November 1st,

  “Ok Gohan it’s time for your graduation ceremony, we decided that to pass you must survive against the both of us for the whole day, this will st until the sun has completely set understood. You can fight us head on or you can run and hide, to pass you must still be able to move by the time the night falls. You lose if we manage to knock you out or you are unable to move anymore, we will come at you with everything so prepare yourself. Tomorrow we will take the day off to rest and recover.” Piccolo said

  “Gohan, we want you to do everything you can to survive until night fall, like Piccolo said, I want to add that you can also win by knocking us out ok.” Raditz said

  “You just have to st until night fall so use everything you can to your advantage ok.” Piccolo said looking at Gohan

  “Ok I’m ready.” Gohan said as he grabbed his sword, and pcing it to his back

  “Good, then let’s begin.” Piccolo said looking at Raditz and nodding his head before they both lunged towards Gohan.

  Gohan leapt backwards to avoid them, when Raditz fired an energy bst in front of Gohan to kick up some dust then he flew up, while Piccolo flew into the dust screen and stretched out his arms through it to grab Gohan.

  When Gohan saw the arms, he flew up to avoid them, just to run into Raditz who tried to kick him, but Gohan managed to avoid it by firing an energy bst and using its momentum to avoid the kick.

  Where he ran into Piccolo who punched him in the face sending him down into the ground.

  “Ow.” Gohan said while he rubbed his face where Piccolo punched him, as he looked up to see where they were he saw Raditz flying down to meet him, and Piccolo was watching him.

  “Come on Gohan, I know you can do better.” Raditz shouted as he fired two energy bsts back-to-back at Gohan.

  Gohan responded by firing a two-handed energy bst into the ground sending him flying into the air past Raditz, where he spined and kicked Raditz ribs and Raditz caught his leg.

  Gohan used his tail to smack Raditz in the face, but it was caught by Raditz other hand, then Raditz smmed Gohan into the ground, then grabbed Gohans tail and swung him into the air, towards Piccolo who stretched his left arm to grab Gohan and bring him towards him, “Get over here.” Piccolo then delivered a flurry of right-handed punches to Gohan face.

  Gohan caught the fist with both hands and then used his tail to smack Piccolos repeatedly in the chest causing Piccolo to let him go.

  Then Gohan fired an energy bst at Piccolo’s face then as he escaped down, he saw Raditz flying up to meet him, Gohan responded “Saturday Crush!!” Raditz chopped the bst away to see that Gohan was flying away fast.

  Piccolo had managed to shake off the bst he had received to also see that Gohan was flying away.

  Gohan had managed to put some distance between himself and the other two, he then hid in a canyon that had a cave system, that he had explored earlier during his training. “I need to suppress my power level and think of a pn to survive, I thought I could fight them both but it’s hard to, they are working well together. One attacks while the other watches how I respond to it and then they block my counterattack making it hard for me to nd good attacks. I can sense them coming, if I want to st until nightfall, I need to find a way to separate them or trap them somewhere…I can use this cave system to my advantage, I can try…no they will sense my location if I fly or do anything that uses Ki. I’ll think of something else once they get here.”

  “Good Gohan if you are at a disadvantage then it’s smart to retreat and come up with a pn!” Piccolo shouted.

  “Come on Gohan you’re a saiyan, and saiyans don’t run from a fight...I can’t sense him.” Raditz said,

  “Yeah, he’s hiding his power level, it’s smart of him there are a lot of pces he can hide and as long as he doesn’t use any Ki it will be hard for us to find him.” Piccolo responded.

  Gohan left where he was hiding and ran towards some trees he saw when he flew here. Once he got to the trees Gohan looked for a pce to hide before he put his pn in motion, he found a pound that had a under water cave system that connect with the other caves, then he went towards one of the bigger trees and used his sword to cut it down.

