Chapter 58- Coldest town

"You never gave me a real answer!" Midgure tells Hilt.

"For what?" Hilt says, her tone sharper than usual.

"He's talking about fucking." Roy shrugs.

Midgure's grin is... not exactly pleasing. I guess you could call it ugly, and if we're getting specific... Horrendous, repulsive, any word for bad really. He leans on the wall, pcing his arm above Hilt's head. The size difference would make you think Midgure is the more dominant one here, but he's really just a big dog. Nothing about him except size, and a pyful attitude. And his attitude isn't as pyful as it is sexual.

  "No." Hilt shrugs.

We purchased two rooms, one for Midgure and Roy, one for Teir, Hilt, and I. It'd be nice to have my own room for once, but we're on a budget and it's only really for one night, Though, I don't want to spend a huge amount of money on winter gear if we're just travelling in this cold for a few days. Survival is still a top priority but we can't go wasting money on things we'll have to dump off at some random town.

Hilt walks towards one of the two doors. The doors face each other on opposite sides of the hallway, they're backed up in the corner of the inn. More privacy, but feels like we're the people you don't want to see in public. The one we got was the left one, Midgure and Roy get the right one. Teir rushes in behind Hilt as she opens the door. There's two beds, Teir jumps on one of them, directly in the middle of the bed. She's just big enough to cover up the whole bed.

  "I guess we're sharing." I chuckle.

"I'm going to Midgure's room." Hilt chuckles, bumping our shoulders.

She steps towards the bed and sits down on the edge. She takes off her shoe and flips her ankle up onto her knee. It's red... Very red... Extremely red, redder than an apple, or maybe even a cherry.

"How are you even walking on that?" I ask her.

"I don't know." She shrugs, "Determination."

"Or you don't want to embarrass yourself, especially in front of a... Special bore." I say.

"Don't... say things like that. Please." Hilt sighs.

"Oh, so you can make jokes like that but I can't." I ugh.

Hilt falls down onto her back and closes her eyes. She's ying in the middle of the bed, just like Teir. Where can I sleep now? I guess I could just move her but... It's fine, there's a couch in the corner of the room anyways. I stand up and stumble towards the couch, plopping down directly in the middle of it. My head leans back on the backrest. My eyes feel heavy and I feel my conscious drift.

The snow's gotten worse. The blizzard just outside the vilge must've drifted into to town a little. It's not really a shocker that a vilge constantly surrounded by a blizzard gets snow every once and a while. Since the other two are a sleep, maybe I can go out for a bit. I'll bring them back some food and winter clothes.

I swing open the door and put on a makeshift sweater I made from a worn bnket. It only took a few minutes, and it should be warm enough. This storm wouldn't do anything major anyways, or at least I'd think. I've never really been in such a snowy area. I wonder what it'd be like in winter here. Too bad we'll be gone, winter is only a few weeks away. Walking down the hall back to the front desk, Roy sits on a small couch next to the front exit.

"Pyra? What're you doing up so early?" He asks.

"I'm just an early bird." I tell him.

"Well, since we're both here," He suggest, "why don't we go search town together."

"Y'know what, why not." I shrug.

Roy grabs the edges of the couch and hoists himself up. His hands sweep away crumbs that were ying on his p. They look like bread crumbs, maybe from some type of sandwich.

"So, where should we go first?" Roy asks me.

"Don't know, I was just going to search around town." I tell him.

Roy opens the door and takes a half step out. His arms snap into a cross and he jumps backwards into the inn, his teeth chatter and his body shivers.

"Are you okay?" I ask, bending down onto one knee.

"Yeah." He says, stuttering, "I-It's just... c-colder than I t-thought."

"Do you... Want a sweater." I ugh.

  "A s-sweater would be a-awesome." He replies.

Great! I just have to go make another jacket. That's fine, it'll just put a stop on things. I reach out my hand towards Roy, he grabs it and I pull him up onto his feet.

"I have a sweater." The dy at the front desk tells me.

  "Really!" I shout.

"Yeah, it's about ten copper though." She says.

"That's fine." I tell her, leaving ten copper onto the counter.

She takes the coins and bends down, grabbing a small box from under her. She pulls a sweater out of the box and hands it to me.

"There you are. Have a nice day!" She smiles.

"You too." I reply, walking back towards Roy.

Roy grabs the sweater form me and pulls it over his head, quickly putting it on. We both step out of the inn doors. The town is quite rge, I don't even know where to start! A strange, hooded man is running directly towards us. He's staring at some kind of paper, and I don'tthink he even sees us. I barely catch a glimpse of him before he crashes into me causing both of us to crash onto the ground.

"Hey, watch it buddy!" Roy says.

"I'm sssorry!" The man says, "I wasss in a hurry!"

I recognize that lisp. Where did I hear it before, it was only a few days ago... Ronnie!

  "Ronnie?" I mutter.

"Pyra?" Ronnie jumps, "I've been looking everywheresss for you!"

  "Why?" I chuckle.

"Thissss man... hisss name wasss... Caleb I believesss." Ronnie tells me, "He'sss been sssearching for you, I have a letter he wrote right here."

Ronnie hands me a small piece of paper. It's a short letter, shorter then I thought I'd get from somebody I haven't seen in a month.

"Pyra,Cole and I are moving towards Redfang. I've hired a man named Ronnie to find you, I'm hoping he finds you soon. See you soon,Love, Caleb."
