Newtonio was calmly fixing his old car in his workshop.
The place was packed with tools, loose cables, and jars with handwritten labels. On the wall, right above the workbench, there was a small yellow sticky note that read:
"Do not mix Red Bull with Substance X."
Newtonio didn't see it.
While adjusting a piece, he accidentally pushed a can of Red Bull with the back of his hand.
The can rolled slowly... and fell straight into the jar labeled Substance X.
—...
There was one second of absolute silence.
BOOM.
An explosion of blue and orange light filled the room. The pressure sent Newtonio flying as the workshop vanished in a blinding flash.
---
He woke up.
The first thing he noticed was the silence.
The second thing—trees: tall, twisted, and painted in impossible colors.
He crouched down and touched the ground.
—The grass... it's soft. Like cotton candy.
He looked around, confused.
—I guess I'm dead. How ironic... I always thought consciousness just shuts off when you die.
He looked down.
A backpack.
His notebook.
—Huh?
He shouted.
—Did I die or get teleported?!
Stolen story; please report.
—Ah... whatever.
He pulled out the notebook and calmly wrote:
Note: Do not leave the workspace messy again.
—AHHHH!
A piercing scream shattered the calm. It came from nearby.
Newtonio ran toward the sound.
---
He found knights lying on the ground, badly wounded.
And standing in front of them was a woman with intense blue eyes, black hair, and clothing inspired by Mesoamerican style.
But what truly left him speechless...
Was the creature facing her.
A colossal red demon, with twisted horns.
—What are you going to do, Ehecatzin? —the demon mocked—
Or should I say... little breeze?
Ehecatzin's arms trembled as she held her macuahuitl.
—I'll finish you, demon.
The demon laughed.
—You're exhausted, little wind. You defeated many of my army, but you and your people will die here.
Suddenly...
The demon froze.
An orange gas began to surround him.
—What is this?! My eyes! —he screamed, rolling on the ground— Help!
Blinded, he ran desperately toward a nearby river.
---
Ehecatzin dropped to her knees.
—Finally... Now... what do I do?
She was supposed to find someone to represent them, but there were too many injured.
Then she noticed something strange.
Beside her, a man was calmly writing.
Note: Pepper spray still works here. Just like always.
Ehecatzin stared at him, mouth wide open.
—How did you defeat the demon?
—What magic did you use?
—And... what's your name?
The man looked up.
—My name is Newtonio.
—And no, it's not magic. It's science.
—This is a chemical substance with ammonia. It's called pepper spray.
Ehecatzin gasped.
—Wait!
As she stepped away, the soldiers stopped bleeding.
—Young Newtonio stitched our wounds —one of them said— while you were fighting the demon.
Ehecatzin rushed back, practically jumping with excitement.
—Newtonio! Do you want to be part of our kingdom?
Newtonio looked around.
—Sure. I'm lost anyway... and I have no idea what I'm doing.
—Then let's go! —Ehecatzin said.
The wind began to spin, forming a carriage.
—Get everyone onboard.
Newtonio watched in awe.
—Wow... I just learned something new.
—How do you organize H?O and O? particles like that?
—What is that? —Ehecatzin asked.
Newtonio quickly wrote:
Note: Scientific terminology does not exist here. I have a lot of work to do.
Ehecatzin grabbed his arm.
—Let's go already!
