER THEM YOU FOOLS! NOW!" The woman shrieked, in a voice so loud, all those present fell to the round, as they covered their ears.

The woman rose from her throne, the spear now lodged free from her eye, and blood flowing the hole of her skull mask. Her single bck eye gred furiously at the man, as she glided toward him.

"You! She spat, her tone hysterical and furious. "How dare you!?"

The man stood straight, ready to fight. He raised his shield, which was now his only weapon remaining.

"No..." He said, his eyes staring right back at the woman. "How dare you?"

At that he dashed forward. At his movement, the corpses that surrounded the woman's throne swarmed to him.

The first few reached him, and they swung their weapons at him.

The man blocked some attacks, and dodged others. Before he kicked forward, sending a corpse crashing to the ground. He spun around and smmed his shield into another, before he ducked low to dodge another attack.

He rolled forward and picked up a sword dropped by a corpse he had hit, before rising and swinging like a madman. One by one, corpses fell, and it looked like he would win, until a single vine tore through the air, in his direction.

Noticing it too te, he tried to dive through the side, but by then, it had already found its way into his chest. The man's eyes widened, and he spat out a mouthful of blood. His body was raised into the air, before it was thrown into a nearby tree.

It hit the tree violently, before nding to the ground in a heap.

"Now..." The woman turned her eyes to the woods, before melting into the shadows.

  "Now we get his family."

The woman dashed through the darkness, her child clutched to her bosom. Her heart raced in fear and desperation and her breath grew heavier with every step.

  "Grrr!"

Menacing growls filled the air, and she didn't dare to turn around. She already knew...

The corpses were gaining on her. She took a few turns, diving through bushes and jumping down ledges until she lost the pursuers, until she came to a clearing. At it's edge, sat a wooden boat. She sped to the boat and pced the baby in it, she was about to enter, but she heard rustling in the bush behind her. She spun around, to see a figure over 10 meters tall appear.

"Here you are!" The woman hissed, as she crept toward the woman.

"Stay back!" The woman cried out, as she shielded the boat with her frail body.

"Or what?" The woman asked, tilting her head scornfully. She crept closer, and outstretched her hand, her cwed fingers reaching behind the woman.

"No!" The woman cried, to no avail, as she watched her child be snatched away.

  "No..."

She trembled, and tears fell from her eyes.

  "I said... STAY AWAY!"

A bright purple light radiated from her body, mushrooming into a giant sphere, and throwing the giantess far back. Trees snapped as she crashed into them, and she disappeared in the mess. The mother spun around and untied the string which anchored the boat before she pushed the boat away. It glided away, before following the stream and drifting away.

"I SHALL NOT ALLOW IT!" The woman crashed out from the wreckage of trees, and swung her hand at the woman, sending her flying. Her tongue stretched out, reaching for the infant, but it failed to reach.

What did reach, was a few drops of her saliva. A single drop fell to the hand of the baby boy, instantly burning it. A leaf shaped mark formed, and the baby began to cry out.

The boat drifted into the distance, the baby's cry filling the night, together with the angry shrieks of the fiendish woman.
