Strive 85: Visiting

  Kibishi's POV

  The next morning

  Kibishi's Room

  Beep! Beep!

I slowly opened my eyes after being in slumber.

I sat up, stretched my arm, and then gave a big yawn. With my left hand covering my mouth while yawning, I started to recall what happened st night.

In all honesty, I didn't sleep as well as I'd hoped. Narrowing my eyes in a sleepy way, I just stared at the paint on my room's wall.

What Yosei mentioned about me being attractive really got to me.

But the worst part of it was that I kept thinking about Tao. Thankfully, my sinful mind didn't dare do some daydreaming in a dirty way.

Feeling relieved about that, I slowly turned and uncovered myself.

I stood up and lifted my pajamas enough to scratch my stomach. I took out my phone from my drawer and saw what time it was.

  "It's 4:30 a.m. right now. I'm really early..."

Damn it, I got up too early.

Oh well, that was probably a good thing, I supposed. I could use an hour to get my punishment done for the morning and then get started on the cooking part.

I knew I was supposed to meet up with my friends in the morning to work together to cook for the adults, but I was kinda scared to see them again. It had been almost a week since we st saw each other. Tao, Kuma, and Yosei might not mind hanging out with one another, but what about Jir?

I hadn't gotten a chance to talk to her yet.

I wanted to make sure if she was comfortable enough to be next to me.

"I know! I'll pay her a visit before getting the cooking done!" I smiled as I raised my index finger.

Yes! That was the pn! This way, I could figure out a way to apologize for anything that might've hurt her.

Indeed. I didn't want to hurt her ever again.

"Right. A quick shower and then brush my teeth. Afterward, I'll try my best to do my punishment for today and head to Jir's room to check up on her."

With a firm nod, I headed to my shower. My pn was to finish the task at hand and try to fix my mistakes.

  ***

After taking a shower and brushing my teeth, I ended up in front of Jir's door.

I knew it was still early, but I did my punishment earlier, so I had time before everyone else woke up.

"Right, here goes!" I formed both fists and nodded firmly.

Ready or not, Jir, here I come!

I slowly lifted my hand and started to knock on the door.

  Knock! Knock!

  .

  ..

  ....

  ........

  .......... Nothing.

"Maybe she's sleeping..." I whispered with a frown.

  Knock! Knock!

  I knocked once more.

  .

  ..

  ....

  ......

  ..................

  ....................... Still nothing.

I tilted my head at the door.

I wanted to compin about how Jir wasn't answering me, but I then remembered that it was still morning time and some people were still sleeping. Thinking about it that way, it was no wonder she wasn't getting the door at the moment.

"Maybe I'll just wait until ter..." I pced my hand under my chin.

  Yeah.

That seemed like the logical thing to do. I didn't want to bother her any further so—

"Mm... coming..." I heard a sleepy voice from the other side of the door.

I halted and then turned around since I didn't want to cause any more trouble.

  "S-shoot!"

  Cree...

Before I could move further, I heard the door open. Because of that, I couldn't help but look back once again.

And there she was, Jir, wearing an oversized long shirt and some big old fluffy boots for some reason. Her green hair was down as well.

  Cute...

I never knew Jir had a cute side to her! Having a shirt that was basically swallowing you was pretty adorable on its own...

Jir blinked at me while looking at me in disgust.

Realizing this, I scratched the side of my face.

  "Um, good mor—"

  Sm!

Before I could say anything else, Jir smmed the door in my face and I could hear her footsteps walking away.

In a panic, I rushed forward and smmed my hands on the door.

"Hey! Knock it off, Jir! I just want to talk to you!"

"Well, I don't want to talk to YOU! Good night!"

"Please! I just want to clear the air!" I begged.

I heard her footsteps stop midway. I then heard her footsteps get roughly louder until she swung the door open. With her brows lowered in an angry way, she spoke.

"What are you talking about?" She asked annoyingly.

"...W-well, uh, I just, um...." I looked away as I scratched the back of my neck.

