Chapter 10 - Silence

  The unsheathing of the katana split the air the dread and fear filled the room the man's melody presence was extremely sharp and it sent fear into the goons

  "Back off or we'll kill her!" One of the guards screamed he had a gun in his hand but he wasn't focused and his grip was shaky

  Four other men surrounded him and held their guns at the mysterious attacker, the man raised his katana his Hair was held by a headband that was connected to an eyepatch over his left eye the white streak in his spiky hair was a stark contrast to the rest of his black hair

  "Just hand over the kid nd you'll leave with your lives right.."

  The man scoffed cracking his back still holding his katana, the room was filled with tension as the guards held their guns to the man scared to shoot but scared to run

  "Yakucos Gantai, the world's most feared bounty hunter ey? It's a privilege" The man walked through the mansion down the stairs to a dark room as he sipped a glass of wine he opened the chained door and lit a candle throwing the glass on the floor

  "Now.. why don't we try again hmm... You know if you just cooperated we wouldn't be here right now would we baby?" The man stroked the girls face "now.. kill that bastard and bring me his eyes" the man smiled speaking through the earpiece

  The guards shot their rifles at Yakucos but he swiftly dodged through the rain of bullets making them look slow motion "Instrument, Planta ghaoth rollta" He chanted his katana raised in the sky he glided in the air and in the blink of an eye before the bullets could land he sliced the guards fingers off dropping all of them to their knees without a drop of blood on his katana.

  "Weak humans.. no melody in your systems how I pity.." he raised one of the guards heads snatching his earpiece "Ralpoon.. im coming for you and the girl" He sliced the man's head off dashing through the rooms. A loud slap was heard "You stupid bitch work!"

  Ralpoon struck the woman

  "He said you could he said you could give me melody make me a king he said you wouldn't be worthless" Ralpoon struck the woman again as she sobbed uncontrollably

  "Hes coming you useless bitch your going to get both of us killed" as Ralpoon spoke he felt a prescence even without melody he could feel Yakucos energy He backed up into the corner the Candle light illuminating Yakucos face

  "Times up old man.. for trafficking artists for melody extraction ill end your life.. and take the girl with me" he lifted his katana and held it to Ralpoons neck

  "Ey ey stop stop i can give you anything you want i can pay you double no triple!! Just please dont kill me"

  He shouted shuddering and tearing up Ralpoon retracted the blade and turned around much to the girls horror before he threw it backwards and it pierced Ralpoon in the neck

  "What a bluff.. stupid old man.. im a warrior of his word my honours worth more then any material object you could offer" he chanted "Instrument Planta ghaoth-rollta"

  Multiple razer sharp poisonous tumbleweeds entered into Ralpoons body cutting him up from the inside as he cried in pain as he was left to bleed.

  "Come m'lady I'll get ya out" Yakucos smiled extending his arm. They left the mansion He was covered in blood and she was shivering from fear

  The duo stepped into the fresh air walking out the mansion grounds "You know it's a dark world lady but you seem like a good egg.. its a shame the good egg always gets cooked ain't it"

  Yakucos stabbed the lady in the ankle "Nothing personal kid but the job wasn't for Ralpoon it was for you.." He cleaned her wound and lit a cigarette before walking away "Targets at the drop-off wire me the money and were all straight right.. mysty" Yakucos thought to himself and felt it transfer across

  "Good work Yakucos that'll do nicely" a mirror raised from the floor taking the woman as she screamed,

  "Now may I request one last job.. triple pay boost in honour maybe a bit of my power..?" He questioned, "Yes master I'll kill anybody for your power.." Yakucos replied "I have the perfect target for you then" An image of Shiki appeared in his mind

  "No no no.. that's a death wish isn't that the man who almost killed you, master? And you think I have a chance" Yakucos replied worried "Ah but you see Yakucos you don't have to fight him with weapons no.. use your mind find his weakness and when he's at his lowest crush him.. you have a powerful instrument son.. use it... I'll speak with you later" The presence of Mystline left his head

  "God that guy's such a dick.. least he didn't give me a deadline means I can slack about for a while... Now what do I do with my cash.." he walked into the distance covered in blood and no regrets

  Shiki sat in the sitting room watching the TV with Kurai "Ha I love that yellow man he's so funny especially when he eats bort" he snorted giggling uncontrollably his pocket buzzed "Wassup!!" he answered with a big goofy smile but it didn't last long

  "He's dead..? Who..? Where..?" The smile faded but he noticed Kurai's worried look and so he tried to regain himself "Understood I'll tell everyone" He hung up "Ralpoon.. he's dead" Shiki gathered the entire Workplace

  "Everyone's here besides Elreic he's still away in China finding himself or whatever.. anyway.. my enemy.. my. No. You see everyone and me Ralpoon we were enemies but we never really were I'd beat him up almost daily but it was a mutual respect I just thought he was a petty villain no.. he trafficked people for melody farming and extraction" Nozomi and Kurai gasped

  "But he... He was... A light in my life.. whenever we fought it was.. like 2 brothers bickering.. god" Shiki felt a tear roll down "i feel so horrible for mourning such an evil man but Even though he was a horrible person I can't believe he's gone.. I'm.. im going to find his killer I think I know who it is..."

  "His name is Yakucos Gantai He's a bounty hunter and a contract killer who is heavily feared and respected in the underworld his instrument is extremely deadly and dangerous if any of you besides Hotaru encounter him, run. Please run" Shiki warned the gang

  "I love you guys... I can't lose anyone else please.. please just stay safe.." Shiki smiled a warm heartfelt smile as Kurai held him into a hug "We're family here Shiki all of us... Me, You Hotaru, Lenton, Nozomi, Katsuo all of us.. and we're all here for you always" Kurai smiled repaying how Shiki helped him during his loss of Hotaru, "I never had a real family besides my younger brother.. and he.. he's gone.. but you.. You guys are my true family... everyone at Leixlip" Shiki grinned once again back to his old ways.
