The next day after Shawn's family had their dinner at Alex and Linda's restaurant to celebrate young Olivia's return to good health, they packed their bags and tossed them in the trunk of the pickup truck and got in then left towards the farmnd which is going to be their new home in the future.

  Little Max was staring out of the window at the face of the mature woman which he's going to miss cuckolding her pathetic husband, unfortunately he's not going to be able to do it everyday like st week but he already agreed with his father that he get's a day free every week to take a break and do whatever he wants... His father even agreed to let him spend the night in their apartment whenever he's visiting the city but under one condition not parties and no trouble.

  Once these rules are broken he can kiss his "Break" goodbye and he's stuck in the farmnd with the family whether he likes it or not.

  Of course Max agreed because that means he gets to enjoy his time with the woman next door and the woman Bryan sends his way at the same time which is something he never tried before!

  Shawn was sitting next to the window on other side of the backseat and daydreaming about his time together with Riley in the farmnd, he finally gathered his courage and asked her if she'd like to come live with him and she hesitated because that pce actually belongs to Bryan not her boyfriend but in the end she gritted her teeth and agreed as if saying : "Fuck that guy! Let's do it."

  However, Riley still told Shawn that she'd be in her shop at least three times every week to make sure that nothing shady is happening since making a loss in the business which she started thanks to the help of that annoying Bryan would be such a shameful experience which she never wishes for that situation to ever happen.

  Shawn agreed with her since in the matter of a couple weeks everything surrounding him has become reted to Bryan all of a sudden, his girlfriend, his family... He wonders if that guy could influence more things in his life which is frightening him.

  Thankfully that fellow can be annoying but he's not malicious or all of their lives would've been a true hell on earth once he targets them.

  Scott was driving this vehicle which thrilled his heart since the st time he drove his father's pickup truck was just a rusty, smelly, and old thing compared to this beast which is bulletproof!

  Even an old man like him was having the urge to floor the acceleration pedal once they entered the highway which was empty on the speeding nes, the husband held his wife's hand then smirked at Monika who understood what her man is thinking and rolled her eyes at him before looking back to check that every member of their family has the seatbelt on.

  Once she wrinkled her nose at Scott as if to show him her dissatisfaction he just smiled because Monika was just as excited at him if not more.

  *Vrrrrr*

  "Whoa!" Max felt the effect when his father pushed the gas and held the steering wheel with both hands while focusing on the road ahead.

  "Dad. You're breaking the speed limit!" Shawn frowned because he thought his father was still rusty after not driving for so long.

  "Faster!" Young Olivia held tight but her position in the center gave her the best view of the road and it excited her to see her father passing so many cars and gaining ground quickly on more of the cars far ahead.

  "Rex Shawn, just let him have his fun." Monika said while memories of silly adventures back in their youthful days together pyed in her mind... She really needed to have this moment where the roaring engine felt like it's venting her husband's pent up frustration after years being stuck together with their children in the stuffy environment of the city.

  Only those who experienced the peace and quiet would appreciate the peace and quiet when it's no longer avaible for them anymore, her man is one of the quiet ones but she knows just exactly how it looks beneath that ft face of his... She could still remember the day he received the news of his father passing away and how Scott almost seemed like he aged a decade then soon afterwards his mother succumbed to her sorrow and followed her husband which caused her husband to retreat into a dark corner of his normal self.

  Right when Monika thought she got used to this lukewarm version of her husband after spending a few years in the city where she got to see him keep waking up early as if an imaginary rooster is singing in his ears everyday to wake him up around the same time... Their youngest son messed up bad when he was supposed to be the one taking his sister with him to school.

  That accident from months ago caused Scott to almost withdraw completely into despair, the worst feeling was Monika herself needing her husband the most yet being unable to be selfish towards him because she's aware that for her man the worst feeling was being helpless to do anything... Standing to the side and watching his parents lose their farm when he was trying his best and working his ass of from long before daybreak until the dark of night without pause.

  Having to move to the city to find any work for himself just so he would be able to feed his family, a job which he isn't suitable for, a lifestyle which he isn't happy with, an environment which he isn't comfortable in, and on top of all that feeling like he betrayed both of his parents who needed him the most but he had to leave with his family because he didn't want to burden them.

  Next was the worst scenario of losing both parents in such a short span of time... A KO combo which almost broke his spirit completely but he had to keep going for their children.

  He also had to watch as their eldest son which is a bright and intelligent person... Make the decision of cutting his journey of studying short and find work to help his family.

  Finally he had to watch helplessly as their only daughter which is the softest spot in his wounded and exhausted heart... Fall in a long coma after the accident and all signs were pointing to a fate worse than death for her husband who's never give the nod to shut the machines and give their baby girl a "Merciful Ending" like the doctors kept saying after a few months passed with no improvements to young Olivia's condition.

  Not to mention the financial strain their family was put through with all the medical examinations and hospital expenses which was sughtering their budget, thankfully her two men worked hard and in silence while the immature fellow tried to keep himself invisible for as long as possible because he knows deep down that all of this was his fault!

  Monika would be tempted to beat Max until every bone of his body is broke but in the end she'd sigh and try to distract herself from such unhealthy thoughts because punishing her youngest son wouldn't change anything and what's done is done.

  But it all changed when Bryan came to the picture, first they were doubting the validity of his promise but a desperate person would jump off a cliff and they were just that... A leap of faith was all they needed and here they're.

  All five members of their family back on the road just like how their journey of sorrow and struggle began years ago, but this time their future is looking bright while instead of feeling bleak they're hopeful and eager for the time to come.

  Scott eased his foot off the gas once his emotions settled down at st then looked at Monika and nodded as if to say : "I'm alright hon." which caused her to smile while honest tears of joy trickled down her face once she saw her man smile at her like before back in the day so while holding his hand only he got the next message she sent him because no words came out of her mouth : "Welcome back." was what Monika transmitted visibly through her moving lips to Scott who kissed her hand while keeping his eye on the road.

  Olivia snickered once she saw her mother blushing and trying to hide her shy and embarrassed expression from her children.

  Shawn acted like he's watching the scene from his window but he was smiling because this is nice.

  Max wanted to stuff his hand in his throat to puke his guts and scowled before turning his attention to his window because he doesn't want to see his parents flirting since it'd give him nightmares.