"Spit it out or I'm smming the door on you!" Jir threatened as she closed her door midway.

I pushed the door open and sweated with a small smile.

"J-just give me a chance to expin myself! P-please..."

"..." Jir narrowed her eyes at me once more.

She seemed more pissed than ever before. Was there something I wasn't getting at, or...? Jir deeply sighed drastically and then opened her door widely.

"You got five minutes. Don't expin yourself and I'm using my spell to freeze your sorry ass."

"Gd to see you're alright, too..." I ughed nervously as I pced my hands in my jacket.

Jir grunted and backed away from the door to let me inside.

It was good to know that Jir hadn't changed all that much. Though, if it was like the first time we met—she would've cursed me even worse and even cast a spell for interrupting her sleeping time. As, Jir seemed willing to give me a chance.

  Kujira's Room

Taking a look into the room, it was rather smaller than mine.

It also had things that I had never seen before.

For starters, it had a fluffy bed with cute stuffed animals on it. A dog, a cat, and even a lizard, which I found surprising. Not only that, but I could see a couple of pots here and there, from biggest to smallest. But they were neatly stacked at the counter with some books on top of them.

Other than that, I could see the paint being bck with some animal paintings on it.

There were also a couple of singer posters on each wall and even on top of Jir's bed. I could also see a microphone, a boom box, and even a stand for those papers.

I also saw a ptop with some headphones plugged into it. There was also a trash can full of crumpled papers. The can was full as well since some papers were on the floor. Not to mention, there were some pencils and pens either on the floor or on her desktop.

If you asked me, it was a mixture of a witch who also wanted to be a music creator? I didn't know for sure, though. I just got that type of vibe from this room.

Jir walked past me while grumbling.

"Don't touch anything." Jir said as she pulled out her gaming chair and dragged it near her bedside.

Then, surprisingly, she grabbed a hold of my hand and dragged me towards her bed area that had her gamer chair waiting for her.

"J-just a minute!" I blushed intensely since I wasn't expecting her to do this due to how cold she could sometimes get.

It wasn't long before she let go and sat on top of her bed and crossed her legs.

  Dumbfounded, I froze in pce.

Not seeing me move, Jir grunted and then leaned forward and patted her gamer chair.

"Come on! I don't got all day!" Jir said while looking embarrassed.

"Oh, r-right." Stiffly, I race-walked towards the chair and slowly sat on it carefully.

With a creak, I id my back on the chair and then looked at Jir while she stared at me. And since I was a bit closer to her, I realized how she was like your childhood friend who seemed cold-hearted, but cared about your wellbeing.

Jir leaned forward and rested her head on her right palm while her legs were still crossed.

"So? What's so important that you had to wake me up?" Jir asked softly.

I wanted to answer, but the more I looked at her, the more I could see her girly side than ever before. The way her top leg was swinging, the way her skin was shining despite it being a bit darker due to the wall paint made me see Jir as a person who had her own charm and not just a random stranger.

Jir narrowed her eyes at me while blushing.

  "Pervert...." Jir called me.

"It's not like that!" I blushed madly.

"Then why did you turn silent?!"

"Because!" I lowered my head. "Because... I didn't know you were... into those type of things?"

  "What?"

I looked up and pointed at a nearby poster of a singer. Jir looked at it and then turned back at me with a small smile. "Ah! You noticed? Yeah, they're sorta my idols!"

  "Your idols?" I leaned forward.

"Yeah!" Jir's face beamed. "There's this one album where—"

Jir froze in pce and then looked angrily at me.

  "W-what?" I flinched.

"That's not what we're here for, Kib! Speak what you wanted to say!" Jir changed the subject and it led right back to the thing I wanted to talk about before.

And while I found that thoughtful, I was kinda curious about Jir more than ever.

But she was right. I couldn't waste any more time than I already did. Plus, we had work to do in an hour or so. It was best to get right to it and be done with it.

However, it wouldn't hurt to get to know Jir a bit more though.

Maybe I'll start us off with that?