  When the tree fell it made a loud sound as the birds flew up in the air scared by the tree suddenly falling. Gohan ran away from where he had cut down the tree causing it to fall, “They should have heard that, and should be heading this way, I must hurry before they get here.” Gohan said as he reached the pound, took off his sword and stuck it near the edge of the pond then dove into it and swam towards the entrance of the cave.

  “I can sense them, they are close, just have to wait until they see my sword.” Gohan thought as he saw them appear overhead, looking for him, he saw Raditz point at his sword then at the pound where Gohan was hiding. Gohan smiled then fired two energy bst at them, then swam quickly to the interior of the cave as he flew out and nded on the ground, he ran to one of the passageways, he found earlier where he could see the entrance of the cave and waited for Piccolo and Raditz to show up. When he saw them emerge from the water and nd on the ground he fired a second bst towards the ceiling above their heads, “Masenko Ha!!” this caused pieces of the ceiling to fall towards them as they drove out of the way it also blocked the way they came in.

  Gohan then came up behind Raditz silently then flying dropped kicked him catching him by surprise as the momentum carried Raditz through a passageway and straight the end of the passageway, “Saturday Crush!!” Gohan shouted as he fired it at Piccolo as he turned to look, as Raditz flew passed him.

  Gohan then ran towards the second passageway and the exit he found earlier, as he reached the exit, he flew into the air and saw that the sun had begun to set, there was maybe a few hours left so he decided to wait for them to come out, he sensed someone was coming out first with another person close behind them.

  As soon as he saw Piccolo was coming out first, he fired, “Masenko Ha!!” causing Piccolo to dive forward as rocks came falling and blocking the exit, trapping Raditz inside for the time being. Gohan then flew towards Piccolo and delivered a flying tackle before he could get up and then he delivered a flurry of punches and kicks, not giving Piccolo time to defend himself.

  Piccolo then charged up his Ki then released it, “Explosive Wave!!” the attack which was an explosion of ki with Piccolo at the center, sent Gohan flying into a wall, “That was smart Gohan using your environment to separate us, that way you can fight us one on one, and it looks like the sun is setting what are you going to do. Will you continue to run, or will you fight?” Piccolo asked as an explosion came from the exit he had blocked earlier, and Raditz came walking out and stood next to Piccolo.

  Gohan looked at both of them and saw that Raditz was injured, his armor was cracked in some pces, he had a cut that was bleeding across his right forearm, and Piccolo was bleeding from left arm, and the left half of his shirt was torn,

  “I’m going to fight, I’m tired of running.” Gohan said as he looked at his right hand and made a fist and flew down to the ground.

  Gohan lunged at Piccolo and Raditz and then Piccolo meet Gohan head on, as Raditz also came up to Gohan and attacked from the other side.

  Gohan blocked both punches with his elbows, then he pushed them back and attacked Piccolo with a flurry of punches that Piccolo blocked as Raditz came to back up Piccolo.

  Gohan managed to block and dodge most of their attacks, and he also managed to nd a few hits of his own against them, but they also nded their own attacks, as time dragged on the sun slowly set and Gohan could barely hold on anymore.

  Gohan staggered from exhaustion then got punched by both of them in the stomach causing him to keel over and fall to his knees, just before losing consciousness Gohan heard someone say, “Good job Gohan, you passed.”

  (AN: This chapter is the end of the Raditz Saga, next chapter is the start of the Vegeta Saga, which may be 10 chapters long as well, but I haven’t decided yet. I decided to write this chapter like this to help me practice writing fighting scenes and to give me a chance to show off Gohan’s intelligence. Gohan was never going to really win but not really lose either because Gohan is 5 years old now and he hasn’t really had any real battle experience like Piccolo and Raditz do this ending shows that Gohan has grown a lot from the beginning of his training until now where he really couldn’t do much against Piccolo and Raditz to now where he could fight them well. Like st time I will take a break for a few days and then start the Vegeta Saga, I hope you guys liked the first Volume.)
