On Odel, as the humans left.
The elves were left alone, as the southeast district houses were destroyed, most of them. Only a few were left, and a tower of the palace was gone, and reduced to ashes.
Back inside the palace, Annora and Leoric, were in the strategy room, Leoric was clearly angry at Annora for blowing the horn.
"why the fuck did you blow the horn?" Leoric exclaimed.
"that was the only one, we don't more tl die, especially you"
"I was going to kill that knight, I was taking up to the skies of dragons, but no just as I thought I won, my dumb fucking king blew the horn" Leoric raged, his arms swaying in the air as he walked around the room, it was the first Annora saw him like this.
"was there a reason? Was there a reason you wanted to continue fighting?"
Leoric, stood still, his back facing Annora, he turned slightly to look at Annora, his face full of rage and anger towards Alaric.
"yes, there was" Leoric said,
"and what was this probably foolishly reason?"
Leoric, then turned to face Annora completely, he looked down a bit, his eyes not meeting Annora's,
"he's the one who killed father..." Said Leoric, his voice almost inexistent.
Annora's eyes widened, he didn't expect that answer, let alone the tone it was said in especially by that particular person. Normally a playful and never serious person, Leoric, didn't really much care, but something about that made Annora, think that this was not something to let go.
"he's still roaming the earth?" Annora asked, voice trembling with fear.

"yes, he is, he's the one I fought"
Annora walked towards Leoric, and put his hand on his shoulder, Leoric, was looking down, but as he felt that touch, he looked up at his 'brother' confused.
Seeing Annora, it was clear those words changed something in him. The soft spoken Annora, there always was, was now... Changed? There was rage bigger than Leoric's.
"what do you suggest we do?" Annora asked.
"we, we can't do what I want... Can we?"
"I'll break the rules of our kin this one time, everyone would understand."
"if you say so... Brother..." Leoric said, it was the first time he said it ever since what felt like eternity.
And with that, it was settled, the elves were going to fight, and start an attack for the first time, since never. It went against everything they were raised on, but Annora knew it was necessary, to avenge their father.
He started immediate training and strategizing on how they'll do the attack on Adelaide, they've never done this, so it was quite the difficult order.
While the soldiers were training, Annora and Leoric, stood on top of the debris and rubble of the fallen tower.
Each on a side,
"there was a wall of fire there, just like 9 years ago." said Leoric, pointing on a hill of debris, as he reminisced of the previous fight, and the death of their father.
"then I saw the exact same silhouette we saw, 9 years ago, the same cape, same stance, same sword. It was all the same" continuined Leoric
"that day... Why... Why would he jump there, like there was northing to lose we were by his side, he should've stayed there, and protected us." said Annora, his voice breaking with every word, tears were about to all.
They both stood there, watching the rubble, as Leoric thought of the fight he just fought, and Annora of the day their father died.
"Annora, i know haven't been the best brother in the world, and it may not seen like it. But I'm sorry, I really am, I just couldn't bear the thought of seeing my older brother break in front of me."
"i was breaking, I needed comfort, you were the only one who could provide it, yet, you weren't there... When I needed you"
"I know, but I'm all I'm asking here, is for you, to forgive me"
Annora eyes were filled with tears. As he walked away, leaving Leoric to wonder, if he walked away because he didn't want to forgive him, or because he was about to cry.
Leoric knew he didn't deserve the forgiveness, but his brother was a soft person, raised on that premise, he wasn't arrogant like leoric was.
Annora was different, as if they weren't brothers, whether it be the clothes, the personality, which just makes him wonder too. Why did their parents make Annora feminine?
But it was the least of his worries now.
